"So that's why it's overinclusive to make such a generalisation."

They found that if the world heats up at the worst rate, then the North Pole could shift towards the west by more than 89 feet by 2100. However, if things don't get as bad, even then the pole could shift by as much as 39 feet, as compared to its location in 1900.
"This effect is somewhat surpassing the effect of glacial isostatic adjustment, which is the effect of solid Earth rebound after the termination of the last ice age," study co-author Mostafa Kiani Shahvandi, told Live Science. Kiani is an Earth scientist at the University of Vienna.
This means that "land at the surface of the crust sank under the weight of ice age glaciers and rose when they melted". This changes the distribution of weight in Earth's crust, resulting in the shifting of the poles. "This means that what humans have done has somewhat shifted the pole more than the effect of ice ages," Kiani Shahvandi said.
Earth's rotation axis is used in part to map a spacecraft's location, and the shift in the poles will affect satellites and spacecraft navigation, the researchers said.

While others believe that the letter was meant to be circulated among the task force members rather than sent to Harvard.&nbsp;

Maria reportedly was dragged down as deep as eight metres. Her photographer, Louis Pagakis, tried to pull her out, but the dress got too heavy and he was unable to save her.
Pagakis told CTV News, "She had her wedding dress on and she said, 'Take some pictures of me while I swim a little bit in the lake'. She went in, and her dress got heavy. I tried everything I could to save her."
"I jumped in, I was screaming and yelling, we tried our best."
He recalled her final words: "I can't anymore, it's too heavy."
The heartbroken family requested that authorities implement stringent rules at the site to avoid similar future tragedies.
Another photographer recalled how his client almost met a similar fate at the waterfall. Mario Michaud told CTV Montreal that his client was also in the water for a photoshoot and was pulled down. Luckily, she was saved.&nbsp;

Speaking to&nbsp;Dawn.com, South Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Syed Asad Raza said that the deceased went to the site of the incident when he learned about TLP supporters storming the Ahmadiyya Hall in Saddar. "We have decided to lodge a murder case against the TLP leaders and workers. We are waiting for relatives to lodge the first information report (FIR). If they do not register the case, then the FIR will be registered on behalf of the state against the TLP workers...No one will be spared," the DIG said.
Raza also told Dawn.com that the police retrieved CCTV footage of the incident, which showed that the victim was filming the TLP protesters from behind the community hall with his cell phone when someone from the mob identified him.
"They initially beat him. When he fell to the ground, the mob began beating him more severely, leading to his death," he said, adding that the deceased was an active member of the Ahmadi community.

The Ahmadiyya community is considered heretics by the Pakistani government. The Pakistani administration has made it illegal to call them Muslims and for them to use Islamic symbols. The total number of passengers on board the doomed vessel was not known but Lokumu said it was in the "hundreds".
Some survivors were rescued and admitted to hospital, Lokondo said.
