India wrapped up the home five-match T20I series by winning the final game by six runs at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (Dec 3). Having already won the series with an unassailable 3-1 lead after the fourth T20I, Suryakumar Yadav-led India beat Matthew Wade's Australia by a whisker in defence of 160/8.

Being asked to bat first, India rode on Shreyas Iyer's 53 and vital runs from Jitesh Sharma and Axar Patel to post 160/8. In reply,&nbsp;Ben McDermott top-scored for the Aussies with a fine 54 but it was not enough.&nbsp;Arshdeep Singh defended 10 runs in the last over, with visitors managing&nbsp;154/8,&nbsp;to take his side to a 4-1 series triumph. After the series, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra opined on India's performance and made a big claim with regard to the Men in Blue's potential squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, in West Indies and USA.

Chopra feels there might be a toss-up between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill for India's T20 WC squad. Gaikwad ended as the top-scorer in the five T20Is, scoring&nbsp;223 runs&nbsp;at an average of 55.75 with a best of 123*.&nbsp;

Chopra lauded Gaikwad for being among runs and said on his YouTube channel, "Ruturaj Gaikwad - he said that he is there. Ruturaj is going to have stiff competition because Shubman Gill also plays like that. Rohit Sharma will also come now. So suddenly you will feel that you aren't even able to pick two among the three. So these runs were necessary."

Veteran Indian off-spinner R Ashwin opened up on not being a part of India's playing XI for the ODI World Cup 2023 final, versus Australia, on Nov 19 at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Ashwin played only one game in India's memorable WC campaign, which ended in a defeat in the final, and many thought he would be considered for the summit clash. However, he continued to sit out.&nbsp;

Ashwin said he supported Rohit Sharma's move, adding that the Indian captain had no reason to tweak the winning combination heading into the final.

India won 10&nbsp;games on the trot entering the final and Ashwin, who was out of the playing XI after India's tournament opener versus Australia, had little chance of coming in as a replacement.

<h2>'If I had been in Rohit's shoes, I would have thought 100 times...'</h2>

Speaking to S Badrinath on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said, "As far as I am concerned, I playing the final, team combination and all that is secondary. Firstly, it's about empathy, I keep stressing it a lot. It's about standing in someone else's shoes and looking at things from his/her viewpoint. If I had been in Rohit's shoes, I would have thought 100 times about changing the combination. It was going very well for the team. Why would I rest a fast bowler and play 3 spinners?"

I was not replying to a lot of people. I read only the ticker of WhatsApp messages and kept my phone away. I&nbsp;was preparing myself well for the opportunity. At the same time, I was prepared to cheer for the team and run in with electral if I didn't get the opportunity. I was mentally prepared for that too."

India are set to tour South Africa for an all-format tour, starting on Dec 10. The tour comprises three T20Is and ODIs each and will end with a two-match Test series, early next year. Ahead of the announcement of the squads for the upcoming SA tour, reports have emerged that Suryakumar Yadav is&nbsp;a frontrunner to lead India in T20Is in the African nation. At present, Surya is leading a second-stringed Indian team in the five T20Is versus Australia at home, with the hosts leading 2-1 after three games.&nbsp;

As per a report&nbsp;filed by news agency&nbsp;PTI, Surya is emerging as the top candidate to take charge of the T20I side during the forthcoming tour amid uncertainty over Rohit Sharma&nbsp;and Hardik Pandya's absence due to injury. After India's ODI World Cup final loss, Rohit has been out of action and his continued non-participation from T20Is -- since the last T20 World Cup -- has raised doubts on his future in the format. Certain reports have also indicated that BCCI remains keen to have him as the full-time captain but if he remains reluctant, SKY will lead with no Hardik -- who is still recovering from an ankle injury.

Ruturaj Gaikwad slammed his first-ever international ton during India's third T20I, of the five-match series, versus Australia in Guwahati. Suryakumar Yadav-led India were asked to bat first and the home side rode on Gaikwad's majestic 123 not out, off 57 balls, to post a challenging 222 for 3. However, the home side could not defend the score as Glenn Maxwell's 104 not out, off 48 balls, took his side to a memorable five-wicket win on the last ball to keep the series alive. India still lead 2-1 but missed out on taking an unassailable 3-0 lead despite Gaikwad's hundred.

After the match, former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra heaped praise on Gaikwad and feels he will represent India in all three forms of the game.&nbsp;"Everybody knows what kind of a player he is (Ruturaj Gaikwad). When you talk about Yashasvi Jaiswal, his game is completely different compared to Ruturaj Gaikwad's. You need solidity in the T20 format as well and that's what Gaikwad brings to the table. There's no doubt that Ruturaj Gaikwad is a three-format player for India," Nehra said on Jio Cinema.

"The kind of elegance that Ruturaj Gaikwad shows is unbelievable, amazing and it was (century in 2nd T20I) a great, great, great knock," Nehra concluded. Gaikwad slammed his maiden ton in his 21st international match, however, it came at a losing cause as Indian bowlers could not defend the score due to the dew factor.&nbsp;

After riding on Gaikwad's 123*, India was in control with Australia in a spot of bother at 134 for 5 in 13.3 overs in pursuit of 223. However, Maxwell -- who conceded 30 runs in India's final over -- produced yet another masterclass as he stitched an unbroken 91-run sixth-wicket stand to take his side home. The right-hander slammed his second T20I ton, which was laced with 8 fours and an equal number of sixes at a strike rate of 216.67.

The action now moves to the fourth and penultimate T20I, which will be held in Raipur on Friday (Dec 1).

IND vs AUS, 3rd T20I: Ruturaj Gaikwad can play all three formats for India - Ashish Nehra's big claim

India's young batter Tilak Varma wants to finish games for the team and has been learning the art from Rinku Singh. The batter made the comments on the eve of second T20I against Australia in Thiruvananthapuram on November 25. India had won the first match by two wickets and Tilak scored 12 runs in the game while Rinku finished it with 14-ball 22.

"I like finishing the games," he said. "I am learning [that] from Rinku as he has been doing it very consistently, even for the Indian team. I think in the coming matches I will be doing that."

Chasing 209, India needed 75 of 7.3 overs when Tilak walked in to bat. He did hit Aussie leg spinner Tanveer Sangha for couple of fours but got out while trying to be aggressive.&nbsp;

"I was batting at No. 5 in the last game, so my mindset was if it is in my arc, I will go for it. Otherwise, I will just rotate [the strike]," said Tilak about his innings.

The left-hand batter, however, is not keeping any expectation with himself and is just looking to fulfill the&nbsp;role given to him by the team.

"My mindset is clear. I have got a role in the team, so I just want to stick to that role. I don't have any pressure or expectations of doing well. I am just looking forward to fulfilling my role for the team," said the batter.

Tilak came to limelight with his IPL performances for Mumbai Indians. In the two seasons he has played in the league, the batter has scored 740 runs in 25 games. While he scored 397 runs in 14 games at an average of 36 in his debut season in 2022, he managed 343 runs in 2023 season at a much healthier average of 42.

Tilak, along with other fringe players like Rinku and Jitesh, has been given a chance in Australia series as seniors are given a rest post ODI World Cup 2023.

India were thoroughly outplayed in the ODI World Cup 2023 final by Australia as the Kangaroos added another 50-over title to their world-record tally of five. The Indian batters, who were as dominant as anybody throughout the tournament could manage only 240 runs on a pitch which they probably misread completely.

On a sunny afternoon in Ahmedabad on November 19, they hoped for the pitch to become difficult to bat as the day wore on but that didn't happen. Even a little peak in the four games prior to the final would have told them that it won't be happening. Yet, Rohit Sharma said he 'would have batted first anyway.'&nbsp;

Australia, on the other hand, were spot on as their skipper decided to bowl first as they had done their homework. They had studied the ground, the players, the pitch and the players. And, the results are out for everyone to see.

The toss is something which isn't in anyone's control, but batting is.

Rohit was once again the trendsetter - scoring 47 off 30 at a strike rate of 156. He then decided to play a big shot - even though he had hit last two balls for a four and a six - and got out. But he can't be blamed as he has batted like that in the whole tournament - scoring 401 of his 597 runs in the powerplay at a strike rate of 135.

The question is, after taking 10 runs off the two balls - was it required to go big again the&nbsp;same&nbsp;over? His dismissal changed the game for India and after that just four boundaries were hit in the next 40 overs - just four.

Anyway, Virat Kohli, who amassed 765 runs in the World Cup - the most ever in an edition, was on the crease. He tried his favourite shot to rotate strike - guiding the ball towards third man,&nbsp;but misread the ball and it hit the stumps.

India managed 92 runs more in the next 21.3 overs - which is 129 balls - if they had rotated the strike a bit more and got those 20 extra runs - may be it would have made the difference or may be it wouldn't have but that was some timid batting from them.

And as it often happens, the side which is braver, wins the match - in this case - Australia - who won their record sixth title.

ODI World Cup 2023: India found short of insights at home against well-prepared Australia

India broke a long-standing record of Australia as soon as it reached fifty in 6.3 overs of the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia on November 19 in Ahmedabad. The 50 by India is now the fastest by any team in an ODI World Cup final, going past Australia's record of 6.6 overs which they had set back in 2003 final against India.

India reached the fifty in emphatic style too as Virat Kohli smacked Mitchell Starc for three consecutive fours on the first three balls of the seventh over of the innings. It was, however, largely thanks to India skipper Rohit Sharma's belligerent batting that India reached the landmark in 6.3 overs.

Rohit contributed 32 off 21 balls in the first 50 runs of the team with the help of three fours and two sixes and kept the momentum going despite Shubman Gill's wicket. Australia had struck as early as in the fifth over to draw the first blood.

Earlier, India lost the toss and were asked to bat first by Australia skipper Pat Cummins. Rohit, nonetheless, said that he would have batted first anyway. After a silent first over, Rohit hit Josh Hazlewood for couple of boundaries to get things going.&nbsp;

India were looking good after a score of 76 in 9.3 overs before Rohit Sharma was caught out on 47 while trying too many a shot. India lost Shreyas Iyer in the next over too and the crowd at Narendra Modi stadium went silent after two quick wickets by Australia.

Kohli and KL Rahul started the rebuild process for India as the duo added 67 runs before Kohli was bowled off an inside edge in the 29the over. Kohli, before getting out, scored 54 runs - his ninth 50+ score in 11 innings. India were 149/4 in 29 overs by the time of writing this report.

Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has revealed that he doesn't really talk to India star Virat Kohli as much, as the latter is busy with cricket. The revelation comes after Yuvraj said that he's not really good friends with former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni either.&nbsp;

Talking on TRS Podcast, Yuvraj, when asked if he talks to Kohli often, said: “Not really.”&nbsp;

Explaining the reason, Yuvraj said: “I don't disturb him as he is busy. Young Virat Kohli's name was Cheeku. Today's Cheeku is Virat Kohli, there's a big difference,” he added.

Kohli and Yuvraj have always had good camaraderie during their playing days and Yuvraj even praised Kohli for setting the benchmark for fitness in the team during his stint as the Indian skipper.

Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah these 3 players were making comebacks after injury, and they were given the confidence that they were a part of this team, and that the team believes&nbsp;in their abilities, and that they would get opportunities."

'I believe his USP is...': Former Indian batter all praise for Rohit Sharma as India remain unbeaten in ODI WC

In the enchanting world of cricket, where the leather sphere gracefully courts the timber stage, Mohammed Shami is the maestro of thundering pace, unwavering precision and mesmerising swing. He weaves his artistry, leaving batsmen in a state of bewilderment, their citadels, the stumps, in splendid disarray.&nbsp;

In a resounding crescendo of success, Shami etched his name in the annals of World Cup history. With a magnificent fifer against Sri Lanka in Mumbai, he claimed the title of India's leading wicket-taker in the World Cup. He has bagged 14 wickets in the only three matches he played in this tournament, at an impressive&nbsp;average of 6.71.

This marks his second five-wicket haul in this tournament, following his earlier brilliance against New Zealand in Dharamsala. His secret recipe for triumph? It's about finding rhythm, hitting the right areas, maintaining an uncluttered mind, and most significantly, feeding off the boundless love of the people.

Much akin to Arjuna's unwavering gaze upon the eye of the elusive fish, Mohammed Shami's focus is resolute, aimed squarely at the wickets standing 22 yards away. He is the embodiment of tenacity, an unwavering spirit undistracted by the personal demons that once loomed in his path. Calm, composed and unflinching, he stands prepared to conquer any challenge that ventures forth.

India, now the first team to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals, celebrated a hero who is not just a bowler but a symbol of unwavering resolve. In the grand theatre of cricket, where each ball is a stage and every match a story, Shami is the luminary guiding India's epic. His tale is not only of wickets taken but of spirits unbroken, where every delivery is a vow to vanquish, vindicate, and celebrate the vigilant and virtuous.

However, Shami's voyage to the zenith was no serene sail. He navigated turbulent waters, overcoming numerous hurdles and hardships with unwavering dedication and resolve. His tale is one of rekindled faith, a chronicle of unwavering struggle, now crowned with triumph.

Born in the tranquil village of Sahaspur, Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, cricket was a rare melody in those parts. His father, Tauseef Ahmed, a farmer with a deep love for the game, yearned for his son Shami to embrace cricket as his calling. Each day, he peddled 30 kilometres, ensuring his son received coaching in a neighbouring town, and pursued his passion.

Shami's gift as a fast bowler unfurled from a tender age. Yet, opportunities in his hometown were sparse. He made a resolute decision to leave his roots and move to Kolkata, where he would eventually earn his "spikes."

In Kolkata, he found refuge at the Dalhousie Athletic Club which is about a kilometre from the hallowed ground of Eden Gardens. There the rookie fast bowler met his first mentor, Badruddin Siddique. Sculpted by Siddique's wisdom, Shami honed his skills and technique. The young bowler's journey continued with a stint in Bengal's domestic cricket, where his pace and swing astounded all who witnessed it.

It was here that Dav Whatmore, the former Australian coach, and Wasim Akram, one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time, spotted his raw talent and would later champion him to the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.

At KKR, Shami had the privilege of learning from one of his idols, Wasim Akram, the team's bowling coach. The "Sultan of Swing" imparted invaluable wisdom on variations, control, and the art of keeping one's cool in pressure-laden moments.

Shami's induction into the Indian national team came in 2013, and rapidly, he became an indispensable presence across all formats. He played a pivotal role in India's campaigns in the 2015 World Cup and the 2017 Champions Trophy, frequently delivering crucial breakthroughs when the stakes were at their highest.

In 2021, he etched his name in the annals of Test cricket, becoming a distinguished member of the esteemed 200-wicket club.

In 2018, Shami found himself trapped in a maelstrom of allegations, accused of both rape and match-fixing by his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan.

The storm of controversy and the relentless media glare threatened to finish his career. Depression and the spectre of suicidal thoughts loomed large during this tumultuous period, casting a long shadow over his mental well-being and performance.

Yet, Shami refused to be vanquished by his circumstances. With unwavering courage and unshakeable determination, he exonerated himself of all charges, proving his innocence.

Seeking professional help and drawing strength from family and friends, he confronted the demons that had besieged him. He returned to the cricketing arena, rekindled and reignited; his trials relegated to the past.

He toiled with zeal on his fitness and form, emerging as a swifter, fitter version of his former self. His bowling arsenal expanded, unveiling new skills and variations, including the devastating yorker and reverse swing.

His deliveries were executed with ruthless precision, transforming him into a relentless scourge for batsmen.

Shami's triumphant journey in this World Cup was marked by patience. Initially left on the bench for the first four matches, as the team management favoured other bowlers, he bore no resentment.

In an interview, he expressed his readiness for the opportunity that would eventually come his way, stating, "I was prepared when my moment arrived. When it did, I was determined to give my best for my team and my country."

His unyielding spirit and relentless determination have borne fruit in the World Cup of 2023. Mohammed Shami has emerged as India's most formidable weapon in the realm of cricket, the driving force behind their resounding victories.

In the enchanting world of cricket, where the leather sphere gracefully courts the timber stage, Mohammed Shami is the maestro of thundering pace, unwavering precision and mesmerising swing.

In the enchanting world of cricket, where the leather sphere gracefully courts the timber stage, Mohammed Shami is the maestro of thundering pace, unwavering precision and mesmerising swing. He weaves his artistry, leaving batsmen in a state of bewilderment, their citadels, the stumps, in splendid disarray. In a resounding crescendo of success, Shami etched his name in the annals of World Cup history. With a magnificent fifer against Sri Lanka in Mumbai, he claimed the title of India's leading wicket-taker in the World Cup. He has bagged 14 wickets in the only three matches he played in this tournament, at an impressive average of 6.71. He made a resolute decision to leave his roots and move to Kolkata, where he would eventually earn his "spikes." Swing, seam and pace: Rise of Mohammed Shami as India's highest wicket-taker in ODI World Cup history

India faced England in match 29 of the ODI World Cup 2023 edition on Sunday (Oct 29) in Lucknow. After five back-to-back wins, Rohit Sharma-led India locked horns with the defending champions in a bid to regain the top spot in the points table with their sixth victory on the trot. Being asked to bat first, the home side were in a spot of bother at 40 for 3, further reduced to 164 for 5, before posting 229 for 9. In the second innings, Rohit &amp; Co. rode on Jasprit Bumrah's 3 for 32, Kuldeep Yadav's 2 for 24 and Mohammed Shami's 4 for 22 to dismiss the 2019 winners for a paltry 129 in 34.5 overs.&nbsp;

With another convincing win, India have regained the top spot in the points table -- moving past South Africa -- and remain the only unbeaten side in the 10-team tournament. While India have one foot in the semi-finals, here is how the home side can still NOT qualify for the next round:

India have been the best side in the tournament but Sri Lanka and Afghanistan can spoil their party. Both the Asian sides have four points from five games. This means one or both of them can match India's current tally (12 points) if India lose their remaining three games by a convincing margin. Thus, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka -- both of whom have locked horns in Pune on Monday (Oct 30) in match 30 -- will need to win all their four games at any cost.&nbsp;

At the same time, just one more point -- or if the Afghanistan-Sri Lanka clash is washed out -- will secure a place for India in the top four. They will now gear up to lock horns with Sri Lanka in their next outing, i.e. match 33 of the mega event which will be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.&nbsp;

After the England win, captain Rohit said at the post-match presentation, "This was the game, a lot of character&nbsp;in the squad. When the times were tough, all our experienced players stood up at the right time and got the game for us."

ODI World Cup 2023: India can still MISS out on SEMI-FINAL berth despite big win over England - Here's how

India are currently on a roll in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 with five wins in five games and pacer Mohammed Siraj says this the the result of last couple of years of hard work. India have been in prime form since the Asia Cup 2023 which was played in ODI format to help the teams prepare. After India won the Asia Cup, they also won the ODI series against Australia.

Siraj, while speaking after India's last win against New Zealand in Dharamsala, spoke to the ICC and said: "This is the hard work of 1-2 years and now we are seeing the unity in ODI squad."&nbsp;

"We were playing Tests and T20s and the team was shaping up nicely. There is unity and care in the ODI squad now and happiness for each other's success the result of which are visible on the ground," he added.

Siraj also said that the momentum is on their side and it calls for a celebration as this is the world cup.

"We have won five times in a row so the momentum is on our side so the celebration is must because this the World Cup not a bilateral series," Siraj added.

Talking about ace India batter Virat Kohli, Siraj said that he's been batting like a king and we have been seeing that for long now.

"Virat has batted like a king, and a run machine as they call and we have been seeing that for long now," he said after India beat New Zealand because of Kohli's 95.

Virat also is India's leading run getter in the ODI World Cup 2023 with 354 runs to his name in five innings. Skipper Rohit Sharma is right behind him with 311 runs in five innings. The performance of senior batters has ensured that others have enough time to take India home even after Rohit and Virat depart.

ODI World Cup 2023: Mohammed Siraj reveals REASON for India's five wins in a row

Former Indian opener-turned-commentator Gautam Gambhir has asked Babar Azam to be more aggressive with the bat as Pakistan seek a turnaround in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup in India. At present, Pakistan are outside the top four, at the fifth spot, with two wins and equal number of defeats. Ahead of their ongoing clash versus Afghanistan, Gambhir schooled Babar to lead the charge for Pakistan with some aggressive batting.&nbsp;

Talking on Star Sports, Gambhir said, "Babar Azam is under pressure, the entire team is under pressure. Babar has to deliver, because he has the reputation, he has class, he has ability. I picked Babar Azam in the top 5, I backed him to score 3-4 centuries on the pitches in India. Babar has the ability to do it even now."

<h2>'The way he played against India, it&nbsp;put more pressure on other batters'</h2>

Gambhir further opined, "He has to score runs and make his team win because if he scored 50 off 60 or 70 balls or scored 80 off 120 balls, there is no use. The way he played against India, it gave me an impression that he put more pressure on the rest of the batting unit and he did not release the pressure." He added, "If you want the team to play aggressive cricket, you have to lead from the front. Babar has to play freely, he has to play out-of-the-box cricket, and even out-of-the-box captaincy if Pakistan is to make the semi-final."

So far, Babar has had a mixed run in the ODI World Cup. He has two fifties in five outings, including the 74 versus Afghanistan, but has often been criticised for his strike rate. He is striking at&nbsp;79.69 in the current ten-team tournament with two half-centuries under his belt. It will be interesting to see if he tweaks his batting method and bats more aggressively in the upcoming games.

At present, Pakistan is defending a challenging 282/7 versus Afghanistan in match 22 of the ODI World Cup in Chennai on Monday (Oct 23).&nbsp;

'His contribution will be remembered forever': Cricket fraternity mourns death of legend Bishan Singh Bedi

India will be looking to continue their unbeaten run when they take on Bangladesh in the ODI World Cup on October 19 in Pune. This will be the fourth game in the tournament for both teams as they near the halfway mark&nbsp;of their campaign. India clearly have the upper hand going into the match with three wins in three games while Bangladesh will aim to improve their record from 2-1 in three games to 2-2 in four.

The Bangladesh team is capable of causing an upset and India would know it from the humiliating defeat of the 2007 ODI World Cup. The Indian team in 2023, however, looks unstoppable and leading their charge is skipper Rohit Sharma from the front.

There are many marquee players to look for in the game, namely Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah from India and Shakib Al Hasan, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz from Bangladesh.

With Rohit in prime form with the bat, it would be crucial for Bangladesh to take him out early because once the Indian skipper gets going, he can change the game on his own. Apart from Rohit, Kohli would also be an important wicket for Bangladesh. Mehidy Hasan has been a revelation for his team since his debut and his performance with the ball, along with Shakib, will matter the most if Bangladesh were to win the game against India.

While bowling, Jasprit Bumrah would be key for India along with other bowlers, including Kuldeep Yadav. Taking wickets upfront is going to be a huge advantage for India. Bangladesh's batting responsibilities, meanwhile, will lie on Shakib, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan as well.

With decent middle-order batters, Bangladesh can pose a threat to India and on their day, can cause an upset as well. But given the form India are in, they are favourites to register their fourth win on the trot. The game starts at 2:00 pm local time with the toss scheduled to take place at 1:30 pm at the MCA stadium in Pune.

<h2>Here are the predicted XI for both teams:</h2>

India: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah

Bangladesh: Litton Das, Tanzid Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam

ODI World Cup 2023: India juggernaut reaches Pune to face Bangladesh | Match preview and result prediction

Rohit Sharma-led India opened their campaign in the ongoing home ODI World Cup with a comfortable win over five-time winners Australia in match 5 on Sunday (Oct 8) in Chennai. Chasing 200, India were 2 for 3 before Virat Kohli's 85 and KL Rahul's sublime 97* took India home with six wickets, and 52 balls, to spare.&nbsp;

Ahead of India's second game, where they lock&nbsp;horns with Afghanistan in New Delhi on Wednesday (Oct 11), former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh opened up on India's middle-order and made a big claim.

In the last World Cup, held in England and Wales in 2019, there was immense talk on India's middle-order -- especially who will bat at No. 4. Their shaky middle and lower order resulted in their semi-final loss versus New Zealand.

This time around, India had a lot of time finalising their middle order (due to several injuries) but now have a settled line-up.

However, Yuvraj feels Kohli and Rahul have handled the bulk of scoring as No. 6 and No. 7 have not been tested yet.&nbsp;

Responding to WION&nbsp;during a presser&nbsp;in the national capital on Tuesday (Oct 10), Yuvi said on the middle-order, "I thought they were playing well in 2019 but pressure came in the big game (in the semi-finals). Pressure will come in big games only."

He opined, "I don't think the middle order has been tested properly so far. Virat bats at 3 and KL bats at 5. Batting hasn't come at 6 and 7. So others have not been tested. We need to absorb the pressure really well."

Yuvraj, along with Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag, was present for an event (by EO Gurgaon) held primarily to recall India's 2011 World Cup triumph.

<h2>JADEJA TO WIN POTT IN CWC '23?</h2>

Later in the event, Yuvraj was asked by a fan who could replicate his CWC '11 performance, where he ended as the Player of the Tournament, and win the big prize this time around. To this, the veteran named Ravindra Jadeja.&nbsp;

While the superstar cricketer named Rohit, Kohli, Shubman Gill (who is currently unwell) and Hardik Pandya as well, he finally went with Jadeja.

Yuvraj feels Jadeja's spin will be handy, which was the case versus Australia where he ended with 3 for 28. Jadeja's batting lower down the order will also be crucial to India's chances.&nbsp;

At present, India are up against Afghanistan and have lost the toss. Afghanistan have opted to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.&nbsp;

CWC '23: Our middle-order not tested properly, feels Yuvraj; names THIS Indian who can win POTT award

Ruturaj Gaikwad-led India opened their campaign in Asian Games 2023 with a 23-run win over Nepal on Tuesday (October 3). Riding on Yashasvi Jaiswal's maiden T20I ton (49-ball 100) and Rinku Singh's 15-ball 37 not out, India posted 202 for 4 and restricted the opposition to 179 for 9. With the win, India have progressed to the semi-finals. Jaiswal continued his rich form and scored his first-ever T20I century. In addition, he surpassed Shubman Gill to achieve a major Indian record.&nbsp;

Jaiswal, at the age of 21 years and 279 days, went past Gill's T20I record of being India's youngest-ever centurion in the shortest format. It is to be noted that the right-hander scored his maiden T20I hundred against New Zealand early this year. The 24-year-old Gill&nbsp;had smashed an impressive 126 not out, the highest individual score by an Indian in the format. Back then, Gill was 23 years old.

Talking about Jaiswal, the left-hander has been in sublime form this year. He ended IPL 2023 as the fifth-highest run-getter (with 625 runs in 14 games, including a best of 124). He carried his form during India's all-format tour of West Indies, slamming an impressive 171 on his Test debut and was among the runs in the five T20Is as well. Now, the youngster has started the Asian Games with a bang. Hence, he will be desperate to carry on with the momentum and take India to gold at the games -- where he also became the country's first-ever centurion on Tuesday.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jaiswal is surely ticking all the boxes at the moment and is emerging as a strong contender to open for India in the next year's T20 World Cup, in West Indies and the USA. However, the mega event is still far away, hence, he would like to maintain consistency in the upcoming months.

India vs Nepal, Asian Games: Yashasvi Jaiswal breaks Shubman Gill's India record after maiden T20I ton

India will start their campaign in the CWC 2023 edition on October 8 (Sunday) when they face Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. While India ticked most of the boxes in the Asia Cup and home ODIs versus Australia, Rohit Sharma &amp; Co. would be concerned with Ravindra Jadeja's batting struggles. Jadeja has not made a solid impression in the limited opportunities in recent times&nbsp;while batting down the order. He has not scored a half-century in the ODI format since 2020. However, Little Master Sunil Gavaskar isn't concerned with Jadeja's low returns and mentions a key aspect of Jadeja.&nbsp;

In response to a question from Hindustan Times, Gavaskar stated, "Not really. With the kind of experience that he has, it's not a worry. The important thing is that he is such a fast runner between the wickets. Often, we overlook it… the fact that from the non-striker end, he helps the batter convert ones into twos. So, I think those are the little things that are important. So yeah, I am not worried after Ravindra Jadeja at all. He is a top player, a wonderful player… rockstar, like Shane Warne once said."

Batting mostly at No. 7 or 8, Jadeja has played some vital knocks down the order but has not made a significant contribution. In the third and final ODI between India and Australia, in Rajkot on September 27, the 34-year-old all-rounder had a chance to get some runs under his belt and regain confidence, given India were out of the contest reeling at 249 for 6 in pursuit of a mammoth 353. However, the left-hander was seen struggling to get momentum and returned for a 36-ball 35.

The star all-rounder will be vital for India in the upcoming ODI World Cup at home. Not only with the ball, Jadeja will be needed with the bat as well -- down the order -- as Rohit-Rahul Dravid-led team management has often preferred batting depth.&nbsp;

The CWC 2023 edition kicks off on October 5 (Thursday) with defending champions England taking on New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, Ahmedabad.&nbsp;

India will start their campaign in the CWC 2023 edition on October 8 (Sunday) when they face Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. While India ticked most of the boxes in the Asia Cup and home ODIs versus Australia, Rohit Sharma & Co. would be concerned with Ravindra Jadeja's batting struggles. Jadeja has not made a solid impression in the limited opportunities in recent times while batting down the order. He has not scored a half-century in the ODI format since 2020. However, Little Master Sunil Gavaskar isn't concerned with Jadeja's low returns and mentions a key aspect of Jadeja. He is a top player, a wonderful player… rockstar, like Shane Warne once said." CWC 2023: Sunil Gavaskar reacts to Ravindra Jadeja's batting woes, points out 'little things' in his support

Rohit Sharma-led India open their campaign in CWC 2023 on October 8 (Sunday) when they face Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Ahead of India's tournament opener, former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar feels the Indian captain can play the accumulator role, rather than being the aggressor at the top, in the mega event as it will help him score daddy hundreds he is known for. In the recent past, especially since taking over as the Indian captain, Rohit has often tried to go hard at the top to help India start aggressively. However, he has often paid the price for losing his wicket after getting starts.&nbsp;

Thus, Bangar feels Rohit should play the accumulator's role in the upcoming marquee event, which kicks off on October 5 (Thursday) with defending champions England taking on New Zealand.&nbsp;

"I feel the one of an accumulator (on what role should he play?). He is someone who has had phenomenal success as an ODI player. And many times that he has scored his hundred, it's around the 30th over. All those 3 double hundreds that we speak of and rave of so much, the acceleration came toward the last 10-12 overs where he just toys with the bowling," Bangar told Star Sports in response to a question from India Today.

Bangar further pointed out, "So a dangerous Rohit Sharma, if he gets to that 35-over mark, then India is assured of a score of around 350. If he sticks to that sort of a template&nbsp;I know he is trying to do certain other things, maybe take the game away from the bowlers, but he has got a phenomenal, fearless Shubman Gill, he can afford to play the accumulator which will guarantee that India will get a big total. Everyone wants to bat long and score those 150s and 170s. I still want to do that, but it is always nice to do something that you have not done. It only adds up to your list of batting abilities. Unless you do it, you won't know it.

''I know if I play high-risk shots, I will get out a few times but I didn't bother. This was communicated by me to the management that this is how I want to play," the former Indian opener added.&nbsp;

It will be interesting to see if Rohit takes on the bowlers from the word go in the World Cup or starts cautiously before going berserk. Having led India to the Asia Cup title last month, he will be confident leading India in the ICC event. India will look to win their third ODI World Cup and also end their ten-year-long ICC title drought.&nbsp;

CWC '23: Rohit can afford to play the accumulator role and score big hundreds, feels former India batter

Shubman Gill has been in exceptional form in 2023. The right-hander has had a dream run across formats, slamming his maiden T20I ton as well, but his form in ODIs made heads turn. The opener has so far slammed as many as five centuries this year and enters the forthcoming ODI World Cup as the No. 2 ranked batter in ICC ODI Rankings. The star opener ended as the Player-of-the-Series in India's three ODIs versus Australia, which ended on Wednesday (September 27), and will start the 50-over mega event on a positive note.

Ahead of India's CWC 2023 opener, where they lock horns with Australia on October 8 in Chennai, former Indian all-rounder and 2011 World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh has made a bold claim on his statesman. Yuvraj feels Gill has it in him to become the 'best player of this generation'.

Speaking to The Week, Yuvraj was all praise for the talented opener and said, "Shubman Gill has the potential to become the best player of this generation. The guy works hard. Since he was 19-20, his attitude has always been like that. He works four times harder than a normal guy since he was a kid. Whatever I have worked with him, he can be the player of this era."

"He (Gill) scored 91 in a Test match which India won (versus Australia in Gabba). He scored two fifties as well on his first tour to Australia which I don't know how many players have done. I am sure he will score runs in Australia, South Africa as well as England."

The 41-year-old Yuvraj opined on Gill's role in the upcoming 50-over showpiece event in India. "He (Gill) is in such a stage right now that he is fearless. He can be a game-changer for India in the World Cup. He opened up the game against Pakistan and put the bowlers under pressure."

The marquee tournament kicks off on October 5 with defending champions England taking on New Zealand in Ahmedabad. Talking about India, they will rely on Gill's form, the experience of captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, etc. to go the distance in the 2023 edition.&nbsp;

Shubman Gill has potential to become best player of this generation: Yuvraj Singh's BIG claim ahead of CWC '23

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has backed KL Rahul to bat at No. 4 during the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup at home. Rahul has been in superb form ever since he returned to international cricket during Asia Cup 2023 following a lengthy injury layoff. He scored a brilliant 111 not out versus Pakistan in the Super Four round, followed by a vital 39 versus Sri Lanka. In the recently-concluded India-Australia ODIs, Rahul returned with 58 not out, 52 and 26. He has batted at No. 4 in four out of the last seven games and Yuvraj has backed him to bat at the crucial spot in the mega event.&nbsp;

Speaking to the Week, Yuvraj suggested that India should make Rahul bat at No. 4 and give him 15-20 games at that position. “India want K.L. Rahul to bat at No. 4 now. They have to give him 15-20 games in that position. In the Asia Cup, coming back from injury, he scored a 100. On a spinning track [in Colombo, against Sri Lanka] he scored a vital 39 runs. He is looking good right now, so they need to stick with him at No. 4," the 2011 ODI World Cup winner said.

Yuvraj highlighted the important of the No. 4 spot, which has been India's Achilles heel since the last edition of the 50-over World Cup. He added, "No. 4 is a crucial position, especially if the openers get out cheaply. No. 4 batsman needs to have the technique to leave the ball, play the short ball well, and try and build partnerships.”

The 41-year-old batted at No. 4 in 108 matches during his illustrious career and understands the importance of the position. Speaking about India's batting order, it might be tough for Rahul to bat at No. 4 as Shreyas Iyer has been looked upon to fulfill the role at the said spot. Rahul, meanwhile, will most likely bat at No. 5 throughout the upcoming ODI World Cup. He has fared brilliantly at No. 4 and 5.&nbsp;

At No. 4, Rahul averages an exceptional 60 and 50 at No. 5. Such has been his performance&nbsp;at both the positions that he effortlessly fits in the middle-order. Thus, he will be an important player for India in the upcoming showpiece event.

World Cup 2023: India need to stick with KL Rahul at No. 4, feels 2011 WC winner Yuvraj Singh

Despite losing the third and final ODI, on Wednesday (September 27),&nbsp;India had a lot of positives coming out from their just-concluded three ODIs versus Australia at home. In their last series prior to the CWC 2023 edition, which starts on October 05, India tested their benched players once again and also gave two games to R Ashwin, who returned to the ODI setup after a long gap -- having played his last in early 2022 -- with Axar Patel being injured during the Asia Cup.

Ashwin replaced Axar -- who is dealing with&nbsp;a left quadriceps strain -- and played the opening two encounters to account for four wickets. He looked in good rhythm&nbsp;but suspense persists regarding his World Cup spot as no official update has come on Axar's fitness. All teams have to announce their final 15 prior to September 28 and any changes after that date would need&nbsp;approval from the ICC. With suspense continuing on Ashwin's place, head coach Rahul Dravid revealed there are 'no changes' as of now on the final 15, which was announced early this month.&nbsp;

“We have to wait for an official confirmation or a decision on that. The NCA is in touch with the selectors and Ajit (Agarkar) so I will not make any comments on that. If there is any change you will get to hear about it officially, as of now there are no changes,"&nbsp;Dravid said in a press conference after the India-Australia ODIs on Wednesday.

After the Rajkot ODI, Dravid stated that he is 'really happy' with how things have shaped up for Team India with regard to their CWC 2023 preparations. "Jasprit got a couple of games, and bowled his quota of 10 overs. Siraj suffered from a bug but got back and was able to bowl today. It was good to see how Ashwin bowled in the first two games. KL and his keeping through 50 overs, returning after 6 months, has been great. Shreyas has got some good knocks in the last couple of games. Really happy with how things are going and hopefully we can keep the momentum going into the World Cup."

<section itemprop="articleBody">
Dravid added, "There are always areas you want to improve on, and we have ticked a lot of boxes. It's nice to see that the guys who have been out with injury, been away from a while, from our perspective, they've been able to get some good cricket, been able to spend time in the middle, get some runs, take some wickets, but there are always little things that you can improve."

India have reached Guwahati on Thursday evening (September 28), with Ashwin in the squad, for the two warm-up games -- on September 30 (versus England) and October 03 (versus the Netherlands in Trivandrum).

'As of now....': Rahul Dravid on whether R Ashwin will be part of India's CWC '23 squad

After an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three ODIs versus Australia, India entered the third and final match&nbsp;in Rajkot with an aim to inflict a clean sweep on Wednesday (September 27). However, Rohit Sharma-led India conceded the game by 66 runs in what was both the sides' last international outing before the CWC 2023 edition, which starts on October 05.

Being asked to bowl, India conceded 352 for 5 as Australia rode on Mitchell Marsh's 96, Steve Smith's 74, Marnus Labuschagne's 72 and David Warner's 56. In reply, India started off on a positive note with fifties from Rohit (81) and Virat Kohli (56) before losing their way to get all-out for 286 in 49.4 overs. After the game, India's head coach Rahul Dravid summed up India's CWC '23 preparations and feels 'really happy' with how things have been for the home side heading into the marquee event.

After an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three ODIs versus Australia, India entered the third and final match in Rajkot with an aim to inflict a clean sweep on Wednesday (September 27). "Jasprit got a couple of games, and bowled his quota of 10 overs. Siraj suffered from a bug but got back and was able to bowl today. It was good to see how Ashwin bowled in the first two games. KL and his keeping through fifty overs, returning after 6 months, has been great. Shreyas has got some good knocks in the last couple of games. Really happy with how things are going and hopefully we can keep the momentum going into the World Cup." Also read: Ind vs Aus: Jasprit Bumrah ends with his second-most expensive spell in Rajkot ODI Dravid further stated, "There are always areas you want to improve on, and we have ticked a lot of boxes. It's nice to see that the guys who have been out with injury, been away from a while, from our perspective, they've been able to get some good cricket, been able to spend time in the middle, get some runs, take some wickets, but there are always little things that you can improve. "It's going to be a long, tough tournament. We're constantly looking to improve as a team, even when we have results going our way," he added. Ind vs Aus: Rahul Dravid 'really happy' with Team India's CWC'23 preparations despite 3rd ODI loss

Shubman Gill has been in terrific form in 2023, especially in the ODI format. The right-hander has already slammed as many as five centuries in the 50-over format and will be entering the forthcoming ODI World Cup as the No. 1 ranked Indian batter (second overall, behind Pakistan's Babar Azam). Ahead of the third and final ODI between India and Australia, in Rajkot on Wednesday (September 27), Gill spoke at length about Indian captain Rohit Sharma and mentioned the best quality of Hitman as a player and captain.

In an interview with Jio Cinema, Shubman hailed the 36-year-old Indian captain Rohit and stated, "He gives a lot of freedom to players to express themselves. He tells the coaches as well to let the players make their own decisions on the field and that the player should be the best judge, and that is his best quality as a player and captain."

Ind vs Aus: Team India star Shubman Gill mentions Rohit Sharma's best quality as player and captain

India beat Australia by 99 runs (DLS method) to win the second and penultimate ODI and take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three ODIs, with the final game on Wednesday (September 28) in Rajkot. R Ashwin, who returned to the ODI format after his last ODI in early 2022, has made a strong case to be included in India's final 15 for the upcoming CWC '23 edition.&nbsp;However, former Australia captain Aaron Finch has made a bold statement. Finch believes Ashwin -- who has a strong chance to replace an unfit Axar Patel from the World Cup squad -- won't make the cut and might be there as a mentor for the current group.&nbsp;

Ashwin last played an ODI in early 2022 during India's tour of South Africa. However, an injury to spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel during Asia Cup 2023, reopened the doors for Ashwin in the shorter format. In the two ODIs versus Australia, he has accounted for four wickets so far and, thus, has made a strong statement with Axar ruled out of the third and final game in Rajkot. Axar, who is dealing with a left quadriceps strain, is expected to return for the CWC '23 warm-up games. If he returns, it will be interesting to see if Ashwin remains part of India's World Cup plans.

Nonetheless, Finch doesn't think Ashwin will be part of the upcoming ICC event. Speaking on Star Sports, he said, "I think he (Ashwin) might struggle to make it to the final 15, but as somebody who has played so much cricket, I think the rest of the group that is with the Indian team for this current series against Australia, they could learn so much about big gameplay."

<h2>'Wouldn't be surprised if he's there as a mentor'</h2>

"Because Ashwin is somebody that stands up in big games, whether it's a Test match or a T20 game, he has done it all throughout his career. So I wouldn't be surprised if he's there at the moment as a mentor around the group, but I don't see him making that last 15, unfortunately," Finch, who led Australia to T20 World Cup glory in 2021, further added.

India and Australia will lock horns in the third and final ODI in Rajkot on Wednesday (September 27). All CWC '23 participating teams need to announce their final 15 prior to September 28. Hence, it will be interesting to see if Axar regains fitness and what the future has in store for Ashwin in the format.&nbsp;

Don’t see him in India's CWC '23 squad, might be there as mentor: Ex-Australia skipper on R Ashwin

India beat Australia by 99 runs, via DLS method, to win the second and penultimate ODI on Sunday evening (September 24). With this win, KL Rahul-led Men in Blue have taken an unassailable lead in the three ODIs with the final game to be held on Wednesday (September 27) in Rajkot.

After India won the series, former England captain Michael Vaughan has made a big claim on Rohit Sharma's team ahead of the forthcoming CWC 2023 edition in India.

Vaughan took to X and wrote, “It’s quite clear to me... Whoever beats #India will win the WC... India’s batting line up on Indian pitches is ridiculous... Plus they have all the bowling options covered... it’s the only the pressure of the burden that could stop them.”

Talking about the penultimate ODI, Shreyas Iyer's 105 and Shubman Gill's 104 propelled India to a mammoth 399 for 5 in 50 overs; their highest score versus the Aussies in the 50-over format.

Stand-in captain Rahul (52) and Suryakumar Yadav (37-ball 72*) also made significant contributions before Australia's target was revised to 317 in 33 overs, thanks to a rain break.

The visitors never got going and only managed 217 in 28.2 overs to lose by 99 runs. R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja accounted for three scalps each whereas Prasidh Krishna also claimed two wickets at the beginning of Australia's run-chase.&nbsp;

'Whoever beats India will win CWC '23': Vaughan's BOLD claim after KL Rahul & Co. win ODI series vs Australia

Axar Patel has been ruled out of the third and final ODI between India and Australia to be held in Rajkot on Wednesday (September 27). The spin-bowling all-rounder,&nbsp;who's dealing with a left quadriceps strain, missed the Asia Cup 2023 final after&nbsp;getting&nbsp;injured&nbsp;during the Super Four game versus Bangladesh. However, he is expected to return for the CWC 2023 warm-up games.&nbsp;

With Axar remaining unfit, R Ashwin's hopes of entering the CWC squad has increased further. Ashwin&nbsp;made a comeback in the ODI format after a long gap during the Australia series. His last ODI appearance was in early 2022, but the wily off-spinner has claimed four wickets in two games and thus, voices continue to grow for his late inclusion.

Nonetheless, as per a report in Cricbuzz, Axar is expected to return for the World Cup warm-up games. This could put Ajit Agarkar-led BCCI selection committee&nbsp;in a serious dilemma as they have to name the final 15-player World Cup squad by September 27.

As of now, no replacement has been announced for Axar for the third and final ODI. The final encounter will see the return of regulars such as captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah whereas the likes of Shubman Gill and all-rounder Shardul Thakur have been rested.&nbsp;

<section itemprop="articleBody">
It remains to be seen if Axar retains his spot or if Ashwin will make the cut eventually. The India-Australia three&nbsp;ODIs is led by the home side after they achieved an unassailable lead with a 99-run win (DLS method) in the second game&nbsp;on Sunday (September 24) in Indore.&nbsp;

Talking about the CWC warm-up games, India will play England (on September 30 in Guwahati) and the Netherlands (on October 03 in&nbsp;Thiruvananthapuram) before their tournament opener versus Australia in October 08 in Chennai. The upcoming ICC event begins on October 05 in Ahmedabad with defending champions England taking on New Zealand.

Axar Patel ruled out of third ODI vs Australia, to return for CWC '23 warm-up ties: Report

On Friday (September 22), India kick off the three-match ODI series versus Australia with the opening game at the IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. With regular captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav rested for the opening two encounters, head coach Rahul Dravid explained the rationale behind resting the two senior pros, Rohit and Kohli, in what is India's last series before CWC 2023's commencement (on October 05) in Ahmedabad.&nbsp;

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, on Thursday (September 21), Dravid explained, "The team wants Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma fresh, both physically and mentally, for the World Cup. hence they were rested for the first two ODIs." In the recent past, Kohli and Rohit have been rested at regular intervals in a bid to manage their workload and keep them fit for the upcoming home ODI World Cup. The duo was part of the three-match ODI series opener versus hosts West Indies, on July 27, but promoted the middle and lower-order batters in a low-run chase before skipping the final two games altogether. They&nbsp;were part of India's Asia Cup 2023 win with both&nbsp;being among the runs. The two, along with Hardik and in-form spinner Kuldeep, will return for the third and final ODI versus Australia on Wednesday (September 27) in Rajkot.&nbsp;

With regular captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav rested for the opening two encounters, head coach Rahul Dravid explained the rationale behind resting the two senior pros, Rohit and Kohli, in what is India's last series before CWC 2023's commencement (on October 05) in Ahmedabad. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, on Thursday (September 21), Dravid explained, "The team wants Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma fresh, both physically and mentally, for the World Cup. hence they were rested for the first two ODIs." In Rohit's absence, KL Rahul will lead in the first two ODIs. In the recent past, Kohli and Rohit have been rested at regular intervals in a bid to manage their workload and keep them fit for the upcoming home ODI World Cup. The duo was part of the three-match ODI series opener versus hosts West Indies, on July 27, but promoted the middle and lower-order batters in a low-run chase before skipping the final two games altogether. They were part of India's Asia Cup 2023 win with both being among the runs. The two, along with Hardik and in-form spinner Kuldeep, will return for the third and final ODI versus Australia on Wednesday (September 27) in Rajkot.
