Several Thousand ISIS-Linked People Leave Syria's Al-Hol Camp
Thousands of people linked to ISIS have left Syria’s notorious al‑Hol camp in recent weeks as security collapsed following the withdrawal of Kurdish fighters and the takeover by Syrian government forces. U.S. intelligence estimates that between 15,000 and 20,000 individuals fled the facility, which once housed tens of thousands of families of Islamist militants. The mass departures have raised regional security concerns, as many escaped amid chaotic conditions.
