Delta Air Lines has found a way to beat Donald Trump's tariffs. The airline is taking delivery of a new Airbus A350 aircraft this week, manufactured in Europe. However, instead of flying it directly to the US, it is taking it from the factory in Toulouse to Tokyo, Japan. Reportedly, the plan is to keep it flying internationally without landing in the US. This way, it won't remain new, and Delta won't have to pay tariffs.&nbsp;
The Airbus with tail number N528DN, is scheduled to operate flight DAL 9936 on Wednesday from Toulouse at 11:10 am CEST (5:10 am ET) and reach Tokyo on Thursday, 1 May, at 9:50 am (12:20 am ET). What happens next with the plane is not known, although Delta might keep it flying internationally. It might land in the US and then leave, and hence would not qualify as "imported".

"We are working very closely with Airbus, which is the only aircraft manufacturer we&rsquo;ve got deliveries coming from for the balance of this year. "The incident has resulted in 22 deaths and three injuries," it added.
President Xi Jinping said that the blaze had caused "significant casualties" and that the lessons from it were "profoundly serious", CCTV said.
Xi called for "every effort to treat the injured, properly handle the aftermath for the deceased and provide support to their families, swiftly determine the cause of the fire, and pursue accountability in accordance with the law," the report added.
Footage shared online and verified by AFP showed the inferno engulfing the two-storey restaurant and smoke billowing skyward.
Other authenticated videos published on Douyin, China's version of TikTok, showed paramedics wheeling one victim on a stretcher into an ambulance and several firefighters battling the flames with hoses.
Another video from the social media platform shot from above the scene showed more than a dozen fire engines parked outside the restaurant.

One woman working at a nearby restaurant said she hadn't been outside all day and only learnt of the incident when she read news articles about the fire.
"We weren't aware of it and continued on normally," she told AFP over the phone.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said she had "no idea" what caused the fire but said she heard sirens and there were still police outside of her restaurant.
"It definitely was very tragic," she added.
Deadly fires are relatively common in China due to lax building codes and an often slipshod approach to workplace safety.
The country has seen a spate of such deadly incidents in recent months.
This month, 20 people died in a fire at a nursing home in northern China's Hebei province.
And in January, a blaze at a vegetable market in Zhangjiakou city, northwest of Beijing, killed eight people and injured 15.
A month before that, nine people died in a fire at a construction site in eastern China's Rongcheng city.

New Democratic Party (NDP) chief Jagmeet Singh, the Canadian politician, who is also a know pro-Khalistan figure, conceded his defeat in the 2025 Canadian federal election and announced that he will step down from the party position as soon as an interim leader is appointed.
Support for Singh's party collapsed in the elections and he lost his seat in the House of Commons, the one that he has held since the year 2019.
His Burnaby Central seat in British Columbia was affected by redistribution before the election. The NDP also fell short of securing the 12 seats required to maintain its official party status.
Taking to the stage at his campaign headquarters in Burnaby on Monday night (Apr 28), Sing thanked his supporters and family and congratulated Mark Carney on his victory.&nbsp;
As he spoke about his love for the NDP, he choked back his tears multiple times during his concession speech.
"Thank you and all of you in this room, you guys poured your heart into this. Thank you so much for everything you've done. You're amazing," Singh said.&nbsp;

New Democratic Party (NDP) chief Jagmeet Singh, the Canadian politician, who is also a know pro-Khalistan figure, on Monday (Apr 29), announced that he will step down after losing the 2025 Canadian federal election.
Support for Singh's party collapsed in the elections and he lost his seat in the House of Commons, the one that he has held since the year 2019.
His Burnaby Central seat in British Columbia was affected by redistribution before the election. The NDP also fell short of securing the 12 seats required to maintain its official party status.

Taking to his official X account, Singh said that he was "disappointed" that his party could not win more seats.
"It's been the honour of my life to lead the NDP and to represent the people of Burnaby Central. Congratulations to Prime Minister Carney, and to all the other leaders on a hard-fought campaign," he wrote in a post on X.&nbsp;

"I know this night is disappointing for New Democrats. I am disappointed that we could not win more seats. But I am not disappointed in our movement. I am hopeful for our Party. I know that we will always choose hope over fear," he added.
Singh has been a vocal pro-Khalistan supporter and has often advocated for Khalistan activists in Canada.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and his Liberal Party are projected to retain power, winning enough seats in the election to form the government.
Carney took over as the Canadian leader after former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's party lost faith in him towards the end of his term.
According to an IPSOS poll conducted by Global News, the Liberal party secured a lead, holding a four-point lead in Monday's poll.
Carney has publicly advocated for better ties with India, marking a shift from Trudeau's tenure, which was strained due to his claims of Indian government involvement in the killing of NIA-designated terrorist, Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
