John Krasinski: After days of speculation on who will win PEOPLE magazine's Sexiest Man Alive title for 2024, we have a winner. Actor-filmmaker John Krasinski has been named the Sexiest Man Alive for 2024 by PEOPLE Magazine. The actor admitted to having had zero thoughts in his head when he first got to know about the honour.
"Just immediate blackout, actuallyZero thoughts," Krasinski told PEOPLE in reaction to the news. The actor is best known for his sardonic nice guy role in the television comedy The Office.
"Other than maybe I'm being punked. That's not how I wake up, thinking, 'Is this the day that I'll be asked to be the Sexiest Man Alive?' And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me," he added.
Over the years, Krasinski, 45, has played several iconic roles on screen but being a real-life family man is most rewarding. Krasinski has been married to British actress Emily Blunt for the last 14 years and the couple share daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8 together.
The actor was especially excited to tell Blunt the news, saying "there was a lot of joy involved in me telling her."
Blunt, apparently joked that if he won the title, she planned to wallpaper their house with the cover of Krasinski featured on the cover of PEOPLE magazine.

"It's that beautiful thing where when you're married to someone, you're constantly learning and changing and evolving. And I'm so lucky to go through all that with her," he said about his wife.
The actor added winning the new title would 'change things' at home. "I think it's going to make me do more household chores," he joked.
Previous actors who have won the coveted title include Patrick Dempsey, Paul Rudd, Idris Elba, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds among others.
About John Krasinski
Most would recall him playing the paper guy Jim Halpert in the hit series The Office. He has also starred in Michale Bay's 13 Hours and played a daredevil agent in Jack Ryan in the hit series by the same name on Prime Video.
Krasinki is also one of the most successful filmmakers in Hollywood at this time. He starred in, wrote, produced and directed IF which was declared as a box office hit. The actor also directed A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II, both featured Blunt in the lead.
