It was in rough shape, so I really didn't have any hopes of getting anything off of it, I was just planning to throw it away, and then curiosity got the best of me, and I had to see what was on it,"&nbsp;Greiner was quoted as saying by local media reports.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Greiner stated that he recovered photos of a&nbsp;tubing trip, a wedding, and a bachelorette party on the card. Intrigued that it could be the memories of a person, he posted the photos&nbsp;in a Colorado Facebook group on March 15.</p>

<p>The revelation came when the 75-year-old computer scientist dwelled upon genetics, nanotechnology, robotics and more in a YouTube video posted by channel Adagio.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kurzweil repeated a claim on humanity achieving immortality he made in his 2005 book 'The Singularity Is Near', citing advancements in nanotechnology enabling humans to live forever.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An Albanian man living in UK's Liverpool has gone viral on social media platforms after he was pictured giving the slip to law enforcement officers. 32-year-old Etmond Lika had been accused of growing cannabis in his home. When officers reached his place to arrest him, Lika climbed through the skylight and hid on the roof of the property with a police officer peering outside unaware.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prosecutor Christopher Hopkins informed that a locksmith was called to change the front door lock at an address at Stanley Road, Kirkdale in February when he noticed the cannabis installations. Lika, who had crossed the English Channel in a small boat last year was offered £100 a day to live at the 'cannabis growing' property.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After the locksmith got suspicious, he informed the police. Later in the afternoon, the police converged on the property and began a thorough search operation. The police soon found out that in at least six rooms, over 200 plants of cannabis were being grown, in what Hopkins termed a 'sophisticated operation'.<br />

<p>A Maryland appeals court reinstated the murder conviction of Adnan Syed on Tuesday. He was the subject of the podcast <em>Serial</em>. A court in Baltimore vacated his conviction in September 2022 after he spent 22 years in prison.</p>

<p>Adnan Syed, 41, was sentenced to 30 years in prison in February 2000 for murdering his high school girlfriend.</p>

<p>However, the new court decision does not mean Syed has to return to jail immediately, as the judge has issued a 60-day stay of its ruling to give both sides times to consider the next steps.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What did Adnan Syed do?</strong></h2>

<p>In 1999, Adnan Syed was a 17-year-old high school senior in Baltimore. Hae Min Lee, his ex-girlfriend, was found dead in Leakin Park four weeks after she went missing. Later, Adnan was charged with first-degree murder and sent to jail for 30 years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The cops found Lee's body on February 6 and suspected Adnan for the murder. Later, one of his friends confessed to helping him bury Lee's body. The police arrested Adnan Syed for the murder of Hae Min Lee on February 28.</p>

<p>The court approved a new trial for Adnan based on a shred of new evidence presented in Sarah Koenig's podcast 'Serial.' Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Martin Welch removed Adnan's conviction in 2016. However, the bench denied his request for bail. Later, the Maryland Court of Appeals flipped the decision and maintained Adnan's conviction.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In September 2022, Adnan Syed walked out after spending 22 years in prison. The Baltimore City Circuit Court, headed by Judge Melissa M. Phinn, granted Adnan Syed's release. However, the condition remained that he must be on GPS monitoring. The bench also gave the state prosecutors a 30-day window to file a petition to try him again.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>About 'Serial'</strong></h2>

<p>A local Baltimore lawyer and Syed's family friend, Rabia Chaudry, contacted veteran journalist Sarah Koenig, known for her radio show 'This American Life.' They requested an independent investigation of Hae Min Lee's murder. Sarah agreed and started to work on <em>Serial</em> in 2013.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They released the first season between October 3 and December 18, 2014. The show impacted Adnan Syed's case and gave him a new trial in 2015.&nbsp;</p>

The cops found Lee's body on February 6 and suspected Adnan for the murder. Later, one of his friends confessed to helping him bury Lee's body. The police arrested Adnan Syed for the murder of Hae Min Lee on February 28. The court approved a new trial for Adnan based on a shred of new evidence presented in Sarah Koenig's podcast 'Serial.' Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Martin Welch removed Adnan's conviction in 2016. However, the bench denied his request for bail. Later, the Maryland Court of Appeals flipped the decision and maintained Adnan's conviction. In September 2022, Adnan Syed walked out after spending 22 years in prison. The Baltimore City Circuit Court, headed by Judge Melissa M. Phinn, granted Adnan Syed's release. However, the condition remained that he must be on GPS monitoring. The bench also gave the state prosecutors a 30-day window to file a petition to try him again. About 'Serial' A local Baltimore lawyer and Syed's family friend, Rabia Chaudry, contacted veteran journalist Sarah Koenig, known for her radio show 'This American Life.' They requested an independent investigation of Hae Min Lee's murder. Sarah agreed and started to work on Serial in 2013. They released the first season between October 3 and December 18, 2014. The show impacted Adnan Syed's case and gave him a new trial in 2015.

<p>The animal cells are cultured to get meat, which is reportedly tastier than the conventional meat.&nbsp;The company Vow has already made a significant progress by figuring out that there is a potential of getting meat from 50 species, which includes alpaca, buffalo, crocodile, kangaroo, peacocks&nbsp; and different types of fish.</p>

<p>For the meat, Vow joined hands with Professor Ernst Wolvetang of the Australian Institute for Bioengineering at the University of Queensland. The first step of the process was to create the mammoth muscle protein.</p>

<p>After that, to add flavour to the meat, the team at Vow took the DNA sequence for mammoth myoglobin. This is a key muscle protein which makes the meat tasty before people can devour it. Elephant DNA is also used and this&nbsp;sequence was placed in myoblast stem cells from a sheep.</p>

<p>These cells then got replicated to grow to 20 billion cells. These are then used to grow the mammoth meat. Vow</p>

<p>CEO George Peppou said,&nbsp;“We have a behaviour change problem when it comes to meat consumption. The goal is to transition a few billion meat eaters away from eating [conventional] animal protein to eating things that can be produced in electrified systems.</p>

<p>“And we believe the best way to do that is to invent meat. We look for cells that are easy to grow, really tasty and nutritious, and then mix and match those cells to create really tasty meat.”</p>

<p>Tim Noakesmith, who co-founded Vow, said, “We chose the woolly mammoth because it’s a symbol of diversity loss and a symbol of climate change.”</p>

<p>The creature is thought to have been driven to extinction by hunting by humans and the warming of the world after the last Ice Age.</p>

Back to Ice Age? Meat taste of extinct mammoth brought back without animal slaughter

<p>Italy's right-wing&nbsp;government of Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday introduced legislation banning the use and sale of lab-grown food and animal products (effectively all synthetic food items).&nbsp;The move is aimed at safeguarding the European country's agri-food heritage, according to the government ministers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The bill will now be sent to parliament where it will have to be adopted within two months if it is to come into force. Once implemented, the law will impose a blanket ban following which the Italian food industry will not be allowed to produce food or feed&nbsp;"from cell cultures or tissues derived from vertebrate animals", according to a Reuters report.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A hefty fine of $65,022 (60,000 euros) has also been placed in the fine print of the legislation.&nbsp;</p>

In the video, Clarke predicted that ''the most intelligent inhabitants of the future world won't be men or monkeys, they will be machines. They will start to think and eventually, they will completely outthink their makers. We are now at the beginning of inorganic or mechanical evolution which will be thousands of times swifter".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Referring to that era, he said that "the present-day electronic brains are complete morons but this might not be true in another generation".&nbsp;</p>

The first man, using a shovel manages to keep the mouth of the mine open while a trapped miner makes his way out with the onlookers cheering wildly.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As soon as the first miner comes out, the other person leaps and begins dredging with his hands to ensure that the others can make it out in time. Soon another one appears, and then another and astonishingly nine men make it out alive and well within the next two minutes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Jason will “provide him with structure, and give him an outlet for all that Frenchie energy,” wrote the shelter. “He dedicates his life to dogs and that’s what makes him a perfect match for Ralphie.”</p>

<p>Meet Leena Rafaq, an 11-year-old girl who has developed an AI application to detect eye diseases and other conditions through a unique scanning method using an iPhone. Rafaq named the application "Ogler EyeScan" and began developing&nbsp;it when she was&nbsp;10. Taking to LinkedIn, Rafaq shared a video on her account, explaining how the application works along with a video demonstration. In her video, she said that her application can analyse various parameters like colour and light intensity, distance and look-up points to locate eyes within the range of the frame using advanced computer and machine learning.</p>

<p>We all know artificial intelligence is already impacting our lives virtually. It has brought both some good things and some questionable things. As per experts, it soon will create a much bigger impact in the coming decade.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In her post, Leena added that the application also identifies any light burst issues and if the eyes are positioned exactly inside the scanner frame, NDTV reported.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She said, "This App was developed natively with SwiftUI without any third-party libraries or packages, and it took me six months of research and development to bring this innovative app to life."</p>

<p>"I learned more about different eye conditions, computer vision, algorithms, machine learning models, and advanced levels of Apple iOS development, including sensors data, AR, CreateML, CoreML, and more."</p>

<p>Responding to her innovation, many users congratulated Leena for her achievement at such a young age.</p>

Meet Leena Rafaq, an 11-year-old girl who has developed an AI application to detect eye diseases and other conditions through a unique scanning method using an iPhone. Rafaq named the application "Ogler EyeScan" and began developing it when she was 10. Taking to LinkedIn, Rafaq shared a video on her account, explaining how the application works along with a video demonstration. In her video, she said that her application can analyse various parameters like colour and light intensity, distance and look-up points to locate eyes within the range of the frame using advanced computer and machine learning. As per experts, it soon will create a much bigger impact in the coming decade. In her post, Leena added that the application also identifies any light burst issues and if the eyes are positioned exactly inside the scanner frame, NDTV reported. × She said "Olger" can identify conditions like Arcus, Malenoma, Pterygium and even Cataracts with help of trained models. Revealing more details about her innovation, Leena said that her app is currently under review in Apple's app store and is hopeful that it will be approved soon. The Olger EyeScan is only supported in iPhone 10 and above with iOS 16+. She said, "This App was developed natively with SwiftUI without any third-party libraries or packages, and it took me six months of research and development to bring this innovative app to life." "I learned more about different eye conditions, computer vision, algorithms, machine learning models, and advanced levels of Apple iOS development, including sensors data, AR, CreateML, CoreML, and more."
