
George Clooney will be making his comeback to television after almost two decades.
Marking his return to TV, Clooney recently signed to direct and film a six-episodeseries titled "Catch-22".
According to a popular US-based celebrity news website, Clooney willdirect, star in and executive produce the series, which is an adaptation of the book by Joseph Heller.
The original book of the same name, Catch-22, is a satirical novel set in World War II which follows the life of Captain John Yossarian, who is trying to fulfil his duties so he can leave the US Air Force.
In the television series, Clooney will play Colonel Cathcart, the story’s main antagonist.
The serieswill be available to stream on Hulu, a US streaming service responsible for award-winning "The Handmaid’s Tale".
The handsome actor was last seen on TV playing a fictional characterDr Douglas Ross in "ER", a TV series that first aired in 1994.
George Clooney recently made news when he and wife Amal Clooney welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander in summer 2017.
