
Sean ''Diddy'' Combs's 2016 video, purportedly showing him assaulting his then girlfriend, has sent shockwaves around the world. The hotel footage showed the rapper brutally kicking, punching and dragginghis ex-Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura. A week after the video was released and took the internet by storm, Cassie has broken her silence.
On Thursday (May 23), she expressed her gratitude for all the love and support that she has received in a week.
In an Instagram post, Cassie wrote,"for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet."
"The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now."
Speaking against domestic violence, the singer wrote, "But this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from the past."
"This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me."

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Apology
Hours after the video was released, Sean "Diddy" Combs issued a public apology via an Instagram post.
The hip-hop mogul, who has denied the allegations in the first place, accepted all his mistakes as he says, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that.I was f***ed up."
"I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behaviour on that video is inexcusable,” Combs said in the apology video.
However, he did not directly address the Cassie assault video.
