After being asked to bat first in the first ODI versus Australia, at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Jos Buttler-led England were 118 for 5 before Dawid Malan's 128-ball 134 took them to 287 for 9 on Friday (November 17). While Malan's knock was the sole reason for the ODI champions to post a challenging score, Ashton Agar made heads turn during the fag end of the English innings. During the 45th over, Malan tried to smack a delivery from Australia's new ODI captain Pat Cummins but Agar timed his jump to perfection and pulled off a sensational effort to save a certain six.

Talking about the delivery, it was a hard length on the body as Malan pulled it in front of square and the ball was sailing over the fence at deep mid-wicket when Ashton produced a stunning effort. The spin-bowling all-rounder's effort was jaw-dropping, to say the least, and the video of the same has gone viral in no time. Here's the clip:

Talking about the ODI series opener, England were asked to bat first and got off to a poor start. Skipper Cummins and Mitchell Starc reduced the Three Lions to 31 for 3 and they were tottering at 118 for 5 before Malan's calculative knock took them out of troubled waters. He stitched vital knocks with Liam Dawson (11) and Chris Jordan (14) whereas David Willey's 40-ball 34 not out propelled England to 287 for 9 in 50 overs. Cummins and spinner Adam Zampa accounted for three scalps each but the home side couldn't dismiss the visitors despite them losing half of their side without being near the 150-run mark.

In reply, David Warner-Travis' 147-run opening stand has dented England's chances of taking a 1-0 lead in the series opener. Australia are well on course for an easy win in Adelaide.

India beat Pakistan by four wickets on the last ball of the Super 12 contest at the T20 World Cup on Sunday (October 23). Chasing a competitive 160, India was struggling at 31 for 4 before a solid 113-run fifth-wicket stand between Virat Kohli (82 not out) and all-rounder Hardik Pandya (40) revived the run-chase and took their side to a memorable win.

The last over started with India needing 16 off the last six balls. While Hardik perished off the first ball, there was a lot of drama that followed suit. A waist-high delivery, which went for a six, was followed by a no-ball and a free-hit whereas another wicket fell before R Ashwin struck a boundary on the last delivery to get India past the finish line.

It's no secret that Indian weddings are grand affairs with hundreds of guests coming together to celebrate the union of a new couple. Bright clothes, scrumptious food and non-stop Bollywood music with thumping beats of dhols, that's a desi wedding for us. And it seems that New York also got a glimpse of a big fat Indian wedding last month.

It so happened that Suraj Patel, the former Candidate for US Congress, shared a clip of his brother's wedding in September, which shows a wedding procession blocking Broadway street and causing a temporary shutdown. "We shut down broadway for my brother's wedding!" the text in the clip read.

Decked in ethnic attires, people can be seen grooving to Hindi songs in the viral video. You can also see the groom riding a horse in the clip, followed by guests shaking their legs to the beats of the dhol.

"My heart is so full, for my family to have all been here for such an incredible occasion for my brother's wedding, so much love and energy on the streets of NYC," Patel wrote in an Instagram post.

Pakistan and New Zealand squared off in the T20I tri-series final on Friday (October 14). After both sides ended with three wins and a loss each in the group stage, the two heavyweights met once again in the summit clash, which was eventually won by Babar Azam & Co. by five wickets in pursuit of 164.

Opting to bowl first, at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch, the Men in Green bowlers did well to restrict Kane Williamson's New Zealand for 163-7 in 20 overs, with the skipper top-scoring with a fine 38-ball 59. Haris Rauf was the most successful bowler, with 2 for 22 at 5.50 whereas young Naseem Shah also returned with 2 for 38. Apart from his economical spell, Rauf also made heads turn by breaking power-hitter Glenn Phillips' bat with his express delivery. Here's the viral video:

The Legends League Cricket has made a lot of noise since its commencement. In a clash between the top two teams in the qualifier match, for a place in the final, India Capitals faced Bhilwara Kings at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium, Jodhpur on Sunday (October 02). In a high-scoring thriller, Gautam Gambhir-led India Capitals emerged on top by four wickets but the clash made heads turn for an ugly altercation between Yusuf Pathan and Mitchell Johnson.

The incident took place during the 19th over of Bilwara Kings' innings. Yusuf smacked the Australian for 6, 4 and 6 off the first three balls before being dismissed by him on the last ball of the penultimate over. After his dismissal, Johnson muttered a few words at the former Indian batter who didn't take it kindly. Yusuf went towards him and the Aussie shoved the batter when the two came very close to each other. The on-field umpires also joined in to control the situation whereas the fielders looked on. Here's the viral video of the whole episode:

Havig defeated the Babar Azam-led Men in Green in the Super Four clash, Dasun Shanaka-led Islanders once again emerged on top of the two-time champions to win the tournament for the sixth time, second-most after India (seven). Being asked to bat first, SL were in a spot of bother and tottering at 58-5 in 8.5 overs before Bhanuka Rajapaksa's 45-ball 71 and Wanindu Hasaranga's 21-ball 36 propelled the Islanders to a competitive 170-6 in 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan were never in the run-chase and got dismissed for 147 (20) with Pramod Madushan, Hasaranga and Chamika Karunaratne sharing nine scalps in between. After the clash, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Ramiz Raja was asked about the national side's loss in the summit clash of the continental tournament and he made heads turn with his behaviour. An Indian reporter asked him if he had a message for the Pakistan fans, back home, post the defeat. To this, Ramiz said, "You must be from India and will be very happy now that Pakistan has lost”. Later, the reporter argued that he wasn't happy as well but the argument continued between the duo before Ramiz slammed him and even grabbed his phone to move ahead and answer another reporter's question. The video has gone viral in no time.
Virat Kohli ended his international drought on Thursday (September 8) as India faced Afghanistan in their last Super Four clash before bowing out of the Asia Cup 2022 edition.
In reply, Afghanistan fell like nine pins in the run-chase by being restricted to 111/8 in 20 overs to lose by a whopping 101-run margin.
Hardik Pandya was the star performer for Team India when they opened their campaign in the Asia Cup 2022 edition, locking horns with Babar Azam's Pakistan at the Duvai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Sunday evening (August 28). After Bhuvneshwar Kumar's 4 for 26 and Hardik's 3-fer dismissed Pakistan for 147 in 19.5 overs, as Men in Blue opted to bowl first, India rode on Ravindra Jadeja's 29-ball 35 and Hardik's 17-ball 33 not out to achieve a thrilling five-wicket win infront of a jam-packed crowd at the venue.

Hardik came out to bat with India reduced to 89-4, following spinner Mohammad Nawaz's twin strikes, in the 15th over of the run-chase. He stitched a valuable 52-run stand for the fifth-wicket with Jadeja before losing his partner on the first ball of the last over, with 7 required for a victory. Jadeja went for the aerial shot but didn't connect as Nawaz struck once again to bring the match alive. With Dinesh Karthik coming in, preferred over Rishabh Pant in the playing XI, he gave the strike to Hardik on the next ball. The 28-year-old drove the following delivery powerfully but failed to close the game. With six required off three deliveries, Karthik said something to Hardik whose confident nod went viral in no time. On the next ball, the all-rounder connected and slammed a huge six over long-on to finish the run-chase in style.

Hopefully, after our small adjustment, we will be back up and running and the slide will be slower for more enjoyment,” the park made a statement on its Facebook page in the wee hours of Saturday, after closing down the slide on Friday itself. The slide, which reportedly costs $1 to ride, immediately drew the attention of social media users, who crowded the comments section of the post announcing the temporary closure for "readjustments." “Ok listen. And hear me out. Make it steeper,” a user commented jokingly. Later, the park's management made it clear that they had modified the slide, cleaned the surface, and sprayed water on it between rides to assist control the speed, enticing customers to attempt it again.
India's current head coach Rahul Dravid remains a big name in world cricket. The legendary cricketer had a highly successful career as one of India's main batters during his playing days, from 1996-2021. Dravid amassed 13,288 Test and 10,889 ODI runs and is now being looked upon as a coach who can change India's fortunes and help them end their ICC-title drought since 2013.

During Dravid's playing days, he was known to be a stylish batter who strived hard for his runs in the middle. The former Indian captain could also play the aggressor's role and, hence, was a versatile batter. His on-field demeanour was that of a calm and composed player, who didn't lose his cool very often on the 22-yard cricket strip. Nonetheless, whenever Dravid got angry, it made heads turn. During IPL 2013's Qualifier 2 match, between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Dravid gave an earful to Mitchell Johnson.

Dravid had hit Johnson for a four, as RR opted to bat first, when the Aussie speedster said something to 'The Wall'. While the Indian star batter hit him for another four, on the very next delivery, Dravid responded to Johnson and their verbal spat caught everyone's attention. Here's the throwback video:

While Dravid started the innings on fire, he departed for a 37-ball 43. Stuart Binny's quickfire 17-ball 27 propelled the one-time winners to a decent score, i.e. 165 for 6. However, it wasn't enough as Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai chased down the target on the penultimate ball with four wickets in hand. Dwayne Smith top-scored for MI, with a 44-ball 62, but Harbhajan Singh ended as the Player-of-the-Match for his 3 for 23.

Eventually, Johnson-starrer MI went onto win the IPL 2013 edition, beating MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 23 runs in the final, played at the same venue.

A man died tragically after a sinkhole on the surface of the swimming pool opened up spontaneously, dragging him and another man into a 43-foot-deep hole. The incident took place in Israel’s Karmi Yosef town, about 40 kilometres southeast of Tel Aviv.

While the other man managed to claw back his way out, the 32-year-old couldn’t survive. The incident took place during a pool party held for employees of a private company.

The Times of Israel newspaper reported that the rescue operations took at least four hours to retrieve the man's body from the deep hole on July 21. He has been identified as Klil Kimhi. Officials have been unable to determine the exact cause of his death—whether he drowned, was crushed, or died from the fall.

A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing how two men got swept away by the receding water, while many had a close shave after the sinkhole in the in-ground swimming pool opened up. There were six individuals in the pool at the time and they escaped unharmed.

The rescue services, who required the assistance of Go-Pro cameras, said that it was a complicated mission as there were concerns that tunnels branching out of the sinkhole could trigger a secondary collapse.

India faced England in the ODI series opener at the Kennington Oval, London on Tuesday (July 12). After clinching the three T20Is, 2-1, Rohit Sharma-led India carried on with the momentum and hammered Jos Buttler & Co. by ten wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the process.

Opting to bowl first, everything clicked for India as they quickly reduced England to 26 for 5 before bundling them out for a paltry 110 in 25.2 overs, with Jasprit Bumrah returning with a fine 6 for 19. In reply, openers Rohit (56-ball 76*) and Shikhar Dhawan (31 not out) remained unbeaten as their unbroken 114-run stand completed the formalities for the visitors, in 18.4 overs.

During the run-chase, Rohit looked in command and was in full flow from the word go. During his unbeaten knock at The Oval, one of the Indian captain's six hit a young spectator in the crowd, resulting in the proceedings coming to a halt briefly. Here's the video of the incident which left Rohit and the other players worried before medical attention was provided to the youngster:

FASTag smartwatch scam: NPCI, Paytm rubbish claims, call viral video ‘fake’

England were without regular captain Eoin Morgan when they locked horns with a hapless Netherlands side in the third and final ODI at the VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen on June 22 (Wednesday). Despite being without Morgan, the Jos Buttler-led side continued their merry run versus the hosts and won the series finale by eight wickets, in pursuit of a moderate 245.

After fifties from Max ODowd, Bas de Leede and keeper-captain Scott Edwards propelled the Netherlands to 244 all-out in 49.2 overs, England chased down the target in just 30.1 overs courtesy of Jason Roy's unbeaten 101 and stand-in skipper Buttler's 64-ball 86*. Earlier, David Willey had shined with the ball, returning with 4 for 36.

During the run-chase, Roy and Buttler shared an unbeaten 163-run third-wicket stand. While Roy struck at 117.44, Buttler was at his attacking best. He struck 7 fours and 5 sixes, with one of his maximums making heads turn. Facing pacer Paul van Meekeren in the 29th over, Buttler smacked a delivery for a six despite the ball landing outside the pitch. Meekeren tried a slower one but the ball got stuck in his hands and after release, Buttler pounced on the white cherry by showing no mercy.
