The death toll due to Baltimore Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse has risen to five after a body was recovered on Wednesday (May 1). The authorities identified the body as that ofMiguel Angel Luna Gonzalez, 49, of Glen Burnie, Maryland.

According to a report in the ABC News, Unified Command salvage teams said its teams had earlier found one of the construction vehicles reported missing when the bridge collapsed in March and notified the Maryland Department of State Police.

The Maryland Transportation Authority Police and the FBI recovered Gonzalez's body in a red truck, the report added.

"We remain dedicated to the ongoing recovery operations while knowing behind each person lost in this tragedy lies a loving family," Colonel Roland L. Butler, Jr., Superintendent of the Maryland Department of State Police, said in a statement. "Along with our local, state and federal partners, we ask that everyone extend their deepest sympathies and support to the families during this difficult time."

Previously, the bodies of Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 35, Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, 26, and Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval, 38, were recovered by the authorities. The authorities have not released the name of the fourth victim, whose body was recovered last month.

At the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, authorities now plan to remove the grounded Dali container ship within the next 10 days, Associated Press reported amid attempts to allowmore maritime traffic to resume through Baltimore’s port.

The ship lost power and crashed into one of the bridge’s supporting columnson March 26.The ship has been stationary since then.

Those who died were members of a roadwork crew who plunged to their deaths in the bridge collapse.
