The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the match schedule of the New Zealand men`s cricket team`s dual tours of Pakistan. "New Zealand will play two Tests as part of their ICC World Test Championship title defence and three ICC Men`s Cricket World Cup Super League fixtures from December 27 to January 15, before returning for five T20Is and five ODIs from April 13 to May 7. On the first leg of the Pakistan tour, Kane Williamson`s side will play Tests in Karachi (December 27-31) and Multan (January 4-8). They will return to Karachi for the three ICC Super League matches on January 11, 13 and 15," PCB said in an official statement.

The Karachi Test will be New Zealand`s first in the metropolitan city since October 1990 when Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis shared 15 wickets between them and Shoaib Mohammad scored 203 not out, and the first in Pakistan since the May 2002 Test in Lahore in which Inzamam-ul-Haq scored a memorable 329 and Shoaib Akhtar recorded first innings figures of 8.2-4-11-6.It continues to be a memorable year for Multan as well. After hosting three ODIs against the West Indies in May, they will stage the second Test between Pakistan and England (December (9-13), before holding the second Test between Pakistan and New Zealand. Multan has also been announced as one of the four venues of the HBL Pakistan Super League, which will be held from February 9 to March 19. New Zealand will begin the second leg of the Pakistan tour in Karachi with four T20Is (April 13, 15, 16 and 19), followed by the fifth T20I and two ODIs in Lahore (April 23, 26 and 28) and last three ODIs will be played in Rawalpindi (May 1, 4 and 7).

Sent into bat, New Zealand were restricted to 134 for eight. Pakistan completed the task with eight balls to spare and, in a way, exacted revenge for what they considered an off-field snub by the Kiwis in the run-up to the T20 showpiece.

New Zealand had pulled out of a tour of Pakistan last month citing security concerns, leaving the host nation disappointed and angry.

Chasing a modest target of 135, Pakistan lost their in-from skipper Babar Azam for 9 with the total reading 28 in the sixth over.

Mohammad Rizwan contributed 33, even as Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez got out for identical score of 11. 
However, Asif Ali (27 not out) and the experienced Shoiab Malik (26) joined forces and took the match away from

New Zealand with their sensible batting. Earlier, New Zealand were restricted to 134 for eight in their Group 2 game. 
None of New Zealand batters could make substantial scores at the comparatively smaller Sharjah Cricket Ground. 
Opener Daryl Mitchell made 27, skipper Kane Williamson contributed 25 while Devon Conway managed to score 27 as the Kiwis struggled to get going against Pakistan's formidable bowling attack.

Fast bowler Haris Rauf returned excellent figures of 4/22, while there was wicket apiece for Shaheen Afridi, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Hafeez.

Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry recently claimed that PTV suffered massively in the aftermath of New Zealand's abandonment of Pakistan tour, minutes before the tour-opener.&nbsp;

Pakistan Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry is claiming that the threat to New Zealand's cricket team, that led to the cancellation of their Pakistan tour on September 17, came in an email that originated in India.&nbsp;

Recently, New Zealand abandoned the series citing a government "security alert" on the day when the first match of the tour was supposed to begin.&nbsp;

New Zealand cricket had, however, did not comment on the details of the security threat and later arranged a charter flight to bring their players home via UAE.&nbsp;

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday (September 22), Fawad told reporters, "This email was generated from India through a VPN showing the location of Singapore".&nbsp;

The New Zealand cricket team arrived in Dubai after leaving Islamabad on a charter flight on September 18 as New Zealand was warned of a "specific, credible threat" against its team.&nbsp;

The official New Zealand cricket website has informed that the contingent of 34 players and support staff are in Dubai and undergoing their 24-hour period of self-isolation.&nbsp;

Some cricketers will fly back home and the rest will remain in the UAE and join New Zealand's T20 World Cup squad, ahead of that tournament commencing on October 17.&nbsp;

Pakistan and New Zealand were supposed to play on September 17 first of three ODIs in Rawalpindi, before moving to Lahore for a five-match T20 series.&nbsp;
