HBO is all set to take you 90 years before the events of Games of Thrones with their upcoming series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a Game of Thrones prequel based on George R.R. Martin's Tales of Dunk and Egg.
In the preview footage, released before the Season 2 finale of House of the Dragon, fans got the first teaser for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight.
The brief footage introduces Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as Aegon V Targaryen, the pair better known as Dunk and Egg. The series follows these two unlikely heroes as they navigate Westeros in an era when the Targaryens still rule the Iron Throne and the last dragon's memory lingers.

Adapted from George R.R. Martin’s The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, and Mystery Knight, the series is expected to run for three seasons. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first season will consist of six episodes and is set to premiere in 2025.
According to the novellas, Dunk is a humble hedge knight, an itinerant knight without a lord, who embodies the ideals of chivalry, honour, and loyalty. Raised in the slums of Flea Bottom in King’s Landing, Dunk’s life takes a 360-degree turn when he meets Egg. As the two travel across Westeros, Egg learns the ways of knighthood from Dunk, who is completely unaware that the young squire is actually not a common man but Aegon Targaryen, who will later become King Aegon V.
