Donald Trump told Republican lawmakers that his wife's movie Melania was "hot" and that she had become a "movie star." While talking to other members, Trump told them how drug prices fell in his first term, and he went home and told his wife, Melania, about it. From here, he took a huge diversion, steering the conversation towards "Melania", the documentary. "I was so proud. I went home and told our great first lady, who is now a movie star. Can you believe it? That movie was hot, and it is hot. She became a movie star. It was a good movie," Trump said. Melania premiered earlier this year and dropped on OTT on March 9. The movie has been directed by Brett Ratner and shows the 20 days leading up to Trump's inauguration as the US President. It amassed $7 million at opening, way more than another hit, "Am I Racist?" which collected $5.4 million. In February, Trump made a similar quip during the Board of Peace meeting. “Melania is a big, big movie star.
Trump on Iran war
Trump is currently in the limelight for the war with Iran. US and Israeli forces attacked the country on February 28, killing Ayatollah Khamenei. The war has been ongoing, as Trump said it could last four to five weeks. On Monday, he claimed that the conflict was nearly over, then took another U-turn soon after, vowing to continue fighting until total victory was achieved. He told CBS News in an interview that things have moved much faster than expected, and Iran's arsenal has depleted. "They have no navy, no communications, they've got no air force. Their missiles are down to a scatter. Their drones are being blown up all over the place, including their manufacturing of drones," he said.

Donald Trump injected his wife, Melania's documentary, into a regular address to Republicans, saying the movie was hot and praising his “movie star” wife. Melania dropped on Amazon Prime Video on March 9.

Other elements include 75 wreaths and 51 Christmas trees with more than 700 feet of garland, more than 2000 strands of light, over 28,000 feet of ribbon and over 2,800 gold stars, which are scattered across the White House. Across the hall, there is a 120-pound gingerbread White House in the state dining room showcasing the mansion's South Politico and a glimpse at the private Yellow Oval Room. The design is courtesy of the French designer Hervé Pierre. “These moments remind us that the heart of America is strong and that Home is Where The Heart Is”, said the White House in a statement. State visits are often as much about the outfits as they are about official talks, and the recent visit of US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to the UK showcased just that. With a spotlight on hats, jewels, dresses, and tiaras, fashion diplomacy was in full effect.
Melania's Signature Hat and Classic Elegance
Known for her bold sartorial statements, Melania Trump opted for a wide-brimmed purple hat during day one of her visit to Windsor Castle. The dramatic piece concealed part of her face, signaling her focus on her husband’s agenda rather than drawing attention to herself. Paired with a sleek grey Dior suit, the look was both stylish and strategic, as stylist Marian Kwei pointed out. The colour-matching of her hat and Trump’s tie reflected her support for his policies during the visit, with Dior also symbolising America’s ties to Europe.
Burberry Trench: A Nod to British Fashion
On a later occasion, Melania embraced classic British style, wearing a floor-length Burberry trench coat with its signature lining peeking out. This sartorial choice, completed with boots and sunglasses, was interpreted as a diplomatic gesture. As Vanessa Friedman from The New York Times noted, such a choice demonstrated engagement with British culture and could be seen as an example of fashion diplomacy—an approach often used by first ladies. For her last UK state visit in 2019, Melania similarly combined British, European, and American designers in her wardrobe, signaling both support for the UK and her own fashion-forward stance.
The Royals' Coordinated Look in Blue and Burgundy
Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II made a statement in a striking sapphire blue dress, a matching Fiona Clare coat, and a Philip Treacy hat, accentuated by a sapphire and diamond brooch. It was a clear representation of her royal elegance, yet it also held subtle diplomatic meaning.
Princess of Wales: A Burgundy Statement
Princess Catherine, always a paragon of grace, wore a burgundy Emilia Wickstead dress, topped with a matching Jane Taylor hat. Her outfit, complete with a feather brooch, matched the Prince of Wales’s burgundy tie, showing solidarity and alignment with both her husband and the UK’s interests. This coordinated approach, observed by fashion experts like Marian Kwei, echoes Melania Trump’s own choice to match her husband. The use of colour is seen as a clear gesture of unity with the spouse’s agenda and also, as royal expert Victoria Murphy highlighted, a diplomatic message that aligns with the US flag’s red and blue. In this high-profile state visit, fashion choices were more than just aesthetic—they were woven with meaning, showing how clothing can subtly reflect political alliances and cultural respect.

They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger.""As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation's hope. As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few," said the FLOTUS. She stated that, "I am sure you agree, is that each generation's descendants begin their lives with a purity - an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology. Yet in today's world, some children are forced to carry a quiet laughter, untouched by the darkness around them — a silent defiance against the forces that can potentially claim their future."

"Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter." Calling on Putin to act beyond national interests, she added: "In protecting the innocence Of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone — you serve humanity itself." He reportedly said such action could “make them [Russia] feel the pain” and force Putin to the negotiating table. Trump has also threatened Russia with “very severe tariffs” unless a ceasefire agreement is reached within 50 days.

Trump on Monday admitted that First Lady Melania was the one who pointed out the contradiction between his conversations with Putin and Russia’s continued strikes on Ukraine.

Ukrainians have praised Melania Trump for reportedly playing a key role in changing Donald Trump’s position on Russia, calling her an “undercover agent” for Ukraine after his recent comments about Vladimir Putin. Speaking at the White House on Monday, Trump admitted it was his wife who pointed out the contradiction between his conversations with Putin and Russia’s continued strikes on Ukraine. I get home, I’d say, ‘First Lady, I had the most wonderful talk with Vladimir. I think we’re finished.’ And then I’d turn on the television, or she’ll say to me one time, ‘Well, that’s strange because they just bombed a nursing home.’" Watch | Russia-Ukraine war: Trump threatens 'severe tariffs' on Russia allies https://www.wionews.com/videos/russia-ukraine-war-trump-threatens-severe-tariffs-on-russia-allies-1752560035091/embed Trump’s comments quickly spread across pro-Ukrainian social media, where Melania was dubbed “Agent Melania Trumpenko”. Memes showed her in Ukrainian military gear, with one image placing her in a wide-brimmed hat and a jacket featuring the logo of Ukraine’s armed forces. “Lots of love for Melania Trump on Ukrainian social media tonight,” posted Business Ukraine Magazine, sharing a cartoon of characters presenting her with a traditional Ukrainian hat. Another user joked, “Melania singlehandedly doing more for Ukraine than the entire GOP.”
