Election fever is at a high in India as the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are underway and four of the seven phases have completed. This year, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut made her debut in the political arena and is contesting from her hometown Mandi, Himachal Pradesh as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate.
Kangana has been busy campaigning in her constituency, and recently, the Gangster star revealed that she's ready to quit acting if she wins the elections.

Speaking to an Indian news channel Aaj Tak, the National Award-winning actress was asked if she wins in the Lok Sabha elections, then whether she will quit acting.
Responding to the answer quickly, Kangana said, ''yes.''

Talking further, Kangana said although she has been advised that she's a good actor and should not consider leavingBollywood.
''Mujhe bohot saare filmmakers kehte hain ki humare paas ek achchhi heroine hai, please mat jao. Main achchhi acting karti hoon, par chalo voh bhi ek achchha compliment hai. I take it in my stride (Several filmmakers say that they have one good actress, and please don't go. I am a good actor and I take its as a compliment).”

Kangana has been an actresswho has fearlessly slammed Bollywood's culture of politics and nepotism. So, there is a possibility that she might give up Bollywood, and focus more on her political career.
''The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment. It is a glossy world like a fake bubble which is to attract the audience. This is the reality,” she told Aaj Tak.

When asked how would she manage her filmcareer and politics, Kangana said, “I am a very passionate person. I never wanted to do a job because I had to. Even in films I start writing, and when I get bored of playing a role, I direct or produce, so I have a very fertile mind and I want to be passionately engaged.”
The Manikarnika actress has been campaigning for her elections in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and she shared her hectic scheduleon Instagram Stories. Posting a video of her campaigns, Kangana shared that she's travelling 450km in a single day and had no proper meal or snack timings.
She wrote, "After 6 Jan sabhas (public gathering) and multiple meet and greet with party workers, after 450km in a single day in rural mountains with worse roads and still travelling in the night, after no proper meal or snack timings I am wondering in my car, that filmi struggle about making movies is like a joke in front of this hustle uffff."
The voting in the state is scheduled to take place on June 1.
