In a shocking assassination attempt, Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump was shot at during his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday (Jul 13) where the bullet grazed his right ear. The incident took place four months before the US presidential elections, which are scheduled to take place in November 2024.

While the shooting attempt shook the whole world, people took to social media and shared memes depicting various imaginary scenarios.

This meme shared by a user on X was captioned, "You only got him in the ear", with an edited image of Trump's rivals Hillary Clinton and current US President Joe Biden hiding behind and holding a gun, implying they had missed the shot.

Another one, featuring his rival, was uploaded on X with the caption, "Hillary just made a statement." The image shows a shocked face of Hillary with the text, "What do you mean they missed?"

"We've seen Neo dodging bullets in The Matrix movie. Now let's see Trump doing the same," in the meme shared on social media. A user commented: "He didn't dodge anything... he stood there," and said, "What? That all you got?"

All his rivals in one image? One meme featured Hillary, Biden, and former President Obama sharing gossip about the incident over the phone.

People are talking about Trump raising his fist right after he was shot and praising his patriotism. This one shows Trump with red, glowing eyes with the text, "YOU MISSED".

While these memes have surfaced on social media, people are reacting in the comments about the incident, praising Trump.
