<p>India on Friday (Dec 20) lodged a strong protest with Bangladesh over a now-deleted social media post by an aide of Muhammad Yunus. </p>
<p>Addressing a press conference, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "We have registered our strong protest on this issue with the Bangladesh side. We understand that the post being referred to has reportedly been taken down."</p>
<p>"We would like to remind all concerned to be mindful of their public comments," Jaiswal added. </p>

<p>A few days back, senior Bangladeshi leader Mahfuj Alam who is serving as an advisor in Yunus' interim government, shared a post on social media that had a map that included India's eastern and northeastern territories of Bengal, Assam, and Tripura. </p>
<p>However, the post was deleted two hours later.</p>
<p>In a post on X shared by Bangladeshi non-profit organisation Bangladesh Watch, Alam alleged that India maintained a "contain" and "ghettoize" policy towards his country.</p>

<p>A former student of a primary school in Croatia's capital city of Zagreb went on a stabbing spree on Friday, killing a seven-year-old child and injuring four others.</p>
<p>Citing a statement from the interior ministry, a report by the news agency Reuters said that the 19-year-old attacker entered the school at 9.50 am local time and used a sharp object to wound a teacher and several children.</p>
<p>The attacker was detained by the police.</p>
<p>Health Minister Irena Hrstic said the attacker stabbed five people, wounding four and killing one. The suspect later injured himself and was detained.</p>
<h2><strong>'We are horrified'</strong></h2>
<p>Reacting to the tragic incident, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that the government was horrified.</p>
<p>“We are starting a bit late with the government meeting because, just like the entire Croatian public, we’re horrified by this enormous tragedy that happened this morning at the elementary school Precko in Zagreb," Prime Minister Plenkovic said at the start of the government meeting.</p>
<p>"Minister Bozinovic (Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic) and Minister Fuchs (Education Minister Radovan Fuchs) are at the scene currently and they, just like the police and all the other emergency services are trying to determine what exactly happened in this huge incident,” he added.</p>
<p>The news of the attacker being a former student was announced by Interior Minister Bozinovic.</p>
<h2><strong>Worried relatives wait at school</strong></h2>
<p>Relatives of children attending the primary school in Zagreb waited for information following the stabbings.</p>
<p>"My child attends this school, where an assault occurred involving the teacher and reportedly the pupils. We're just now hearing reports that multiple children are hospitalised, but no other information is available. It is disastrous that when I rushed into the school, I had no information regarding my child's whereabouts; no one was willing to provide any details, I really don’t know what to say...," the father of a student told Reuters.</p>
<p>"I'm waiting here now to... Honestly, I don't know what I'm waiting for... I don't know what I'm waiting for, because what's happening in this country is not normal," he added.</p>
<p>Croatian authorities said they planned to hold a national day of mourning on Saturday.</p>

One child killed in Croatia school as former student goes on stabbing spree

<p>Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are putting separation rumours to rest. On Friday (Dec 20), Aish and Abhishek appeared together for the second consecutive day at their daughter Aaradhya's annual day event. </p></p>
<p>A day after the couple stepped out with Abhishek's father Amitabh Bachchan, they had again made a joint appearance. But, today they were accompanied by Aish's mother Brinda Rai. </p>
<p>As per the videos going viral, the couple arrived at the venue together. In a clip, the <em>Guru</em> actor was seen stepping out of his vehicle, followed by his wife Aish and her mother Brinda. </p>
<p>Aish held her mother's hands as she and Abhishek escorted her and they walked inside the venue. In the clip, Abhishek is dressed in an olive-green co-ord set with a blue shirt. While Aishwarya wore an all-black outfit comprising of a black shirt and jeggings. Her signature red lipstick was the highlight of her look.</p>

<p>Macron said that the "problem with emergency care in this country is that it's filled with people called Mamadou", during a discussion last year in front of his then-health minister Aurelien Rousseau, according to an article in Le Monde on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Mamadou is a name popular among men originating from Muslim ethnic groups in West Africa.</p>
<p>"The Elysee strongly denies these reported remarks, which were not subjected to any verification by the presidency before publication," an official in the presidency said.</p>

<p>In the post, Khanna said Hathaway's visit was special as his late sister Radhika was a huge fan of the Hollywood star's 2006 film "The Devil Wears Prada", co-starring Meryl Streep.</p>
<p>"I still remember the day I had to delete all 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'Sex and the City' files from my computer. I had saved them to watch on loop with my sister while sitting by her hospital bed. I've lost count of how many times Radha, @sammahmood, and I watched those movies together," Khanna said.</p>

<p>Military radar showed the plane left its flight path to fly back over northern Malaysia then out into the Andaman Sea before turning south, then all contact was lost.</p>
<p>Debris, some confirmed and some believed to be from the aircraft, has since washed up along the coast of Africa and on islands in the Indian Ocean.</p>
<p>Loke said the proposal to resume the search in the southern Indian Ocean came from exploration firm Ocean Infinity, which had conducted the last search for the plane that ended in 2018.</p>
<p>A contract would be signed to cover an 18-month period and the firm would receive $70 million if wreckage found was substantive, he said, adding the search would be on the seabed of a new area covering 15,000 sq km (5,790 sq miles).</p>

<p>"What happens if Usman Khawaja retires in two Test matches? Does McSweeney then come back in, or does he go to the back of the queue? They've got to come out and say, ‘We made a mistake picking him,'" Clarke said.</p>

Hero MotoCorp launches Xpulse 200 4V Dakar Edition

<p>Nathan McSweeney has been dropped from Australia’s Playing XI for the Boxing Day Test as the Aussies look to avoid another humiliation against India at the venue. Sam Konstas has been roped into the squad with a likely place in Playing XI.</p></p>
<p>The news, reported in Australian media earlier, was confirmed on Friday (Dec 20).</p>
<p>McSweeney’s performances did not impress the selectors in the ongoing Boder-Gavaskar Trophy. The Boxing Day Test is set to start on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), a venue where India has had an impressive recent record.</p>
<h2><strong>Nathan McSweeney dropped</strong></h2>
<p>Having scored 72 runs in six innings during the opening three matches of the BGT, McSweeney has been on the receiving end of heavy criticism. After multiple media reports from CODE Sports and The Sydney Morning Herald, the selectors’ panel led by George Bailey called Konstas- who had impressed in the domestic competitions-  to take the opener’s role.</p>

<p>"The news of the death of many people due to a road accident in Jaipur is very painful. I pray to God for peace to the departed souls. My deepest condolences to their families! I pray that the injured get well soon," she posted on X in Hindi.</p>
<p>Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a statement on X expressed his condolences and said that he talked to BJP's Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and sought updates of the incident.</p>
<p>"The road accident in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is extremely sad. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. I spoke to Chief Minister Shri @BhajanlalBjp ji in this regard. The local administration is working to provide immediate treatment to the injured. I wish the injured a speedy recovery."</p>

<p>At around 5:44 AM near Delhi Public School on the highway, the LPG tanker, travelling from Ajmer toward Jaipur while making a U-turn toward Ajmer, collided with a truck coming from Jaipur. The resulting impact triggered a gas leak which spread over a 200-metre radius before igniting into a massive fireball.</p>
<p>While seven people, including one unidentified woman and two men, have been confirmed dead, another 35, some with burns covering up to 70 per cent of their bodies, have been admitted to nearby SMS Hospital.  </p>
