India and Sri Lanka faced each other on Thursday evening (January 05), in Pune, in the second and penultimate T20I. With India being 1-0 ahead, Hardik Pandya & Co. aimed for an unassailable lead but fell short due to their bowlers' ordinary show and the top order's failure. Inviting SL to bat first, the Islanders rode on Dasun Shanaka's 22-ball 56 and Kusal Mendis' 52 to post 206/7 whereas India only managed 190/8, with Dilshan Madushanka, Kasun Rajitha, and Shanaka ending with two scalps each.

Among the Indian bowlers, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Shivam Mavi were the most expensive with the former bowling five no-balls. Overall, India conceded four wides and seven no-balls (12 extras in total). While Arshdeep bowled three no-balls on the trot in his first over, he bowled two more in his second and final over. Bowling the 19th over, he got rid of SL captain Dasun Shanaka -- who was caught at long-on by Suryakumar Yadav -- but didn't get the wicket as he once again overstepped. Following Arshdeep's repeated mistakes, Hardik was in shock and covered his face in disbelief. Here's the video:

Two Senegal MPs sentenced to six months in jail for kicking pregnant colleague in the stomach

The Big Bash League 2022/23 is attracting a lot of eyeballs. In the game between Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat, a sensational, as well as a controversial moment, came forward when Michael Neser pulled off a catch outside the boundary line only for the umpire to give the marching orders to the batter. The incident took place during the run-chase where the Sixers were chasing a mammoth 225.

With 33 needed off the last 12 deliveries, the Sixers' hopes rested on Jordan Silk and Sean Abbott. Silk was well-set and started the penultimate over with a maximum. He went for another big hit, off Mark Steketee, to be caught in an unusual manner by Neser at long-off. While it looked like the ball would go for a six, Neser produced a moment of brilliance. He first caught the ball and as he was aware that his momentum was taking him past the boundary line, he looped the ball in the air and timed his jump to catch the ball for the second time while not touching the ground. Just before he was about to land on the ground, Neser once again threw the ball in the air outside the boundary line, came inside the ropes and completed the catch. Here's the viral video:

Twitter Files 9.0 reveals a web of ‘social media surveillance, censorship’ by not just FBI, other agencies too

Day 2 of the ongoing second and final Test between India and Bangladesh has been filled with drama and lots of action on the 22-yard cricket strip. While the day started with India losing both their openers for cheap and No. 3 batter Cheteshwar Pujara also returning to the pavillion before the lunch break, the visitors could've lost another wicket due to a miscommunication between former skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant.

The incident took place on the last ball before lunch with Virat on strike. The right-hander played a flick shot to mid-on and was keen on taking a single. However, Pant sent him back as Kohli somehow managed to reach the crease with a diving effort. It wasn't well received as the senior pro gave a death stare to Pant. Here's the video which has gone viral on social media platforms:

India's ongoing tour of Bangladesh saw Ishan Kishan create history. Kishan featured in India's playing XI in the third and final ODI, with regular captain Rohit Sharma being injured, and opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. He looked in his elements from the word go and smashed a magnificent 131-ball 210, laced with 24 fours and 10 sixes, to become the fourth Indian to enter the 200-run club in ODIs.

Kishan became the youngster and fastest to score an ODI double ton. Have you ever been the lucky commoner contacted by a Nigerian prince? You know, the email from royalty asking the common man for a small help. I'm sure we all have gotten that email scam message. Now, the internet is asking if the infamous Nigerian princes are actually Norwegian or from "Norgeria". Confused? Well, a recent error by Elon Musk's Twitter has given rise to some pretty hilarious tweets. Recently, the Scandinavian country and some of its top officials found themselves listed as Nigerian government organisations and/or officials. Watch | Twitter Files 4.0 reveal how executives changed policies to permanently ban Trump For several hours on Tuesday Norwegian senior-most politicians and institutions were presented as being from the African country. Certified accounts of Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt and her ministry were among those displaying this error. In a cheeky post to Twitter, the nation's foreign ministry wrote "Dear @TwitterSupport, as much as we enjoy our excellent bilateral relations and close alphabetical vicinity with Nigeria, we would much appreciate if you could label us as Norway," along with a winking emoji. Alexa, Siri are helping users battle loneliness, making disabled people more independent: Survey

California's famous mountain lion P-22, often referred to as 'Brad Pitt' due to his good looks and easygoing attitude, has been captured to and tranquilised weeks after it attacked and killed a leashed chihuahua dog in Hollywood hills.

About four weeks back a video of the violent incident had gone viral on social video. As per KTLA, the tiny dog named Piper along with another canine was out on a leashed walk with its owner when the mountain lion attacked it. Piper was grievously injured and did not survive the attack.

The wild cat P22 is reportedly around 12 years old and is famous for roaming through residential areas. The male feline has been captured on CCTV frequently but his recent "agitated" behaviour is new and had alarmed the authorities.

Elon Musk is known for being outspoken and the eccentric billionaire has done it again. In his latest tweets, he has taken a jab at Anthony Fauci, the United States' outgoing top infectious disease official and key advisor of the US response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“There is a lot of noise now about our strikes against the energy infrastructure of our neighbour country. Yes, we are doing that but who started it? Who struck the Crimean Bridge? Who blew up the power lines of the Kursk Nuclear Power Station? Who is not providing water to Donetsk? Not providing water to a city with a population of one million is an act of genocide. No one said a word about it anywhere at all. Complete silence. Just as we make a move, do something in response, noise and crackle start for the whole universe. This will not prevent us from completing military objectives," he adds, while swaying from side to side.

Pakistan and England were involved in a riveting first Test, in Rawalpindi, which concluded on Day 5, on Monday (December 05), with Ben Stokes-led English side winning by 74 runs in defence of 343. While Babar Azam & Co. had locked horns with England at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Hasan Ali made heads turn during a local cricket match. He made the headlines for losing his cool and almost coming to blows with the crowd who kept on mocking and teasing him.

As per reports in the Pakistan media, Hasan was involved in a local match in ArifWala, a city in the Pakpattan district in the Punjab province, on Sunday (December 04) when local fans kept reminding him of his dropped catch in Pakistan's 2021 T20 World Cup semi-final loss at the hands of eventual winners Australia in Dubai. Back then, the 28-year-old was slammed on social media platforms. It seems some fans have still not moved on from the clash and once again taunted the speedster.

After having enough of it all, Hasan lost his composure and engaged in a physical altercation before being dragged back by many present at the venue. Here's the clip which will surely send shockwaves:

Once the No. 1 ODI bowler, Hasan was part of Pakistan's Asia Cup 2022 campaign but didn't make it to the T20 World Cup squad, where the Men in Green lost the final to England. He is not even part of the ongoing Test series between hosts Pakistan and England. Despite his recent struggles, fans should not forget that he was one of Pakistan's top performers in their last ICC triumph during the 2017 Champions Trophy in England and Wales.

While fans can criticise players, they should never cross a limit as was the case in the recent episode with Hasan. After all, he remains an international star and has contributed to the national side's success in the past.
