As Americans get busy voting on the election day to choose their next president, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris are set to watch the election night at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida and Howard Universityin Washington D.C.respectively.
Donald Trump will host an election night watch party at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. He will be watching results there with his supporters, according to USA Today, citing his media advisory.
Trump is expected to vote for himself in Palm Beach on Tuesday, the Palm Beach Daily News, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported.
He will be monitoring the neck-to-neck race with Kamala Harris on election night from a location that will gather good media attention.
West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James said, “We expect hundreds, if not thousands, of media members and visitors to descend on the city because of election night."
Kamala Harris has planned to host the election night event at Howard University in Washington, DC, her alma mater.
Howard, known as the "Black Harvard", holds a central place in Harris's life story. Since 1986, when she graduated, Harris has frequently visited the University at key moments.
"Howard University is one of the most important aspects of my life," Harris said in 2019 while running in the Democratic primary. " It is where I first ran for my first elected office,” she added as a student council representative.
The students at the University in Washington, DC, are anticipating an historic night today (Tuesday).
In August, Harris used Howard University's amphitheatre to prepare for her one debate with Trump. There, she reminded the students that, "someday, you might be running for president of the United States.”
