<p>The Perth hotel has taken swift action and suspended the individuals involved after Indian cricket team superstar Virat Kohli complained about a breach of privacy on Monday (October 31). Issuing an apology to Kohli and the Indian cricket team, the hotel said the video has been taken down from the social media handles of the concerned individuals.</p>

<p>Kohli took to social media on Monday to express his disappointment after his room was invaded by unknown individuals who filmed inside and posted the video on social media. The former India captain said the video was 'appalling' and made him feel 'paranoid' about his own privacy.</p>

<p>After huge outrage from the cricket fraternity, Crown Resorts, the hotel in question where the Indian team stayed in Perth, said it was incredibly disappointed over the incident. The hotel confirmed that&nbsp;all individuals concerned have been stood down and that further investigation is being conducted into the matter.</p>

<p>"The safety and privacy of our guests is our number one priority, and we are incredibly disappointed this incident has occurred. We unreservedly apologise to the guest involved and will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure this remains an isolated incident," Crown said in a statement.</p>

<p>Indian skipper Rohit Sharma expressed regret over the missed chances during the T20 World Cup match against South Africa on Sunday (October 30) at Perth Stadium, thanks to half-centuries from David Miller and Aiden Markram.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A crucial 76-run partnership between Miller (59 not out) and Markram (52) led the team to achieve the set target with two balls to spare after the South African bowlers had held India to 133-9.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the match, India made mistakes on the field as well. Markram survived a scare at 35 when a fumbling Virat Kohli dropped an easy catch at deep mid-wicket. Rohit, who said that the team was "just not good enough", also missed an underarm direct hit at the striker's end.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the post-match presentation, Rohit said, "We were a little poor in the field, we gave so many chances and we weren't clinical. We were just not good enough."&nbsp;</p>

<p>India's star batter Virat Kohli dropped quite an easy catch during a key match against South Africa in the ongoing T20 World Cup on Sunday (October 30).&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the match, India set a below-par target of 134 to win for the South African team after Lungi Ngidi led a fiery pace onslaught and left Indian batters struggling.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, Suryakumar Yadav (68) emerged as the top scorer for Men In Blue, hitting an attacking half-century but it was not good enough. Aiden Markram and David Miller's half-centuries helped South Africa beat India by five wickets.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the match, India missed a couple of wicket chances, and one of them was Kohli dropping an easy catch. Kohli lost a simple catch of Markram. It left Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin visibly angry. When the incident happened, Markram had 35 runs on the board going into the 12th over.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the fifth ball of the 12th over, Markram pulled over to deep mid-wicket that went straight to Kohli, but the fielder fumbled twice, eventually dropping it. (a rare sight for Indian fans). Kohli has a wry smile on his face, but Ashwin was furious.&nbsp;</p>

<p>David Miller and Aiden Markram combined to steer South Africa home in a tricky run-chase as the Proteas defeated India by five wickets in the T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday (October 28). It was a low-scoring thriller between the two sides in Perth as South Africa managed to come out on top after holding their nerves towards the end.</p>

<p>After an excellent effort with the ball to stop India on&nbsp;a paltry 133, South Africa found themselves in troubled waters early in their run chase as Indian bowlers gave the Proteas a taste of their own medicine with the ball.</p>

<p>Arshdeep Singh continued his fine form with the new ball as he struck twice in his very first over to get rid of Quinton de Kock on just one off 3 balls and Rilee Rossouw on a duck.</p>

<p>South African skipper Temba Bavuma too couldn't trouble the scorers much and departed for just 10 off 15 balls as his men were left reeling on 24/3 inside the Powerplay. However, Markram and Miller combined to post a match-winning 76-run stand for the fourth wicket as they helped South Africa stage a comeback in the contest.</p>

Markram slammed a crucial 52 off 41 deliveries while Miller played an important knock of unbeaten 59 to steer his team over the line.</p>

<p>Suryakumar Yadav played a terrific knock of 40-ball 68 but his superlative effort went in vain as South Africa managed to hand India their first defeat in the tournament. It was an excellent bowling effort from the Proteas, who rode on an exceptional spell from Lungi Ngidi to restrict India to a low-key total.</p>

<p>Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa as he ran through India's top-order to finish with brilliant figures of 4/29 in his four overs and was awarded the Man of the Match for his bowling heroics. Ngidi was well supported by Wayne Parnell, who picked up three wickets while conceding only 15 runs off his four overs.</p>

<p>On a day when the rest of the Indian batting line-up struggled massively in Perth, Suryakumar proved why he is one of the best T20 batters in the world at present with a memorable knock albiet in a losing cause.</p>

<p>The loss brought an end to India's winning streak in the tournament as South Africa grabbed the top spot in Group 2 with five points from three matches so far. India are at the second spot with four points and are still comfortably placed to secure a spot in the semi-finals with two games in hands.</p>

<p>However, their defeat have al but ended arch-rivals Pakistan's chances of making it to the semi-finals after Babar Azam &amp; Co. lost their first two games in a row against India and Zimbabwe respectively.</p>

<p>Bangladesh survived a dramatic final over to pull off a narrow three-run win against Zimbabwe in T20 World Cup, where the officials, in a rare incident, called the players back from dugout to complete the contest after realising that Nurul Hasan's stumping in the final ball was not clean, here Sunday.</p>

<p>Bangladeshi players were celebrating after Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani, who was required to his a six in the final ball for a famous win, missed the ball and was stumped by Nurul Hasan.</p>

<p>However TV replays showed that Hasan had collected the ball in front of the wicket, which is against the rules, hence Zimbabwe were awarded a free hit and all the players were called back for final action. Zimbabwe now needed four runs to win.</p>

<p>The nonplussed players, who had walked off the field after shaking hands, thinking that Bangladesh had won, assembled again. Zimbabwe could not cash in on the chance and no further drama followed as Muzarabani again missed the ball again and finally Bangladesh rejoiced the victory.</p>

<p>Zimbabwe were chasing 151 and fell short by three runs. It was opener Najmul Hossain Shanto who smashed seven fours and one maximum in his 55-ball 71-run knock and single-handedly powered Bangladesh to a competitive 150 for 7.</p>

<p>In reply, Zimbabwe lost too many wickets to find themselves in the dumps at 35 for 4 in the sixth over but Sean Williams conjured up a magnificent 42-ball 64-run innings to revive the chase.</p>

Hossain then bowled the most important over of his career as he dismissed Brad Evans (2) in the second ball but Richard Ngarava slammed him for a four and a six in the next two balls to keep them in the hunt.</p>

<p>Hossain, however, had Ngarava stumped in the next ball as Zimbabwe needed five off the last ball. The unprecedented scenes followed after that but eventually, Bangladesh survived. It was Bangladesh's second win in the tournament following their 104-run loss to South Africa, while Zimbabwe suffered their first loss in the super 12 stage.</p>

<p>Later, Karthik practiced catches off awkward edges. Here, the team used a special rubber bat with rough and rugged edges. The moment the ball hits those rugged cuts, it could fly in any direction -&nbsp;inside edge, outside edge, lob on-front, or just nosedive.</p>

<p>It was mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton, who batted left-handed during the drills. In fact coach Rahul Dravid had instructed net bowlers (spinners) to bowl fast and quick into the stumps when Karthik was keeping.</p>

<p>Legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram has slammed Pakistan captain Babar Azam after the team's humiliating defeat against Zimbabwe in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. Akram and his former bowling partner Waqar Younis criticised&nbsp;Babar for being selfish when it came to retaining his opening spot in the batting line-up.</p>

<p>In a discussion on a Pakistan channel following the team's 1-run defeat against Zimbabwe, Waqar pointed out how there have been constant changes in the bowling department and the middle-order in Pakistan's T20I team, however, the openers have never been changed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Waqar believes opening is the easiest spot in T20Is and that Babar should have challenged himself by batting at no.3 and allowing someone else to take the top spot to set an example as a leader.</p>

<p>“The easiest place to bat in T20s is opening. You have not let anyone else open in the last two years. I have discussed this with Misbah before&nbsp;that why don’t you try something new? You have tried it out with bowling, but with batting, we have tried all the experiments with the middle order. But the openers have remained the same and they have batted 14-15 overs together,” Waqar said on A Sports.</p>

<p>"Sometimes, as a captain and as a leader, you leave your spot and say, Haider, if it is not working out for you in the middle order, I will give you the easier spot (opening) and we never tried that out, and that is why we are suffering. And we also lose because of the way they score runs. To become No.1 and No. 2 (in T20I rankings) is not a big deal, the important thing is to win after scoring those runs,"&nbsp;he added.</p>

<p>Akram agreed with Waqar's comments on Babar and accused the Pakistan skipper of being 'insecure' and 'playing for himself'. The former Pakistan pacer also went on to recall how Babar had refused to come down the order when Akram was part of the Karachi Kings' backroom staff in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).</p>

<p>"All of these things begin at the top. And at the top is your captain. If your captain plays for himself and is insecure. If your captain scores runs and lets other batters play at his position, you get to know that your captain is ready to sacrifice himself for you, this Babar has to learn,"&nbsp;said Wasim.</p>

In the team we had a couple of bad phases and I requested him once or twice nicely, that please come down at number 3, we’ll try something different.
