The Labour Party in the UK, under the leadership of Keir Starmer, has achieved a landslide victory against the Conservative Party led by Rishi Sunak.
In the 2024 general elections, a total of 107 British-Indian candidates contested for the 680 seats in the House of Commons. In the previous tenure, there were a total of 15 Indian-origin MPs. This number is expected to rise in the current term.
The Labour Party is making constant efforts to rebuild its relationship with the Indian community. They have given more tickets to Indian-origin candidates, in an attempt to expand their reach. The Labour Party plans to adjust its foreign policy to address the issue of British-Indians.

These are a few British Indian candidates who have secured a win in the current tenure:
Rishi Sunak
The former prime minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak has retained his seat in Richmond and Northallerton. However, Mr Sunak's Conservative Party conceded defeat during the 2024 UK general elections. "The Labour Party has won this general election. The British people have delivered a sobering verdict tonight, there is much to learn and reflect on." Rishi Sunak said.
Kanishka Narayan
Kanishka Narayan became Wales' first MP from a minority ethnic background after defeating Alun Cairns. Narayan studied at Oxford, followed by Stanford before he became a civil servant.

Shivani Raja
Shivani Raja has won the seat from Leicester East. She was born in Leicester and graduated from De Montfort University (DMU).
Gagan Mohindra
Gagan Mohindra belongs to a Hindu-Punjabi family. He has been re-elected from South West Hertfordshire. Mohindra is from the Conservative party and secured 16,458 votes in total.
Suella Braverman
Suella Braverman is a British-Indian and has secured a seat in the House of Commons from Fareham and Waterlooville.

Navendu Mishra
Navendu Mishra is a member of the Labour Party and has secured a seat in the parliament. He was elected as a member of the parliament from Stockport during the 2019 general elections as well.
Satvir Kaur
A member of the Labour Party, Satvir Kaur is a British Indian. She has won from the Southhampton Test constituency with a margin of 15,945 votes.
