Actor Rajesh Sharma is in the hospital in Kolkata after his health deteriorated after a suspected Spider or bug bite. The actor is not out of danger, and his infection has spread from his toes up to his knee.
Acclaimed actor Rajesh Sharma has met with an unexpected incident on the set of Prabhas’ upcoming film. Sharma, known for movies such as Special 26 and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, was shooting when he was bitten by an insect.
The actor has been admitted to a hospital in Dhakuria, West Bengal, and is reportedly still under observation.

Actor Rajesh Sharma is reportedly in the hospital in Kolkata after his health deteriorated after returning to the city after completing his shoot for Prabhas' film at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Telangana.
He's reportedly being admitted to the hospital's critical care. As per the health update shared by actor Sudipa Chatterjee, the actor suffered an insect bite, possibly from a bug or a poisonous spider, while he was shooting for Prabhas' film.

Chatterjee has shared the health update on behalf of the actor's family on his Instagram.
“Actor Rajesh Sharma reportedly suffered an insect bite-possibly from a bug or a poisonous spider while shooting at Ramoji Film City for a film starring renowned actor Prabhas. After pack-up, Rajesh was chatting with local technicians in an area surrounded by dense vegetation when he felt an insect bite. As it did not seem serious at the time, he continued without seeking immediate medical attention,” the post reads.
The bite initially did not appear serious, and the actor initially ignored the bite and did not seek medical help. However, about six hours later, he developed pain on his right side, which gradually worsened, following which he began feeling unwell. Sharma's blood-sugar levels were also high.
Sharma took a flight to Kolkata despite being unwell. Mid-flight, he got a high fever, became restless, and his condition worsened.
Not out of danger, but the infection has spread rapidly
In a statement, the family has shared that the infection has spread from Sharma's toes up to his knee, with large blisters developing over the affected area. They shared the update on his medical condition, citing Dr Avijit Bhattacharya.
“The infection has spread from his toes up to his knee, with large blisters developing over the affected area. According to Dr Avijit Bhattacharya, it is too early to make any definite assessment. Rajesh remains under close observation and is not yet out of danger,” the statement said.
They added, “Doctors are monitoring him carefully, as there is concern that complications could lead to the formation of a blood clot, which, if it travels to the lungs, could become life-threatening.”
However, at the moment, there is no confirmation on where this incident happened exactly. Prabhas is currently shooting for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi. Rajesh was last seen in Akshay Kumar's Bhooth Bangla and Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam).
