The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on Saturday (Jan 27) refuted Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) report stating evidence of a Hindu temple there.

AIMPLB executive member Qasim Rasool Ilyas released a statement saying that the report of the ASI is not "conclusive evidence" in this contentious case.

"By doing this the opposition party has created a feeling of anarchy and insecurity in the society," he added.

Ilyas also condemned the Hindu side for 'insulting' the court by releasing the ASI report in the press.

"Hindu communal organizations have been misleading the public for many years regarding the Gyanvapi Masjid. The latest example of this is a report of the Archaeological Survey of India which they filed in the court and made available to the plaintiff and defendant only on the orders of the court. This report was for their study and preparation but by publishing it in the press, the opposition party has not only insulted the court but has also tried to mislead the simple people of the country," he was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI.

He went on to allege that the Hindu side made attempts to deceive the public and create turmoil in the society after a survey team released a report of a fountain present in the reservoir as Shivalinga.

"A few months ago, when the survey team in its report had described the fountain present in the reservoir as Shivalinga, the opposition party had tried its best to mislead the public and create unrest in the society by publicizing it, even though experts It could not be investigated nor did the court give any decision on it," he said.

VHP chief says Gyanvapi mosque committee should handover structure to Hindus

Meanwhile, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) released a statement on Saturday (Jan 27), demanding the Gyanvapi mosque committee to handover the structure to Hindus.

“The ASI, an official and expert body, has submitted its report to the district judge hearing the Gyanvapi matter in Kashi. The evidence collected by the ASI from the Gyanvapi structure reconfirms that the mosque had been constructed after demolishing a magnificent temple. A part of the temple structure, particularly the western wall is the remaining part of the Hindu Temple,” VHP working president Alok Kumar said in a statement.

He also said that the Hindus should be allowed to offer "sewa puja" to the 'Shivlinga' that as per the report has been discovered in the Wazukhana area.

"Thus, even as per Section 4 of the Places of Worship Act, 1991, the structure should be declared as a Hindu temple," he further said.

Kumar also called upon the Intezamia Committee, to "respectfully shift" the mosque to another appropriate location and hand over the original site of “Kashi Vishvanatha to the Hindu society”.

"The VHP believes that this righteous action shall be an important step towards creating amicable relations between the two prominent communities of Bharat," he added.

A conclusive finding of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) indicated that a large Hindu temple existed at the site of the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, media reports said quoting advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, representing the Hindu side.

As per the ASI findings, modifications were made to the mosque using pillars and plaster from the Hindu temple, with attempts to erase carvings on the pillars, as per Jain.

As India gears up to celebrate the 75th Republic Day, dense fog in the national capital may affect visibility during the parade and celebrations, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather department has predicted moderate to dense fog conditions in parts of Delhi during the early hours of Friday (Jan 26) which might affect visibility and issued an 'orange alert'.

Russian President Vladimir Putin showered praises on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his leadership and appreciated India for following an 'independent' foreign policy which is not easy to pursue in the current scenario, reported Russia-based media network Russia Today (RT).

The Russian president was interacting with university students in Kaliningrad Region on Thursday (Jan 25), which marked the 'Russian Student Day'.

"India has one of the highest rates of economic development and growth in the world, and that too is due to the leadership qualities of incumbent Prime Minister. It was during his leadership that India reached such a pace," said President Putin, while interacting with students, reported RT.

He added, "Russia can rely on India and its leadership because it is assured that New Delhi won't play 'games' against them at the international stage".

"India is pursuing an independent foreign policy, which is not easy in today's world. But, India with a population of 1.5 billion has the right to do so. And under the leadership of the Prime Minister, that right is being realised. This is not just statement, it is important from the point of organising joint work because it gives us the opportunity to forecast the actions of our partners in medium and long terms," the President further said

"This is important in practical work. Can we rely on a country and its leadership to co-operate or will it take decisions that do not even correspond to its national interest. With India, such games don't exist,” said Putin while interacting with the students.

"India has made huge steps in development, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His campaign 'Make in India' has been heard by many including Russia. USD 23 billion was invested by our company Roseneft, acquisition of an oil refinery, a network of gas stations, a port and so on," said President Putin.

He further spoke about the diverse culture of India and how popular Indian movies are in the country. "India is a great culture. It's diverse and colourful. Russia is probably the few places around the world where Indian movies are broadcast on national television," said Putin.

“Indian agents used technology and safe havens on foreign soil to commit assassinations in Pakistan. They recruited, financed, and supported criminals, terrorists, and unsuspecting civilians to play defined roles in these assassinations,” Qazi alleged.

He referred to one Shahid Latif’s killing, claiming that a detailed investigation revealed that an "Indian agent" based in a third country "orchestrated the assassination.”

He also claimed that a labourer was "sent to Pakistan to carry out the assassination.”

It is not clear if the Pakistani official was referring to the same person.

President Murmu also remembered how leaders as well officials contributed towards framing "our splendid and inspiring" Constitution.

"My heartiest greetings to all of you on the eve of the 75th Republic Day! My heart is filled with pride when I look back and see how far we have travelled despite adversities. The 75th year of the Republic is truly a historic milestone in the journey of the nation in many ways. Escalating further diplomatic tensions with India, Canada has officially added India to its probe of election meddling. The country's public inquiry into foreign interference will examine whether India interfered in Ottawa's national elections or not in 2019 and 2021, according to a Bloomberg report.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau initiated the probe last year, following the leak of intelligence documents to the media. The leaks talked in depth about China's interference in Canada's elections by supporting candidates friendly to President Xi Jinping's government.

The commission tasked with the job confirmed on Wednesday (Jan 24) that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government was indeed under investigation.

Interestingly, this is the first time that New Delhi's name has been dragged into the election interference process despite China being a notable one, in addition to Russia and other state and non-state actors.

Apart from allegedly interfering in Canada's electoral system, China has been accused of opening illegal police stations across Canada. These police stations are affiliated with the Public Security Bureau (PSB) and have been set up to antagonise China’s adversaries.

Cold India-Canada relations

India and Canada have been in a diplomatic standoff ever since Trudeau addressed the parliament and said his government had 'credible allegations' that New Delhi was involved in the killing of a Khalistani separatist named Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

After Trudeau's allegations concerning Nijjar, diplomatic animosity reached a tipping point between the two nations, with a series of mutual expulsions of diplomats taking place.

New Delhi was the first to temporarily suspend certain visa services which put Ottawa in a fix. However, despite the allegations, the Canadian government is yet to present proof to back up its allegations.

Watch | Gravitas: Indian students' shift away from Canadian colleges amidst diplomatic row Cold India-Canada relations India and Canada have been in a diplomatic standoff ever since Trudeau addressed the parliament and said his government had 'credible allegations' that New Delhi was involved in the killing of a Khalistani separatist named Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India's upcoming interim budget on February 1 is highly anticipated, especially by the nation's women. With the general elections looming, the government is expected to unveil policies that empower women and boost their participation in the economy.

Financial Support for Female Farmers

One of the most anticipated announcements is a potential doubling of the annual payout to landowning women. This move, estimated to cost the government an additional $1.44 billion, could resonate with female voters and provide much-needed financial support to a crucial segment of the population.

Boosting Women Entrepreneurship

The budget is also expected to focus on supporting women entrepreneurs, particularly in smaller cities. Schemes like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and women entrepreneurship platforms have already been helpful, but there is a demand for greater mentorship and networking opportunities.

Increasing Female Labor Force Participation

India's female labour force participation rate currently stands at 24%, contributing about 17% to the GDP. The government is expected to announce a 25% increase in allocation towards women-centric schemes compared to 2023, aiming to drive up these numbers and ensure greater inclusion of women in the workforce.

A Budget for Gender Equity

In a stride towards bolstering India's electric vehicle (EV) landscape, JSW Group has announced an investment of 400 billion rupees ($4.81 billion) in EV manufacturing projects in the coastal state of Odisha.

This is based on a Reuters report.

The conglomerate's ambitious move signals a determined challenge to both domestic and international players in the burgeoning Indian EV market, which accounted for approximately 2 per cent of total car sales last year. Leading the charge was Tata Motors, although the government is fervently eyeing a formidable 30 per cent share by 2023.

JSW Group's colossal investment will unfold in three phases, according to a statement released on Monday. In the initial two phases, a whopping 250 billion rupees will be injected into the establishment of an EV battery manufacturing plant and an EV components plant. The third phase will witness an additional infusion of 150 billion rupees to set up a cutting-edge EV components manufacturing complex.

The conglomerate's strategic partnership with China's SAIC Motor, formed in November, intensifies its commitment to green mobility and the development of a robust electric vehicle ecosystem in India. This collaboration reflects the broader trend of international cooperation to accelerate advancements in EV technology and infrastructure.

Despite these ambitious strides, India is still at a crossroads regarding the potential reduction of import taxes on EVs. A top government official informed Reuters that a decision is pending under a proposed policy for carmakers committing to local manufacturing.

The outcome could potentially pave the way for the entry of global giant Tesla into the Indian market, disrupting the status quo. However, stakeholders like Tata, Mahindra & Mahindra, and South Korea's Hyundai Motor have urged New Delhi to maintain the current policy, discouraging any reduction in taxes on hybrids.

JSW Group's monumental investment marks a significant chapter in India's transition towards sustainable and eco-friendly transportation.

As India gears up for its interim budget in an election year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aims to strike a balance between fiscal responsibility and popular measures. According to a recent Reuters poll of 41 economists, the government is expected to target a reduced fiscal deficit of 5.30 per cent of GDP in the 2024-25 fiscal year, down from the current year's 5.90 per cent. Despite increased capital expenditure, an emphasis on infrastructure investment is anticipated, with the government eyeing a fiscal deficit of 4.50 per cent by the end of 2025-26.

In the ongoing fiscal year, capital spending in India has soared over 33 per cent, exceeding $120 billion, and is projected to further rise by 15 per cent in the next fiscal year. The surge in government investment has been a key driver of the country's economic growth. Economists emphasise the need for sustained improvements in India's infrastructure to stimulate private investment. However, there is a consensus that enhancing human capital through increased spending on education should be a top priority for long-term, inclusive growth.

The consensus among economists points to infrastructure investment as the top budget priority (34 respondents), followed by rural development (17) and job creation (16). Despite the need for a focus on education and healthcare, none of the economists cited these areas as the main budget priorities. The emphasis on infrastructure investment aligns with the government's goal to fuel economic expansion and revive the private investment cycle.

Challenges persist in India's growth landscape, with modest aggregate domestic demand and notable absence of private non-infrastructure business capital expenditure. While the wealthy continue to drive demand, the informal sector, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), grapples with stress, particularly in rural areas. As the budget balances competing priorities, a cautious approach is warranted in addressing growth challenges and supporting sectors facing ongoing struggles.

Unmukt Chand, the former captain of India's under-19 cricket team who brought the World Cup trophy home in 2012, might play against India in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Unmukt Chand, the former captain of India's under-19 cricket team who brought the World Cup trophy home in 2012, might play against India in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He said it would "be strange" to clash with India as he would be eligible to play for the United States in the marquee tournament, scheduled in June. The USA is in the same group as India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024. India and the USA will clash in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 league match on 12 June in New York. Chand retired from all forms of cricket in India in September 2021. He has almost fulfilled the eligibility criteria of staying in the USA for 10 months in a year for three years. In a recent interview with Cricbuzz, Unmukt Chand said, "It is something which would be very strange (laughs), but I think since I've retired from India, my next goal was always to sort of play against India, and not in any bad blood but keen to test myself out against the best team in the world." In the early 2010s, Unmukt Chand was one of the most exciting prospects in India. However, he couldn't live up to the sky-high expectations after scoring a match-winning century in the under-19 World Cup finals. Unmukt Chand transferred allegiance from Delhi to Uttarakhand due to underwhelming returns in the domestic circuit. In 2021, he moved to the USA and played for the Silicon Valley Strikers. He has scored over 1,500 runs across three seasons in the first Minor League Cricket. If Chand gets selected to play for the United States, he might lock horns with players who were once his team mates like Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav. Two more players, Smit Patel and Harmeet Singh, from the under-19 World Cup 2012, have qualified to play for the United States in the T20 World Cup 2024. Patel, a wicketkeeper and batter, has played cricket for Gujarat, Tripura, and Vadodara in India. He moved to the USA in 2020. Patel fondly remembers playing with Jasprit Bumrah. "I have spent a lot of time with Jassi over the years. Still remember the day he rocked up to practice for the first time and left us awestruck with what we were witnessing," Smit told Cricbuzz. "The team had a name for him those days. We used to call him Jasprit Gumrah." (With inputs from agencies)

Myanmar military plane skids off runway on airport in India’s Mizoram, eight injured

As India awaits its 2024 budget, all eyes are on the education sector. Will the decade-long transformation that has seen a 64% budget increase and a shift from teacher shortages to skill development, research, and internationalisation continue? Will it stay on track to fulfil the ambitious promise of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020?

Since 2014, the Modi government's approach to education has evolved in three distinct phases:

Building foundations (2014-2016)

The initial focus was on addressing immediate needs. Teacher training programs tackled the critical problem of staff shortages, while "CLICK" classrooms and the School Assessment Programme aimed to improve quality and access. Skill development initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) laid the groundwork for future workforce preparedness.

Expanding horizons (2015-2019)

Higher education took centre stage with increased funding for research, new institutes, and the modernisation of secondary schools. The Higher Education Funding Agency (HEFA) and "Study in India" schemes aimed to strengthen infrastructure and attract foreign students. Initiatives like the National Testing Agency and online courses like SWAYAM emphasised quality control and digital access.

Embracing transformation (2020-present)

The National Education Policy 2020 has become the guiding light for education reforms. Early childhood education, vocational training, and online degree programmes have received significant funding boosts. Sports education through the National Sports Education Board and ventures into new domains like AI reflect the need for holistic development and future-proof skills.

Budget 2024: Building on the legacy

While progress is undeniable, challenges remain. Reaching the 6% of GDP target for education necessitates continued investment and innovative solutions. Bridging the digital divide and ensuring quality education for all, especially in rural areas and for underprivileged groups, needs focused attention.

The upcoming budget is an opportunity to build on the existing momentum and address these challenges. Will it further incentivise private participation in education? Will it prioritise teacher training and development alongside increased funding? Will it bridge the gap between education and employability through focused skill development initiatives?

As India stands poised to become a knowledge economy, the 2024 budget will shape the path of its education system. It will determine how effectively the nation equips future generations with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

India's fintech boom: Budget blueprint for growth and inclusion?

Boasting about the country's extensive and fast digital payment ecosystem, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday (Jan 21) claimed that the number of cashless transactions the United States does in three years, India does in a month.

The EAM made the comment while interacting with people of the Indian community during his official Nigeria trip.

"The life of every Indian citizen has become easier and this is because we have embraced technology in a very deep way. You can see this in payment, very few people today pay in cash and very few people accept cash," said Jaishankar.

"Today, we do as many cashless payments in India in a month as much as America does in three years," Jaishankar added.

Most Western nations have struggled to move to a cashless economy but in India, even the poorest have seamlessly adopted the novel payment system.

Jaishankar also highlighted that India was among the fastest-growing economies of the world and that business sentiment about New Delhi had greatly improved.

"Today, what is happening in the economy, we are the fastest-growing big economy in the world, but it is much more than that. Today, if you see the economic activity in India, wherever you go, something is being built. A metro is being built, a road is being built, new airports are coming up, new trains are coming up, railway stations are coming up. If you go to your village, piped water is coming up, there is an electricity connection coming," Jaishankar said.

In an attempt to increase milk production in the country, India has imported 40,000 doses of bull semen from Brazil, to be used in artificial insemination, according to a report in Mint.

In an attempt to increase milk production in the country, India has imported 40,000 doses of bull semen from Brazil, to be used in artificial insemination, according to a report in Mint. Government-owned cooperative National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), which operates the famous Mother Dairy brand, said it has imported the doses that would be used to increase the number of native breeds such as Gir and Kankrej. Notably, Gir, one of the principal Zebu breeds that originated in India was gifted to Brazil by the Maharaja of Bhavnagar in the 18th century. Since then, the South American nation has preserved the original breed which has now become a high-milk producing breed. It is quite famous in other South American countries due to its ability to survive extreme weather. Meanwhile, the native species in India declined due to cross breeding. “The first imports of 40,000 semen doses just took place this month by India’s NDDB. It’s been a project for a long time. For three to four years, they have been discussing it. Though it was a tough discussion, we managed to solve it and now import has taken place," Angelo de Queiroz Mauricio, agricultural attaché at Brazil’s embassy in New Delhi was quoted as saying by the outlet. Watch | Covid-19 MRNA detected in breast milk × Why India needs more milk? Despite being the world's largest milk producer, accounting for 24 per cent of the global output, India needs to increase output as demand is increasing exponentially for the world's most populated nation. India's current milk production is on par with its consumption. NDDB is aiming to increase the average amount of milk produced by the cows here by mixing Brazilian genetics. “The average here is eight litres. Some animals in Brazil can even produce up to 40 litres of milk. However, the average is 20-22 litres per animal," said Mauricio. Also read | The silent saboteur: Unveiling the dark side of adulterated milk India wanting to import Brazilian bull semen is an idea that was first mooted in 2017. However, it never managed to get off the ground as detractors opposed the move saying the Brazilian semen will lead to genetic erosion and destroy the purity of India's original established cattle. The cow breeders argued that NDDB provide technical guidance to Indian cow breeders, purchase bulls from them and do research on various indigenous breeds before purchasing Brazilian bull semen. India's bid to host the 2036 Olympics marks a significant shift in its sports landscape. The country, with its large population and booming economy, aims to showcase its global prowess through this endeavor. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to leaving "no stone unturned" reflects a national aspiration for a prominent role in the international sports arena.

The recent successes of Indian athletes at the Tokyo Olympics, Birmingham Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games in Hangzhou have boosted confidence in India's ability to compete at the highest level. The government, under Modi's leadership, has implemented strategic initiatives like the "Khelo India" program and the "Target Olympic Podium Scheme" to foster talent and improve sports infrastructure, signaling a comprehensive approach to sports development.

However, challenges persist, as highlighted by the setbacks during the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Infrastructure deficiencies and organizational issues raised doubts about India's readiness to host major sporting events. The choice of Ahmedabad as a potential host city for the 2036 Olympics has raised concerns about its capacity and preparedness.

While Ahmedabad has ambitious plans and has broken ground on facilities, questions about the city's ability to accommodate the expected influx of visitors and sustain the upgraded infrastructure post-Olympics remain. The need for substantial growth in hotel capacity and long-term planning for facility utilization poses logistical challenges.

India's dominance in cricket, often viewed as a hurdle for other sports, could be mitigated by the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, offering a chance for the sport to share the spotlight. This aligns with Modi's vision of using sports as a tool for national integration and showcasing India's capabilities on a global stage.

In conclusion, India's bid to host the 2036 Olympics signifies a bold step towards establishing itself as a sports powerhouse. While challenges exist, the government's commitment to sports development and the nation's recent sporting achievements provide a strong foundation. Hosting the Olympics could potentially elevate India's global standing, attract investments, and foster a culture of sports beyond cricket.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday (January 18) said that there is a possibility that China might be "weaponising" weather for strategic gain. Though he did not mention China explicitly, his mention of Indian states sharing border with China signalled that it was indeed the country he was talking about. He also said that climate change was not just a phenomenon related to weather but it was also linked with national security.

He said that his department has “taken it seriously.”

Singh was speaking at an event in Uttarakhand, a state that shares border with China. The event marked inauguration of 35 infrastructure projects of Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

During his speech, Singh exclaimed that it was a matter worth looking into why states bordering China are witnessing increased number of natural disasters.

“Certain border states like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Union Territories like Ladakh have noticed an increase in the number of natural disasters in recent years. The Himalayas extend to other states as well, but such incidents are confined to certain states only, and we cannot ignore that. Many experts believe that these natural disasters are an outcome of climate change. Climate change in the country is not just a weather-related phenomenon; the matter is related to national security. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has taken it very seriously and will seek help from friendly countries to study and rule out any involvement of any enemy country on this issue,” said Singh.

Coaching centres in India have been prohibited from enrolling students below the age of 16, according to new guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education on Thursday (Jan 18). The regulatory framework has been introduced to manage the unregulated growth of private coaching centres across the country.

Titled ‘Guidelines for Regulation of Coaching Center 2024’, the framework aims to enhance student supervision and support for study programmes, competitive exams and academics.

"No coaching centre shall enroll students below 16 years of age or the student enrolment should be only after secondary school examination," read the notification.

"The coaching centres shall not make misleading promises or guarantee of rank or good marks to parents/students for enrolling them in the coaching centre," it added.

For a long time, the government had been receiving complaints about the rising cases of student suicides, fire incidents and lack of facilities among other issues regarding the coaching centres. Often these institutes put additional pressure on students to balance school and coaching work which leads to cases of suicide.

The police in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh have opened a probe against an orphanage over allegations of child abuse. As many as 21 children have alleged horrific abuse after the state Women and Child Welfare Department conducted a surprise inspection at the private institution for minor girls. "The children told the team that they were hung upside down, branded with hot iron and photographed after being stripped," the officials said, adding that the facility housed orphans from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Madhya Pradesh. The facility is run by the Vatsalyapuram Jain Trust, which manages at least 13 such orphanages nationwide including in Bengaluru, Jodhpur and Kolkata. Indian authorities have said they could assist Canada in investigating the links of criminal gangs operating in the country and targeting Indo-Canadians. India’s High Commissioner to Ottawa, Sanjay Kumar Verma made the remark but added that it would assist only if there is a formal request from Ottawa. Canadian security agencies have alleged that crime rackets operating in Edmonton, Alberta and other provinces were being "orchestrated from India". “Canadians are yet to request, with evidence. If specific and relevant evidence, not merely unsubstantiated allegations, are shared with us, pointing to links between Canadian extortionists and Indian gangsters, we shall act accordingly,” Verma was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times Verma added that there were “existing mechanisms between the two governments to cooperate on organised crimes" and that New Delhi will pay heed if concrete proof is presented. The Edmonton Police Service is of the view that a series of extortion, arsons and shooting in Alberta's capital region are being orchestrated by a network, operating from India. On Thursday (Jan 18), the EPS released a video of a vehicle that was used in a drive-by shooting which they believe is connected to an extortion scheme that has so far exclusively targeted South Asian home builders in Edmonton. India-Maldives Row: Both countries finding 'mutually workable solution', says Indian foreign ministry

Speaking about where New Delhi stands amid the US-China chip wars at the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual meeting, the Indian Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Wednesday (Jan 17) said that it is not a battle since there is enough for everyone and how the semiconductor industry will evolve in several ways.

‘Trust is our biggest capital’

In response to a question about how India will navigate through the chip war between the US and China, Vaishnaw said that the world has developed a certain trust in New Delhi because of how the country has conducted itself, in terms of economic and foreign policies, on the international stage.

“Trust is our biggest capital. That trust gels the entire world into a harmonious way,” said the IT minister during a roundtable discussion at the gathering of global leaders in Davos, Switzerland.

He also spoke about how India has signed agreements with several countries including the US, Japan and some countries in Europe on semiconductors, adding that New Delhi is also working with the South Korean government and companies.

“It’s like practically every company wants to collaborate with India in one way or another,” said Vaishnaw. He added, “So we don’t think it’s a battle, we think there is enough for everybody.”
