Kathmandu, Nepal
In a major move to expand its global presence, Ultraviolette has now officially launched its UV Space Pod Experience Centre in Nepal. The new facility marks the company's success in entering five Indian cities and starting exports to Europe. Ultraviolette wants to create 50 futuristic experience centres across the world and expand its footprint across 12 cities in India by the end of 2024.
In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Design in India, Design for the World,' the INFRA, UV Space Pod, a boutique development module, introduced Ultraviolette's ultrahigh performance electric motorcycle, the F77 MACH 2, to the broader community. Sealed off from the outside world as a 3S center, this facility is 800 square feet in size and provides a comprehensive sales, service, and spare part facility that is conveniently located for our customers.
Space Pod is a digitally equipped motorcycle centre with advanced digital diagnostic tools and direct technical support from Ultraviolette’s Bengaluru headquarters, giving Nepal’s motorcycling enthusiasts a fully immersive experience. The MACH 2 F77 features an unrivalled 10.3 kWh SRB7 Lithium-ion battery with a category leading 800,000km battery warranty – even surpassing the benchmarks from Tesla.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, emphasized the significance of the launch: “The vibrant motorcycling community and incredible landcapes of Nepal play to perfection as the setting for this milestone.” “This Space Pod reinforces our commitment to sustainable mobility and to improve the motorcyclist experience.”
The Kathmandu facility is part of the firm’s aggressive growth strategy, following successful openings in Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Hyderabad. Investments in electric vehicles are increasingly attracting global and domestic stakeholder interest in Nepal.
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-Founder, highlighted the potential in Nepal: “With this level of enthusiasm for motorcycling there’s no better place to launch our latest UV Space Pod.” We go beyond just opening up a facility; it is our advocacy to contribute to building the electric vehicle ecosystem and make a stronger commitment towards the green mobility initiatives of Nepal.”
Located in Narayanchaur, Naxal, Kathmandu, the new Space Pod now offers the F77 MACH 2 for purchase and test rides. This innovative motorcycle has not only set new industry standards but has also been recognized as the Most Awarded Electric Motorcycle of the 2024 Season, lauded for its cutting-edge technology and exceptional performance.
