Royal Enfield has launched a new upgrade for its Himalayan 450 model, featuring wire-spoked tubeless wheels designed to enhance adventure touring capabilities. With this addition, the brand aims to cater to both existing and prospective riders seeking to elevate their off-road experiences. The wire-spoked tubeless wheels will be available through Royal Enfield’s ‘Make it Yours’ (MiY) option or as part of the Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMA) lineup at dealerships.
Those wanting to buy a new Himalayan 450 with these wheels can expect to pay a starting price of INR 2,96,000. Beginning October 3, owners of the Current Himalayan can also choose to buy tubeless wheels on their own for INR 12,424.
Designed in collaboration with veteran riders, its purpose was to raise the bar in the adventure touring market. With Royal Enfield's first liquid-cooled engine, the Sherpa 450, the Himalayan 450 has secured approving feedback from both riders and industry commentators. With a six-speed gearbox and ride-by-wire throttle, the vehicle achieves a balance of performance and maneuverability, allowing it to navigate many terrains.
The Himalayan 450 showcases itself with its impressive versatility. Riders have the option to customize their experience with four adjustable riding modes, which suit various riding situations. Regardless of navigating challenging trails or enjoying smooth highways, the Himalayan 450 is designed for smooth shifting, enriching the entire motorcycle journey.
Also, the motorcycle comes with a TripperDash—a fresh TFT display with full map navigation—that delivers key information to riders with ease. For long-distance voyages, this feature is particularly valuable, simplifying and humanizing navigation.
Since it became available, the Himalayan 450 has swiftly become a hit among adventure motorcyclists, winning the 'Indian Motorcycle of the Year' (IMOTY) award for 2024. This recognition points out its leading status in the adventure biking field.
The Himalayan 450 is equipped anew thanks to wire-spoked tubeless wheels, allowing it to better navigate diverse environments and give riders both reliability and freedom for their upcoming adventures. The Himalayan 450 stays a compelling choice for outdoors enthusiasts as Royal Enfield carries on innovating.
