The Lannister twins, Jaime and Cersei had quite a reunion in ‘Game of Thrones’ season episode 5 that aired this Monday. The two met with a rather poetic death as they hugged and breathed their last before the walls broke above their head and they had nowhere to escape as Daenerys Targaryen attacked King’s Landing. While most were left sad with the developments of the episode, especially how Dany went all mad queen in the episode and Cersei got an underwhelming death -- another thing that caught the attention of many was a screengrab from the show that went viral that had Jaime and Cersei hugging with the former’s hand visible. This is the same hand that was shown as no more in the show and on which Jaime wore a fake golden hand.
Soon after the show aired, users started bashing the makers of the hit show for the gaffe. The show came under a barrage of comments when a Starbucks coffee made its way to episode 4 and Twitter had a field day.
But we know the real truth behind this as the clip did not make it to the edits and was not shown in the episode that aired. The error appeared in a behind-the-scenes image.
I saw this picture of Cersei & Jaime and went back to the episode to check out if they really forgot the hand. THEY DID NOT. I couldn't even find this shot in the episode. So this picture is fake. Don't trust everything you see.— Rainy ⎊ (@rain_martini) May 13, 2019
