Pop superstar Britney Spears may be freed as early as Friday from a conservatorship that she has called abusive and humiliating if a Los Angeles judge rules in her favour and ends the 13-year legal arrangement.

The 'Piece of Me' singer, 39, has begged the court to terminate the conservatorship that has governed her personal life and $60 million estates since 2008.

The arrangement was set up and overseen by the singer`s father after she had a public breakdown and underwent treatment for undisclosed mental health issues.

Since revealing years of private anguish in tearful testimony in June, Spears has received a groundswell of public support and hired a new lawyer who has moved aggressively to end the restrictions.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny is scheduled to consider that request and possibly rule on the matter at a public hearing on Friday. None of those involved in the conservatorship opposes the request.

It is unclear if the singer will appear in person at the court on Friday or speak via audio as she has sometimes done in the past.
A key question is whether Penny might require Spears to undergo a mental health evaluation, a step often taken before ending a conservatorship. The singer has asked to be released without a new psychiatric assessment.

In June, Spears told the court she had been traumatized and wanted her "life back" as soon as possible. She said she had been forced to work and take medication against her will and was prevented from marrying or even getting her hair and nails done.
Her father, Jamie Spears, has said through attorneys that he helped his daughter rehabilitate her career and always acted in her best interest.

The fashion industry is rapidly evolving and it's pretty difficult to predict what's coming in the future. The new fashion innovation that has taken the centre stage and blown our minds is a 'unisex hijab'.

Global fashion brand United Colors of Benetton has launched a new range of the traditional Islamic headwear: a unisex hijab in collaboration with Italian rapper of Tunisian origin, Ghali Amdouni.

Henry Cavill still feels there is more of Superman left in him: It was a God-like being

This latest piece of garment is described as, ''Unisex hijab in stretch fabric. Small clashing print on the left side that combines the Benetton logo with Ghali's G. This accessory belongs to the ''United Colors of Ghali'' capsule collection, created by Ghali.''

The rapper had also shared some pictures of him donning a unisex hijab, which was launched in Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, on his Instagram page.

A hijab is a religious veil worn by many Muslim women in the public and usually covers the hair, head and chest.

The singer, 28, reportedly said: ''The hijab is a unique garment that I wanted very much. There was no resistance from the company to include it in the collection. When I was a child, I was bullied at school, there was no one to represent me, while now it is normality.

Rapper added, ''I am tired of hearing how everything Arab or Tunisian is associated to something negative. When I was little, my mother was afraid that I would go out with my Arab companions, she preferred that I have Italian friends. Now I think it is important to say that this diversity is an added value, it is what makes me unique.''

From appreciating to criticising the new innovation, the garment has become a new subject of discussion and has garnered a mixed response from netizens.

Meanwhile, some social media users used it as a source of inspiration to create memes and said bank robbers & hijackers can now have designer wear too.
Henry Cavill still feels there is more of Superman left in him: It was a God-like being The product is priced at £29.95 (Rs 3,000) and is available in black, yellow, red and green colours. This latest piece of garment is described as, ''Unisex hijab in stretch fabric. Small clashing print on the left side that combines the Benetton logo with Ghali's G. This accessory belongs to the ''United Colors of Ghali'' capsule collection, created by Ghali.'' View this post on Instagram A post shared by GHALI (@ghali) × The rapper had also shared some pictures of him donning a unisex hijab, which was launched in Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, on his Instagram page. Now I think it is important to say that this diversity is an added value, it is what makes me unique.'' Henry Cavill still feels there is more of Superman left in him: It was a God-like being From appreciating to criticising the new innovation, the garment has become a new subject of discussion and has garnered a mixed response from netizens. Meanwhile, some social media users used it as a source of inspiration to create memes and said bank robbers & hijackers can now have designer wear too.
Determining the accurate time frame of events when eight people were trampled to death at a Friday night concert in Houston is an early focus of the criminal investigation, the city's police chief said on Wednesday.

A stampede of fans during rap star Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival killed eight and injured scores who attended the concert in Houston`s NRG Park. Two of the injured are hospitalized in very critical condition, Police Chief Troy Finner told a news conference.

Investigators are looking into the timing of events including what producers knew about serious injuries to fans before the decision to end the show at about 10:10 p.m.

A high-ranking member of the production team was told cardiopulmonary resuscitation was being performed on one or more attendees, Finner said.

At least 50 lawsuits have been filed against producer Live Nation Entertainment Inc and Scott because of deaths and injuries related to Friday`s concert.

Finner walked back comments from a prior briefing on security staffing and an alleged needle attack on a private security guard. On Saturday, Finner put the number of private security personnel at 755 and said police were looking into reports of the needle attack.

Finner said the number of private guards was being reviewed and that the earlier figure no longer holds. "Some of the records presented to us were just not good records," he said.

He promised a comprehensive investigation even as local officials called for an independent probe because the police department deployed 500 officers to the concert. While the FBI has offered to help, Houston police are in charge of the criminal probe, Finner said.

That's a sign, perhaps, that the iffy reviews muted 'Eternals' results or a signal that the underlying intellectual property, the story of a group of god-like extraterrestrials, didn't have the resonance of other comic book adaptations. Marvel has successfully introduced lesser-known heroes, such as the Guardians of the Galaxy, to movie fans and spawned successful franchises with them, but that series got a lift from critics and also debuted in a time before anyone had ever heard of COVID. So, a much different world order.

Box Office: 'Eternals' reigns supreme with $71 Million debut

In what is touted to be one of the biggest releases of 2021, cross-country heist flick 'Red Notice' has glitz, glamour and a very attractive pair of con artists wrestling for the title of being the world's greatest art thieves: Gal Gadot, and the other one being Ryan Reynolds.

In a recent exclusive, entry-per-invite-only press conference with the Asian media--which WION was a part of--global star Gal Gadot admitted that, yes, it is good to be bad (in a movie, that is!), explained why the thought of dancing next to Dwayne Johnson was terrifying and revealed that Johnson was actually more interested in playing her role in the movie.

"Dwayne!" Gal Gadot exclaimed to WION's question about her main motivation behind taking up 'Red Notice'. "No, but to be honest. Rawson Marshall Thurber, our wonderful director and writer. When he first pitched me the idea for the movie, I was blown away by the ambitiousness and how surprising the story is. And I was also very intrigued to be able to play a character who's a bit different than what I usually used to do," she further told WION, exclusively.

This big-budget movie marks Gal Gadot's first collaboration with director Rawson Marshall Thurber. So when an Indian media house--whose question had overlapped with other international media outlets--asked about her first-time working experience with Thurber, she replied, "Amazing. He is such a sweetheart."

"I'll tell you the truth. I was a bit nervous at the beginning just because, you know DJ is a giant man and I have feet down there, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. And I kept telling DJ, we're going to practice, we're going to rehearse. And he was super cool, kept on calming me down and saying, don't worry, this is going to be great. And of course, that just made me more nervous. But then he showed up, and this guy is a freaking ballerina. I don't know how it works with like physics rules and all that, but he had, he's so talented and such a good dancer. And it was so much fun to shoot the scene with you," added the 'Wonder Woman' star while elaborating on the difficult aspect of her creative collaboration on 'Red Notice'.

Another Indian media outlet asked Gadot about that one piece of item she would steal from her co-stars--both Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds--if she could? The actress laughed, and said, "If I could steal one thing from D.J.. Yeah, it would be. Is there??Such a.. I'm so slow today. It's just like I would steal your. I would steal his... I don't know. I wouldn't want... OK, so I'll go cheesy as well, yeah. If I could steal anything from Dwayne The Rock Johnson, a.k.a. DJ, I would steal his smile."

The banter went on throughout the 25-minute long press con where Gal Gadot also talked about the rise of 'Squid Game', among other Korean entertainment entities, that has gained global prominence and said that she is happy to see such interesting work coming out of Korea.

Also read: Exclusive: Ryan Reynolds- 'Red Notice' wanted Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and my friendship to be seen on screen "Dwayne!" Gal Gadot exclaimed to WION's question about her main motivation behind taking up 'Red Notice'. He is such a sweetheart." "I'll tell you the truth. Also read: ‘Red Notice’ review: All for the star power of Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot & Ryan Reynolds Another Indian media outlet asked Gadot about that one piece of item she would steal from her co-stars--both Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds--if she could? The actress laughed, and said, "If I could steal one thing from D.J.. Yeah, it would be. Is there??Such a.. I'm so slow today. It's just like I would steal your. I would steal his... I don't know. I wouldn't want... OK, so I'll go cheesy as well, yeah. If I could steal anything from Dwayne The Rock Johnson, a.k.a. DJ, I would steal his smile." The banter went on throughout the 25-minute long press con where Gal Gadot also talked about the rise of 'Squid Game', among other Korean entertainment entities, that has gained global prominence and said that she is happy to see such interesting work coming out of Korea. 'Red Notice' streams on Netflix from November 12.

"It began as the adventures of a jackass named John Difool, and then it became something else, we called it `The Incal`, something that has transformed everything it`s ever touched and continues to do so: its creators, the other artists who later became a part of John`s journey, its publisher Humanoids and myself in the process, countless readers, writers and directors around the world, and soon, I believe, the great Taika Waititi himself and everyone who looks to him for inspiration," said Humanoids CEO Fabrice Giger.
