Karan Johar surprises fans on birthday, announces new project as director

Filmmaker Karan Johar had a successful 2023 with the release of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt'sRocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He is back to the director's chair for his upcoming untitled project. On his 52nd birthday, KJo took to Instagram to share a picture of himself holding a placard that read, "Untitled narration draft Directed by: Karan Johar 25th May 2024."
In the caption, he wrote, "Get… Set…. Go!" The picture showed the filmmakerposing in a crisp white shirt and silver glasses with a white backdrop. Check it out below!

Karan Joharstarted his journey in showbiz as a director in 1998. He helmed Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which became a cult classic. He later helmed films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham..., Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student of the Yearand Bombay Talkies.
In 2016, he directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai. Shah Rukh Khan and Fawad Khan. From 2016 to 2023, he took a hiatus from the director's role and focused on producing films. However, he did direct two anthologies in 2018 and 2020 for Netflix, titled Lust Stories and Ghost Stories.
