If reports are to be believed, California might witness 'Gold Rush 2.0' in the coming months as locals have found pieces of gold that were unearthed by natural events.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nearly 175 years after the first gold rush, amateur miners are trekking towards the western slope of the Sierra Nevada - an area also referred to as the 'Gold Country'. According to historians, up until now, only 10 to 15 per cent of California's gold has been discovered and the miners are hoping that they might get their hands on the remaining 85 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After the wildfires of last year loosened the soil, the torrential winter rainfall blasted millions of gallons of water through the mountain streams and rivers. The loose soil helped push the water downstream, carrying gold deposits as people started calling it 'flood gold'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Anytime you can stand next to a river, and you hear the boulders tumbling, you know the gold is moving, too,” Jim Eakin, owner of a local firewood business was quoted as saying by&nbsp;<em>The New York Times.&nbsp;</em></p>

<p>“There was $50,000 of gold up at that table. We’ve had more gold in the last two meetings than I’ve seen in the last two years," said the regular.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Albert Fausel, a third-generation owner of a Hardware store in Placerville (a 15-minute drive from the valley) is now selling metal detectors to amateur miners looking to make a fortune. Using a metal detector has been the go-to method of the majority of gold enthusiasts to find the precious metal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>4. Temporary skilled visa holders, who had been denied the opportunity to apply for permanent residency, will be able to do that by the end of this year.</p>

<p>In September, Australia raised its intake of permanent migrants to 195,000 up by 350,000, as businesses faced staff shortages. From July 1, the government even said that it would raise the migrant wage threshold of temporary skilled workers to A$ 70,000 from A$ 53,900. This was the first big change in wages since 2013.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Research in China found that frequent consumption of fried food items, especially fried potatoes, is linked with a high risk of depression and even a higher risk of anxiety.&nbsp;</p>

<p>People frequently consuming fried food items such as French fries were 12 per cent more likely to develop anxiety-related issues than the ones who do not consume such food items. As for depression, the researchers found 7 per cent higher risk of depression than in people who did not eat fried foods.</p>

<p>An elementary school in the US state of Vermont has issued a circular stating it will no longer be using words such as 'male', 'boy', 'girl' and&nbsp;'female' while teaching fifth-grade students about human reproductive systems and puberty.</p>

<p>Sara Jablonski, principal of the Founders Memorial School sent a letter to parents last week where she announced the removal of the said words and adopting a 'gender-inclusive' language.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In an effort to align our curriculum with our equity policy, teachers will be using gender-inclusive language throughout this unit. With any differences, we strive to use “person-first” language as the best practice," read the note to parents.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We will be using the following language with students:&nbsp;Person who produces sperm in place of boy, male, and assigned male at birth/&nbsp;Person who produces eggs in place of girl, female and assigned female at birth," it added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The letter was sent to the parents’ rights group Parents Defending Education (PDE) whose Director Erika Sanzi shared it on Twitter, thereby attracting attention from the netizens.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Speaking about anyone in this way is dehumanising in any context but these new language rules specifically apply to a health unit for 5th graders about puberty and reproduction," a spokesperson of PDE was quoted as saying by Fox Digital.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“It is clear that the school has decided to be derelict in their duty to educate students in the name of equity. If anyone is wondering what it looks like when an elementary school has been captured by gender ideology, this is it.”</p>

<p>"An allegedly inebriated passenger relieved himself on another passenger. American Airlines has recorded the statements of co-passengers and handed over the passenger to law enforcement agencies. An FIR has been lodged," said a senior DGCA official as per a TOI report.</p>

<p>While the airline in its complaint to the local police and aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) alleged that a drunken passenger had urinated over a co-traveller, the Delhi Police said that statements from co-passengers failed to substantiate the allegations.</p>

<p>"The staff did not share who the accused urinated over or where did he do so in the aircraft. Passengers sitting near him also submitted in writing that they were not urinated over," said a senior Delhi police officer, as reported by the Hindu.</p>

<p>In a press statement, American Airlines said that a passenger was handed over to law enforcement following a "disruption on board". Citing an anonymous DGCA official, the Hindu also reported that the airline will be holding a further investigation into the matter as per internal procedures.</p>

<p>Over the past few months, multiple incidents of drunk passengers peeing or urinating on their fellow passengers have come to light. Just last month, a 20-year-old Delhi student was accused of urinating on a business class passenger on another American Airlines flight from New York to Delhi.</p>

<p>Before that, in November and December of last year, similar incidents were reported on Air India flights to India. In December, on an Air India-102 flight from New York to Delhi, a male flyer relieved himself on a female passenger. In December, a man on an Air India-142 flight from Paris to Delhi urinated on a vacant seat and the blanket of a fellow passenger.</p>

<p>A man in the United States has won the lottery - not once, not twice... but three times. The 52-year-old man, whose identity has not been revealed, won $50,000 playing Pick 5 for the third time within a year. Media reports mentioned that he even used the same numbers as he put a $1 straight bet on the number - 48548.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As quoted by media reports, the Charles County man told the Maryland Lottery on Wednesday that "it hit last year and it hit again". He mentioned that his wife suggested playing the number and they kept winning with it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A news release from the Maryland Lottery stated that the man has won his third $50,000 lottery prize in 11 months. Previously, he won $100,000 on two tickets he bought on a May 18, 2022, midday drawing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>People have nicknamed him "Big Winner" because of the lottery wins and he further added that he thinks most lottery winners "erroneously stop playing because they believe they won't be able to win more than once".&nbsp;</p>

<p>He said: "I play the Lottery all the time. You never know. You can't win if you are not in it."&nbsp;</p>

Good fortune: US man wins lottery not just once but three times...using the same numbers

<p>A first-class passenger, travelling in Delta Airlines, was arrested after he was accused of forcing himself and kissing a male flight attendant on his neck, reported the New York Post.</p>

<p>The 61-year-old passenger, identified as David Alan Burk, had boarded the flight in Minnesota and was travelling to Alaska to settle an estate which was owned by his dead friend.</p>

<p>Since Burk was a Delta Airlines flight's first-class passenger, he was entitled to drinks before the flight's take-off from Minneapolis.</p>

<p>However, the passenger was informed by the crew member that he ''ran out of time'' to serve him red wine. After the flight took off, a glass of red wine was served to the passenger by the attendant, who was identified as TC.</p>

<p>When the flight attendant came back to collect meal trays from the passenger, Burk reached out to shake hands with TC, as per an affidavit. After 10 minutes, Burk got up for using the restroom and stopped at the galley where the attendant was standing.</p>

<p>He complimented the male flight attendant that he was ''so beautiful' and then asked for a kiss. Replying to the passenger, the attendant said, ''No, thank you”. After which Burk insisted, ''Okay, well on the neck then.”</p>

<p>The passenger then grabbed the flight attendant and planted a kiss on his neck, making TC extremely ''uncomfortable.''</p>

<p>''TC never gave verbal consent or implicit consent to Burk to allow him to touch or kiss TC, or to make him think it was okay to do so,” said the affidavit.</p>

<p>After the shocking incident, the flight attendant stayed at the back of the plane for the remaining six-hour journey. Another attendant later informed TC that a tray, which contained the food for the flight's captain, was damaged by the passenger.</p>

<p>The passenger asked for two glasses of red wine and then became ''wasted'' and fell asleep, according to the affidavit. When the flight landed in Anchorage, Airport Police took Burk into their custody.</p>

<p>During interrogation, the passenger denied getting up for using the toilet, planting a kiss forcefully on the flight attendant's neck and breaking a plate. However, he accepted that he drank ''a lot'' before the flight.</p>

One participant held a portrait of Hitler while two others held 'H' letter-shaped balloons, allegedly referring to the phrase 'Heil Hitler' which is often recited practicing the salute.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Neo-Nazi leader Thomas Sewell who also heads the National Socialist Network was an attendee at the event. He took to his Telegram account and said it was a 'great and eventful' night celebrating Hitler's 134th birthday as the group enjoyed German food and beer.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Despite not breaking any laws and not disturbing a soul, we were set upon by a dozen scum from Victoria Police who were terribly upset we were celebrating this holy day instead of the government approved gay or paedophile holidays,” read the Telegram post.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sewell claimed that the likes of his neo-Nazi friends were being persecuted by civil society and that Hitler's truth would soon be out.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Being confronted by systemic violence while our families and babies were present we were forced to eat our Hitler cake while being escorted from the shopping centre under threat of political violence," he wrote.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“They persecute us because they know we are rising and the world will learn the truth about Hitler and look to us for leadership.”</p>

<p>After the images went viral, Dr Dvir Abramovich, chair of the Anti-Defamation Commission (ADC) released a statement condemning the act and called it a 'sad and dark day for Australia's democracy'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Something is very wrong in Victoria, and we should be all alarmed by this brazen and stomach-churning outrage that will forever be a stain on our state," Abramovich was quoted as saying by Dail Mail Australia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“This beyond despicable display of Hitler worshipping and depravity belongs in Nazi Germany of the 1930s, not in a local restaurant where parents and children gather.”</p>

<p>Surprisingly, nearly half (49 per cent) of the respondents stated it was difficult to work with Gen Z "all or most of the time". Meanwhile, a whopping 79 per cent dubbed them as the most difficult generation to have in the workplace.&nbsp;</p>

<p>59 per cent of respondents added that they have had to sack a Gen Z employee with 20 per cent of the employers firing them within a week of their start date.</p>

<p>Obrador's desperation could be gauged from the brochure he had drawn up to pitch the jet to prospective clients.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“You, you biggest producers, your elite sales team, your most prized associates can now enjoy a reserved flight experience until now only available to heads of state,” the brochure read, adding the plane has “incomparable VIP capacity”.</p>

<p>And indeed the jet had 'incomparable' facilities. Used by Obrador's predecessor Enrique Peña Nieto, the Dreamliner is customised with an executive bedroom, private bath and seating for 80 people. However, it was originally purchased for $218 million during former president Felipe Calderon's 2006-2012 term in office.</p>

<p>The wife of a former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent has claimed that an American Airline flight attendant allegedly locked her in the aeroplane's bathroom alongside her three-year-old son due to racism.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Yazz Giraldo, alongside her husband Ali Moghaddam and children, was flying from Fort Lauderdale in Florida to New York in September last year. During the flight, one of her kids wanted to urgently use the loo.&nbsp;Seeing that most passengers were using the washroom in front of the plane which was near her seat, Giraldo took her little son there but was soon stopped in the tracks by the flight attendant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, soon Giraldo heard a noise indicating she had been locked inside the washroom from outside.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I closed the door, when I’m inside the bathroom I start hearing the noise, ‘tick, tick, tick. I freaked out. I was already under so much stress. I started to panic, I banged on the door a few times and I said, ‘Let me out of here'," she was quoted as saying bY NY Post.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Giraldo, a former TV host said she lost count of time inside the toilet and upon being released, could feel herself 'shaking'. However, a supervisor soon came onto the scene and started scolding her, alleging that the pilot was forced to put the plane under a 'terrorist attack' warning because of her.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I immediately knew it was racism. I immediately knew I was being discriminated against," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Giraldo believes she was racially targetted because the flight attendants had heard her talking in Farsi to her toddlers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, Moghaddam became aware of the drama after the police came to escort his family off the plane in New York.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I dedicated about a decade of my life to public service, to protecting the community. Joint Terrorism Task Force, undercover, S.W.A.T., all of this...for my family to be labeled as terrorist and be marched off a plane just because we want to change a diaper?” said Moghaddam, a former Pennsylvania prosecutor&nbsp;</p>

<p>“For me there’s certain terms that have a history and connotation that is very negative. That word terrorism is unique, especially considering all my sacrifices…you don’t throw that around.”</p>

<p>“All cast members were safely evacuated from Tom Sawyer Island. Due to smoke and wind, attractions near the island were safely evacuated of any guests, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time,” the statement continued.</p>

<p>The show was brought to an &nbsp;end and an announcement said, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, this performance of Fantasmic! cannot continue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”</p>

<p>The freak incident took place at the Burro Canaglia Bar and Resto, an Italian restaurant, located on the western side of the capital city of Madrid. As soon as the incident was reported, Madrid's SAMUR emergency services were pressed into action.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Montse Marcos, a manager at the organisation informed that two men, aged between 25 and 30 died in the blaze. Meanwhile, the 10 injured are currently being treated in different hospitals.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“A fire in a restaurant in Manuel Becerra Square has resulted in the deaths of two people. Six people hurt have been taken to different hospitals in serious condition. Four other people suffered minor injuries,” said a spokesperson from the Emergency services.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Twelve firefighter crews have put out the fire that spread quickly across the restaurant ceiling. They also rescued several people, clients and employees."</p>

<p>“People came running to the fire station which is only about 400 metres from the restaurant. Our response was very quick because half of us responded by running to the scene on foot and the other half in vehicles,” said Marin.</p>

<p>“People were trapped inside when we arrived and after extinguishing the flames, we performed 12 rescues. They were trapped because the flames were preventing them from reaching the exit,” he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Spanish media reports, one of the deceased was the waiter while the other was one of the patrons of the restaurant.&nbsp;</p>
