Scientists at the international rice research are experimenting with climate-resistant rice in the Philippines. Scientists are extracting genes of the desirable traits from rice grains and combining them into other varieties of rice to make a more favourable crop. These are designed to survive adverse climate conditions, including both floods and droughts. Check out our report.
