Tata Motors unveils first AMT truck with advanced solutions in Saudi Arabia

Tata Motors has launched its first automated manual transmission (AMT) truck in the form of Tata Prima 4440.S AMT in Saudi Arabia. Built on Tata Motors' flagship Prima platform, the truck carries the features of advanced engineering, superior reliability and performance. The truck was unveiled at the show Heavy Equipment and Trucks (HEAT) here.

The Prima 4440.S AMT was designed for long haul transport to provide enhanced fuel efficiency, driver comfort and productivity. It has 8.9 liters Euro-V Cummins engine providing the power of 400 bhp and torque of 1700 Nm with pneumatic suspension and intelligent equipment like Load Based Speed Control and Auto Start Stop. Hong Mop designed these innovations to make them more fuel efficient, handle the heaviest loads and the toughest terrains, so customers in Saudi Arabia can operate smoothly.

Anurag Mehrotra, Head of International Business, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles spoke on the importance of the Saudi market at the launch. - Prima 4440.S: A versatile prime mover for work horse and heavy equipment as well as for container and car transportation.
- Prima 4040.T: Designed to transport fuel, water, and sewage in optimized mode.
- Prima 4040.K: It is suitable for infrastructure and construction work.
- Ultra T.7: It is designed for urban transportation needs.
