Now, a quiz show on President Xi in China

In a first, China's Hunan TV on Sunday broadcast a programme named Studying Xi in the New Era as a quiz show on prime time.

The youth channel which is reportedly the second most watched channel in China will be airing five episodes on Xi's political journey.

The Communist Party of China had amended the constitution to remove the term-limit for President Xi after he was given another term last year. Xi's philosophy has been enshrined in the Chinese constitution making him the only leader after Deng Xiaoping to share the honour.

The quiz is reportedly based on Xi's achievements, the Communist party's philosophy and information on Marxism, Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping. The contestants are required to give a speech on Xi's thoughts during the programme.

The questions in the quiz show is not asked by any quizmaster but through a robot named “2050” who is said to have travelled in time and come back from the future of a “rejuvenated China”.
