In a shocking assassination attempt,Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump was shot atduring his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday (Jul13) where the bullet grazed his right ear. The incident took place four months before the US presidential elections, which are scheduled to take place inNovember 2024.
While the shooting attempt shook the whole world, people took to social media and shared memes depicting various imaginary scenarios.

This meme shared by a user on X wascaptioned, "You only got him in the ear", with an edited image of Trump's rivals Hillary Clinton and current US President Joe Biden hiding behind and holding a gun, implying they had missed the shot.
Another one, featuring his rival, was uploaded on X with the caption, "Hillary just made a statement." The image shows a shocked face of Hillary with the text, "What do you mean they missed?"
