<p>Gupta from Sundawn Entertainment PVT LTD has made shocking allegations against the <em>Gadar</em> actor. Earlier this week in a press conference, the film producer accused Deol of taking payment in advance for a project&nbsp;that he&nbsp;never started.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a press conference, Gupta&nbsp;accused Deol of taking a payment of Rs 1 crore for a film in 2016. He alleged that the actor continuously demanded&nbsp;more money with a promise to start filming soon, which he never did.</p>

<p>Gupta told HT City that they signed Deol for the movie on the payment of Rs 4 crore with an advance payment of Rs 1 crore. “We gave him ₹1cr in advance but instead of starting my film, he opted to shoot for <em>Poster Boys</em> (2017). He kept asking me for more money and by now my ₹2.55cr is in Sunny ji’s account. He also made me give money to another director, book Filmistaan studio and get an executive producer,” Gupta said.</p>

<p>He also accused the actor of forgery as he claimed Deol&nbsp;has changed the agreement and raised his fee from Rs 4 crore to Rs 8 crore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“When we read the agreement, humne dekha ki unhonein toh panna hi change kar diya beech wala, jahan par fees ka amount ₹4cr ko badha kar ₹8cr kar diya aur profit to ₹2cr kar diya (He changed a page of the agreement and raised his fees from Rs 4 crore to Rs 8 crore with the profit of Rs 2 crore),” he shares.</p>

<p>Gupta has filed a police complaint against Sunny. “The police issued [Deol] a notice on April 30. His office sent a letter saying he was out of town on the day he was to present himself,” says Gupta.</p>

<p>Filmmaker Suneel Darshan was also part of the press conference as he claimed that he had faced the same issue with Deol earlier and has not settled his payments with him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Darshan, known for films like<em> Janwar </em>(1999) and <em>Andaaz</em> (2003) said, “Sunny Deol acquired rights for my movie Ajay (1996) for overseas distribution and only made a partial payment. The balance payment never came through.”</p>

<p>He added, “Later, Sunny requested me to work on a project with him, saying, ‘Have faith in me, help me out’, and got me to pay him again.”</p>

<p>An&nbsp;industry source further told HT that&nbsp;Deol is known to not fulfil&nbsp;his promise.&nbsp;A source has claimed how Sunny signed a movie, but demanded a huge amount after <em>Gadar 2 </em>became a hit.</p>

<p>“He is a known troublemaker for years. Sunny had given a bound script of a film called Ram Janmbhumi to a producer who created a huge set in Mumbai. Sunny signed the film for ₹5cr. But later, he refused to come to the sets and demanded a fees of ₹25cr because he had delivered a blockbuster (Gadar 2, 2023),” source said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sunny Deol's team has not reacted to the claims yet.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On the work front, Sunny was last seen in<em> Gadar 2.</em> The sequel to the 2001 blockbuster of the same name was one of the highest earning films&nbsp;of the year 2024.&nbsp;&nbsp;The movie earned Rs 6 billion at the worldwide box office.</p>

<p>With Lok Sabha elections drawing closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its eighth list on Saturday (Mar 30) which included the names of candidates fielded from Punjab, Odisha and West Bengal.</p>

<p>In Punjab, the saffron party has handed the ticket to former Congress MP and former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh's wife Preneet Kaur from Patiala who had won the same seat in the 2019 general elections on Congress ticket.</p>

<p>Preneet Kaur, who was suspended by the Congress in February 2023 over alleged 'anti-party' activities, joined the BJP earlier this month.</p>

<p>She embraced her new party on March 14 in the presence of prominent leaders, including Punjab unit chief Sunil Jakhar, who himself was formerly associated with the Congress.</p>

<p>Kaur is set to face AAP candidate Dr Balbir Singh from the Patiala seat. The Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal are yet to announce their candidates from Patiala.</p>

Sunny Deol addresses rumours of Border 2, says ‘not signed any film’

<p>A bank notice played a mood dampener for Bollywood actor and Indian MP Sunny Deol as he received an auction letter for his bungalow in Mumbai’s Juhu. The auction notice was issued to recover Rs 56 crore through an e-auction to be held on August 25, according to the bank statement. Luckily, the bank has withdrawn this auction and Sunny Deol doesn’t have a thing to worry about. Sunny Deol has been in default on a Rs 55.99 crore loan from the Bank of Baroda since December 2022.</p>

<h2><strong>Bank issues statement withdrawing the notice</strong></h2>

<p>As the bank reversed its stand, the Bank of Baroda issued a statement: "Corrigendum to e-auction notice with regards to sale auction notice in respect of Mr Ajay Singh Deol alias Mr Sunny Deol stands withdrawn due to technical reasons.” Meanwhile, over the weekend, the bank&nbsp;said that the auction of the Juhu property known as Sunny Villa would commence at Rs 51.43 crore. The minimum bid amount was set at Rs&nbsp;5.14 crore.</p>
