With just two more episodes of 'The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power' before the first season concludes, the Amazon Original series brought the house down with a massive battle sequence in episode 6, Udûn.

Fans of this epic fantasy series were left stunned by this mind-blowing episode, which is considered one of the most consequential events in the history of J.R.R. Tolkein’s Middle Earth. Among many sequences that left the viewers in awe, the events that followed Arondir aka Ismael Cruz Córdova definitely romped up the scope of action in the series close to the epic finale.

Talking about one of the most intense scenes where he was faced with an Orc where he manages to stab the berserker in the eye, Córdova said, “There are no stilts or camera tricks. The guy is massive, an incredible mover and fighter. I had to climb on him, step on his hip and leg and wrap myself around and strangle him as he’s moving around. It’s almost like being on a mechanical bull. There were no rigs, no wires, we were not being supported by anything. I was on the back of this massive man trying not to fall.”

The actor dissected his training for the battle that took eight months, and that fight alone was three months of preparation. He said, “The one that was the hardest was when he broke the column with my back and I had to keep my head forward, tuck my chin into my chest so that when he slams me against it my neck doesn’t whiplash. But, of course, sometimes it does. My neck was just destroyed; I was like a robot walking around.” After all the lessons in archery, martial arts, wirework and fight choreography, he “lived in a perpetual state of soreness” and was “full of bruises.”

Córdova was covered with the Orc’s blood, which was a mixture of gooey chocolate, gelatin and food coloring. Describing that he further added, “It was so sticky, so uncomfortable and so cold when we were shooting those night shoots,It all kept going into my breastplate. So I had this pool of sugary goo on me for the better part of two weeks.”

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's pre-wedding festivities are in full swing. After a long wait of two years, the couple is finally tying the knot in October, and before that, Richa and Fazal are making sure to make every moment memorable.

On Friday, the couple hosted their Delhi cocktail and reception for their family and friends from across Delhi. And, today, the 'Fukrey' actress shared a few photos of them together from the night.

In the picture, Richa looked every bit like an elegant bride in her custom-made Kresha Bajaj saree with the drape having a special meaning to the couple with Kresha and her team custom embroidering their love story onto it. Ali complemented his bride with a regal sherwani by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

68th National Film Awards 2022 Ceremony: Ajay Devgn and Suriya receive their Best Actor Award

To mark the momentous occasion of the 80th birthday of the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, the Film Heritage Foundation announced a unique film festival titled 'Bachchan, Back To The Beginning'.

In collaboration with PVR Cinemas, the festival is slated to be one of the grandest to celebrate the icon through his films. The four-day celebrations will be conducted from October 8 to 11 in 17 cities, covering 172 showcases and 30 screens across 22 cinema halls all over India.

The not-for-profit organisation founded by filmmaker and archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur has meticulously curated a bespoke collection of 11 blockbuster films that gave birth to one of the biggest superstars of the nation who continues to shine as brightly over 50 years since his debut on the silver screen.

Audiences across cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda, Raipur, Kanpur, Kolhapur, Prayagraj and Indore will get the exceptional opportunity to witness the sheer magnetism of the superstar on the big screen through his landmark films such as 'Don', 'Kaala Patthar', 'Kaalia', 'Kabhie Kabhie', 'Amar Akbar Anthony', 'Namak Halaal', 'Abhimaan', 'Deewar', 'Mili', 'Satte Pe Satta' and 'Chupke Chupke'.

Amitabh Bachchan shared his thoughts about this celebration. He said, "I didn't think that I would see a day that all these films from my early career would be back on the big screen across the country. It is a remarkable initiative of Film Heritage Foundation and PVR to showcase not just my work, but the work of my directors, fellow actors and technicians of the time who made these films possible. It brings back an era that is gone, but not forgotten. This is why saving India's film heritage is so important. I hope that this is just the beginning of many festivals that will celebrate landmark films of Indian cinema back on the big screen."

Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, Director, Film Heritage Foundation said, "Growing up, I was the biggest Amitabh Bachchan fan. I used to break bounds when I was in school to watch his films and was often thrown out of class in college for sitting in the back benches and writing notes about his films. I am so glad that Film Heritage Foundation is paying tribute to Mr. Bachchan on his 80th birthday with the first-of-its-kind countrywide four-day festival. It has been a mammoth task putting together the best of his early films that launched him as a superstar and to showcase these films so that audiences across the country can enjoy the films the way they were originally screened — on the big screen. I know that this will be the first of many festivals that will bring our cinematic heritage back to the theatres where it belongs."

He added, "I'd like to thank Ajay Bijli and the team at PVR for coming on board and making it possible to screen these iconic films in 17 centres around India from megacities like Mumbai and Delhi to smaller towns like Kolhapur, Surat, Kanpur and Indore. I would also like to thank my friend Siddharth Roy Kapur for his generous support that enabled us to do the festival and mount the exhibition of Mr. Bachchan's memorabilia at PVR Juhu."

Ajay Bijli, Chairman & Managing Director, PVR Ltd, said, "PVR is delighted to partner with Film Heritage Foundation for 'Bachchan Back to the Beginning' to mark the 80th birthday of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. We are so happy that for the first time ever we are able to stage a festival of this kind of Mr. Bachchan's films across the country to celebrate his work at the scale that is befitting the biggest icon of Indian cinema.

"The festival presents an incredible opportunity for fans across India, in big cities and small towns, to watch Mr. Bachchan in his most memorable roles, not on phones or laptops, but larger than life on the big screen, We look forward to working with Film Heritage Foundation in the future to regularly showcase the best of India`s film heritage in our cinemas," he added.

Big B will be turning 80 on October 11.

Liz Truss' government slammed for plans to scrap pesticide law after Brexit

The Weeknd announced a new date for his concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, keeping good on a promise to visit Los Angeles after being forced to postpone a performance earlier this month.

According to Variety, the concert, which was unexpectedly cancelled on Sept. 3 in Los Angeles, has been rescheduled for Nov. 26, the Saturday following Thanksgiving. The newly added performance is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, Nov. 27.

This coming Monday at 10 a.m. PT, tickets for the Nov. 27 performance go on sale here.No new tickets are being offered for that performance, at least not yet, as the concert on November 26 will replace the postponed appearance in September. The event on September 3 is no longer scheduled, thus tickets for that performance will automatically be changed to the new date. Given how many people travel to visit family around Thanksgiving weekend, a significant portion of those who held onto their tickets but couldn`t attend may be eligible for a refund up until October 27.

According to Variety, with the most recent addition, the Weeknd will have performed at SoFi Stadium three times in total. On September 2, he executed the first of his two scheduled L.A. performances flawlessly. Only four songs into what is typically a 29-song set on the second night, Sept. 3, did he bring the show to an end, about 24 minutes into the performance.

"I don`t know what just happened... but I just lost my voice," he told the crowd before exiting. "This is killing me, I don`t want to stop the show but I can`t give you the concert I want to give you right now. I`m gonna make sure everybody`s good -- you`ll get your money back -- I`ll do a show real soon for you guys. But I wanted to come out and personally apologize."

The Weeknd`s `After Hours Til Dawn` tour will come to a close with these two shows, which will both open with Kaytranada and Mike Dean. His local opening earlier in the summer had to be postponed due to widespread technical difficulties, thus the final dates on the tour before this announcement were September 22 to 23 in Toronto. The Weeknd`s stadium tour has generated $125 million in revenue across 20 sold-out dates.

'Men are from Mars, women are from Venus', which planet should humans visit first?

Have you been through a tough breakup, the kind which left you feeling physically drained, so much so that you didn't have the energy to go to work? Did you wish you could take a leave of absence for the heartbreak similar to the one offered for sick days? If your answer is yes, you are not alone.
