<p>Following his sentencing, Biggs made a jailhouse phone call to conspiracy theory show host Alex Jones and claimed before viewers that he was given food of poor quality at the prison. He also called on his supporters to make donations to help his family survive, as his military pension was put on hold following his conviction.</p>

<p>Speaking about Trump, Biggs claimed that Trump will indeed pardon him.</p>

<p>Notably, the WSJ in its polls has noted that Trump’s lead over DeSantis has nearly doubled to 46 percentage points since the April survey, indicating a strong support for the Capitol riots.</p>

<p>Around 78 per cent of voters said that Trump’s efforts to subvert the 2020 election were legitimate attempts to ensure an accurate vote, while only 16 per cent thought that he illegally attempted to obstruct Congress from certifying the 2020 presidential election results.</p>

<p>GOP voters overwhelmingly thought that the four criminal cases against Trump lacked merit, with around half saying they had fuelled their support for him.</p>

<p>Moreover, about 48 per cent of the surveyors said that the indictments had motivated them to support Trump even more in the 2024 election, while 16 per cent indicated that this legal action made them less likely to support him.</p>

<p>The office also said that its valuation and accounting experts determined the former president's net worth in any year between 2011 and 2021 would be no more than $2.6 billion, rather than the stated net worth of up to $6.1 billion.</p>

<p>Raffensperger said in his testimony that Meadows facilitated the call, which occurred after the Secretary of State's office had conclusively found there was no widespread fraud in Georgia. The federal government has no role in administering state elections, Raffensperger said.</p>

Taking to his social network Truth Social, Trump demanded the dismissal of the case and called&nbsp;lead prosecutor Jack Smith "deranged" and&nbsp;complained of "election interference."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Today a biased, Trump Hating Judge gave me only a two month extension, just what our corrupt government wanted, SUPER TUESDAY. I will APPEAL!" he stated.</p>

<p>The 77-year-old former president has been facing four criminal indictments this year – one each by state prosecutors in Georgia and New York and twice by Smith. In an early August court appearance, Trump had pleaded not guilty to the charges, after which he was not needed to attend the procedural hearing on Monday.<br />

Smith had appealed to start the trial on January 2, however, Trump's lawyer John Lauro described that proposition as "a request for a show trial, not a speedy trial," calling the idea of having just four months to prepare "absurd and ridiculous."<br />

Trump's historic trial in federal election case to begin on March 4, one day before Super Tuesday

<p>For the Donald Trump campaign, a mug shot was recently proven to be more than $7 million. A campaign spokesperson said, on Saturday (August 26) that they have managed to raise $7.1 million since Thursday when he was booked at a county jail in the state of Georgia and became the first sitting or former US president to suffer the fate of having to pose for a prison mugshot.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What happened?</strong></h2>

<p>Trump spokesman Steven Cheung took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and said that since the former president’s appearance to have his mug shot taken after he surrendered at an Atlanta jail, the campaign has received some $7.1 million.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also claimed that on Friday (August 25) alone, Trump brought in $4.18 million, making it the highest-grossing day of his campaign so far.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This was a day after Trump was booked on more than a dozen felony charges stemming from his efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia.</p>

<p>A report by CNN citing Trump’s campaign source said that the sales have contributed to the high fundraising totals.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The former president is expected to be booked on 13 felony charges in connection with his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election that led to the insurrection of Capitol Hill.</p>

<p>The exclusivity clause was disclosed in the filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It stated that the former president was "generally required to make any social media post on Truth Social and may not make the same post on another social media site for 6 hours" for an 18-month period starting on December 22, 2021. The time frame was over in June.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trump returned to Facebook in March, posting, "I'M BACK!" just weeks after his personal account there was reactivated, and he has been using it to share his videos and messages. If he plans to come back on Twitter, the way he used to, then the next year's election just became even more interesting.&nbsp;</p>
