Ukraine will send a team to the US next week to begin further negotiations on a new draft of the rare earth minerals deal that would give the US access to Ukraine's mineral resources, Economy Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said, according to a report.
&ldquo;The new draft agreement from the U.S. shows that the intention to create a fund or jointly invest remains,&rdquo; Svyrydenko told the Associated Press, during a trip to northern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation will include representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Foreign Affairs, Justice and Finance.&nbsp;
Svyrydenko said, "What we have now is a document that reflects the position of the U.S. Treasury legal team. This is not a final version, it&rsquo;s not a joint position.&rdquo;

<h2>What is there in the new draft?</h2>
The new document presents a new US proposal that goes beyond a previous framework agreed upon in February.&nbsp;
The new draft includes not only rare-earth minerals but gas and oil too.&nbsp;
However, the new draft got leaked, following which, Zelensky ordered a formal investigation into the leak of a recent US proposal concerning profits from Ukraine&rsquo;s energy and mineral assets.&nbsp;
The leak comes as tensions grow between Kyiv and the Trump administration over the conditions of a proposed agreement involving critical energy and mineral resources.

Miller was arrested after deputies discovered a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine in his vehicle near the Trump rally. He was also said to be carrying fake press passes and identification documents, claims he completely denies.
Despite the serious nature of the initial reports, Miller was never charged with attempting to kill Trump. He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of possessing loaded firearms and insists one charge will be dropped because the shotgun wasn&rsquo;t loaded.

Sarah Boardman, the British artist who painted the Trump portrait, told Sky News that she felt her &ldquo;intentions, integrity, and abilities&rdquo; had been &ldquo;called into question&rdquo; when the president criticised the oil painting.

Nearly two weeks after Trump&rsquo;s remarks, Boardman has broken her silence, saying that her business has been detrimentally impacted.
&ldquo;President Trump is entitled to comment freely, as we all are, but the additional allegations that I &lsquo;purposefully distorted&rsquo; the portrait, and that I &lsquo;must have lost my talent as I got older&rsquo; are now directly and negatively impacting my business of over 41 years which now is in danger of not recovering,&rdquo; she said.

<h2>How did they land up in jail?</h2>
The British couple had been running projects in Afghanistan schools for 18 years and decided to stay in the country after the Taliban seized power in 2021.
At the start of February, they were detained when they travelled to their home in Bamiyan province in a small plane rented by their Chinese-American friend, Faye Hall.&nbsp;
Hall was also detained, but she was released last weekend after the Trump administration lifted bounties worth $10m from the heads of senior Taliban figures.&nbsp;
When Reynolds was detained, he said that he was initially told the plane lacked proper landing permission and they would be released.&nbsp;
Instead, their phones were confiscated and they were transferred to the interior ministry in Kabul, where the couple were separated and then locked up in Pul-e-Charki prison.&nbsp;
Reynolds further complained that the Taliban told him that they had confiscated 59 books from their home that was "against Islam". He was asked why they had them. "I asked, &lsquo;Can you tell me any part of those books which is against Islam?&rsquo; &rdquo; he said. &ldquo;No one has been able to, so I think it&rsquo;s an outrage.&nbsp;
&ldquo;These things are an utter disgrace and shame. The Taliban have made a mistake and need to face up to it," he added.&nbsp;
