A 40-year-old Salman Khan to romance Alia Bhatt, 20, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Inshallah'?

Ever since it was announced that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning a film with Salman Khan after we last saw them together in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, there has been a buzz around the project.
Titled ‘Inshallah’ the film pairs Salman and Alia Bhatt together for the first time.
When this was announced, many spoke on social media about the age-gap between the two and how they were not sold on the idea. Well now we have details on what the two might be doing in the film.
Fresh reports suggest that Salman will play a 40-year-old man while Alia Bhatt will play a younger actress who is in her 20s. The two will eventually romance in the film but the plot would be very different from what we expect. But isn’t that a given, since it’s a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film!
Salman will reportedly play a businessman while Alia will be an actress in the movie. A Mumbai Mirror report quoted a source as saying, “Salman is a businessman in his mid-40s. The character is reminiscent of his turn in his 1997 romcom Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai. Alia plays a 20-something aspiring actress. All the factors, including age gap, have been taken into consideration. The story will justify the teaming up of two actors, from different generations, on a romantic journey.”
The tabloid further reported that the film’s shoot will begin in September and it might be shot in locations like Haridwar, Rishikesh and Varanasi, apart from the US. “The locations under consideration are Haridwar, Rishikesh and Varanasi,” the source informed, adding that Bhansali and his leads will also fly to the US for a major schedule. “The crew was contemplating on several places, including Europe, but settled on the US after several rounds of recce. Salman and Alia will be there in winters,” the source added.
