<p>So far in the investigation, Delhi police have been able to analyse the CCTV footage, initially focusing on 12 individuals who had visited the crime scene in the hours preceding the blast, as per reports citing sources.&nbsp;</p>

The police traced the auto driver, who revealed that the man who "was not able to speak Hindi properly" had given Rs 150 fare to be dropped at Prithviraj Road.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the police, Jha not only burnt and threw his phone but also of four others. He then fled to Rajasthan, an adjoining state in the north after the security breach on Wednesday (Dec 13).</p>

<p>"After the incident, he fled to Rajasthan where he stayed for two days and returned to Delhi last night," a Delhi Police officer said, as quoted by news agency PTI.</p>

<p>Kailash and Mahesh Kumawat, who are cousins, arranged his stay there, they added. The duo is also sought by Delhi police now and will be arrested soon.</p>

"One of Gogamedi's security personnel and another person were injured in the firing," DGP Mishra added.</p>

<p>A report by the news agency PTI said on Saturday that another man, Ramveer Jat, one of the conspirators in the murder case, was arrested. Jat, a resident of Mahendragarh district of Haryana, had allegedly contracted&nbsp;shooters to kill Gogamedi.</p>

<p>The police told PTI that following the killing, Jat took the shooters Nitin and Rohit on a motorcycle and helped them board a Rajasthan Roadways bus ahead of Bagru toll plaza.</p>

<p>A group of miscreants entered a residence in Baba Haridas Nagar locality in the Indian national capital of Delhi, masquerading as Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers. They made off with a staggering $384k in cash, leaving the neighbourhood in shock.</p>

<p>As per reports from the Delhi Police, one of the culprits has been apprehended, while intense operations are currently underway to track down the remaining perpetrators.</p>

<p>The team's quick action secured a substantial part of the stolen money. The police control room (PCR) team managed to intercept a suspicious vehicle in Narela area, recovering a substantial sum of $84.05k in cash.</p>

<p>The apprehended suspect was found in possession of a firearm and four live cartridges, raising more questions about the crime.</p>

<p>Identified by the alias 'Sundar,' the 25-year-old had recently completed a significant land sale transaction. He had received a payment of $384k in cash, securely storing it inside the confines of his home, tucked away beneath his bed.</p>

<p>The remainder of the sale price was received through two separate cheques.</p>

<p>The step was taken by the Delhi Police amid allegations that the funding was received by the news portal from China.</p>

<p>The police officers from the Delhi Police’s Special Cell conducted the searches. So far, no arrests have been made, however, sources stated that few journalists were taken to the police stations for questioning.</p>

<p>The Enforcement Directorate had earlier registered a case against the news portal and started investigating its funding. The central agency had also attached some assets linked to the news portal.</p>

<h2><strong>NewsClick funding interlinked with Chinese propaganda, hints probe</strong></h2>

<p>In an investigation carried out by the New York Times in August, it was alleged that NewsClick is one of those organisations which were funded by a network related to US millionaire Neville Roy Singham which pushes Chinese propaganda.</p>

<p>In 2021, the source of funding of the news portal came under the scanner when a case was filed against it by the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police.</p>

<p>The case filed by the Enforcement Directorate case was said to be based on this case. NewsClick promoters were given protection from arrest by the Delhi High Court, and the matter is now in court.</p>

<p>After the report published in the New York Times in August, Purkayastha, while speaking to the Indian Express, said, "These are not new allegations. They have been made in the past. We will respond to them in the appropriate forum, i.e. the court, as the matter is sub judice."</p>

Delhi Police register anti-terror case against NewsClick, raid journalists amid China funding row

<p>The Delhi Police on Monday (Oct 2) arrested a suspected Islamic State terrorist, who was on top of the Wanted List of India's National Investigation Agency (NIA), after a massive search operation.</p>

<p>The man has been identified as Shahnawaz alias Shafi Uzzama, and was wanted in a case dubbed as 'Pune ISIS module', named after a city in western India's Maharashtra state.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>From engineer to terror suspect: Who is Shahnawaz alias Shafi Uzzama?</strong></h2>

<p>Shahnawaz is a mining engineer and came to the National Capital Region after fleeing Pune and had been living.</p>

<p>The NIA last month released pictures of four terror suspects, including that of Shahnawaz, wanted in the Pune ISIS module case.&nbsp;The agency announced a reward money of ₹3 lakh each for information on them leading to their arrest.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>How did Shahnawaz escape Pune police's custody?</strong></h2>

<p>Shahnawaz and two others - Mohammad Imran Mohammad Yunus Khan, 23, and Mohammad Yunus Mohammad Yakub Saki, 24&nbsp;- were arrested by Pune Police on July 18 after they were found attempting to steal a two-wheeler.</p>

<p>According to the reports citing the account of the police, Shahnawaz jumped out of the police vehicle and managed to escape while the police were&nbsp;taking him to his residency in Pune city for a search operation.</p>

<h2><strong>Potential danger posed by Shahnawaz</strong></h2>

<p>According to a report in Hindustan Times, on questioning Khan and Saki, the police learned that they were allegedly involved in a terror case registered in Rajasthan after explosives were found in a car in March 2022.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They also carried a bounty of ₹5 lakh ($6,012) each, a police officer was quoted as saying by the newspaper.</p>

<p>On further probe, the police found acid and explosive-making material that incriminated Shahnawaz.</p>

<p>Last month, Khakha told a court that he underwent a vasectomy (surgery to block sperm from reaching the semen that is ejaculated from the penis) in 2005 and could not rape or impregnate a woman. Speaking to Hindustan Times, a doctor from the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital who chose to remain anonymous, said a board of doctors carried out the 51-year-old's potency test on August 21.</p>

<p>Contrary to Khakha's claims that he underwent a vasectomy and was incapable of having sex, the board opined that the suspended Delhi government official was very much capable of sexual acts, the doctor said. The doctor added that for the impregnation claim, doctors need to conduct the virility test. An officer of the Delhi Police told the publication that the police would inform the court about Khakha's refusal (to provide his semen sample) and to carry out the test.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>The case</strong></h2>

<p>Khakha was arrested in August&nbsp;for raping his deceased friend’s 17-year-old daughter for several months. Khakha's wife Seema Rani was also booked after authorities found out that she gave abortion pills to the teenager when she became pregnant.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We have arrested the two accused in connection with this case. One of them is Premoday Khakha, 51... the second is his wife Seema Rani, 50. We have arrested Seema Rani as she was aware of the incident and (was) effective in getting the abortion," senior Delhi Police officer Sagar Singh Khalsi said.</p>

<p>The matter only came to light when the victim, who is a student of Class 12, was hospitalised over anxiety issues. Khakha was booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A 14-year-old boy in Delhi was detained by the police for allegedly murdering his tutor who sexually assaulted him on multiple occasions, Indian media reported on Sunday (September 3). According to a report by NDTV, the Delhi Police said that the tutor (aged 28) used to regularly sexually abuse the boy and even made a video of the assault.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The teenager was detained on Friday, two&nbsp;days after he allegedly murdered his tutor using a sharp weapon, the report added.</p>

<p>Police received a call on Wednesday that blood was coming out of a room on the second floor of a one-room apartment in Jamia Nagar and the door was open. Upon reaching the spot, the police found the 28-year-old's body lying on the floor with deep-cut injuries on his neck.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Tutor was allegedly homosexual: Cops</strong></h2>

<p>A case of murder was registered by the police and an investigation was immediately launched. The report added that in the initial investigation, the police found out that the tutor was allegedly homosexual.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He met the 14-year-old two months back and sexually abused him on several occasions since. The tutor shot an intimate video of the boy and blackmailed him by threatening he would upload it on social media if the boy did not comply, police added.</p>

<p>On Wednesday, the teenager reached the apartment in Jamia Nagar after receiving a call from his tutor to meet him. The teenager reached the apartment with a paper cutter and murdered his tutor before fleeing the spot. A report by India Today on Sunday said the tutor's&nbsp;phone, clothes, and shoes worn by the teenager at the time of the incident were also recovered.<br />

According to a report by NDTV, the Delhi Police said that the tutor (aged 28) used to regularly sexually abuse the boy and even made a video of the assault. The teenager was detained on Friday, two days after he allegedly murdered his tutor using a sharp weapon, the report added. Police received a call on Wednesday that blood was coming out of a room on the second floor of a one-room apartment in Jamia Nagar and the door was open. Upon reaching the spot, the police found the 28-year-old's body lying on the floor with deep-cut injuries on his neck. Tutor was allegedly homosexual: Cops A case of murder was registered by the police and an investigation was immediately launched. The report added that in the initial investigation, the police found out that the tutor was allegedly homosexual. He met the 14-year-old two months back and sexually abused him on several occasions since. The tutor shot an intimate video of the boy and blackmailed him by threatening he would upload it on social media if the boy did not comply, police added. On Wednesday, the teenager reached the apartment in Jamia Nagar after receiving a call from his tutor to meet him. The teenager reached the apartment with a paper cutter and murdered his tutor before fleeing the spot. A report by India Today on Sunday said the tutor's phone, clothes, and shoes worn by the teenager at the time of the incident were also recovered. <p>“If a threat is conclusively established, the ODC will decide what is the best method, or which particular weapon system should be used, to neutralize it,” he added.</p>

<p>According to the Northern Railway, in preparation for the upcoming G20 Summit in New Delhi, a total of 207 Train Services will face cancellations, while 36 Train Services will experience short terminations or origins from September 9th to 11th, as reported by&nbsp;ANI.</p>

The video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, showed the constable Mahesh Chand taking the&nbsp;fine from the man, who is a YouTuber named FITVELY, but did not provide any receipt. "Sir wrong carriageway. Pay a fine of Rs 5,000 cash," Chand says.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the YouTuber started counting the money, the constable said, "Not Rs 500, but Rs 5,000." The video was captured on FITVELY's dashboard camera. The South Korean uploaded the video on his channel. Many Indian viewers on YouTube condemned the constable's actions and apologised to FITVELY.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"As an Indian citizen, Apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. That corrupt police officer has been suspended. No justification can reverse this," a viewer (@DheerajMadhurajan) commented.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The women wrestlers, who are also the complainants, have questioned the intent of the oversight panel that probed the sexual harassment accusations against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and alleged that it was biased towards him, according to the chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police in the sensational case.</p>

<p>The outgoing WFI chief is scheduled to appear before a trial court on Tuesday in pursuance of summons issued against him and the Federation's Assistant Secretary Vinod Tomar.</p>

<p>The government-formed five-member oversight panel, led by the legendary Indian boxer MC Mary Kom, had submitted its report to the government but it was not made public.</p>

<p>The complainants, in their separate statements, alleged that the panel appeared biased towards Singh, who is also a BJP MP.</p>

<p>The chargesheet that runs into 1599 pages, contained statements of 44 witnesses, besides six statements by the complainants which were recorded under CrPC 164.</p>

<p>"Even after giving my statement before the (oversight) committee whenever I visited the Federation office, the accused looked at me with distasteful and lustful eyes and made wrong gestures which made me feel insecure," said one of the complainants.</p>

<p>"Even the video recording was being switched off and on while I was giving my statement and in spite of my request the committee did not supply me a copy of my video recording. I fear that my statement may not have been recorded in entirety and may also have been tampered with to protect the accused," the statement of the wrestler read further.</p>

<p>Another complainant said that she was made a part of the WFI sexual harassment committee to look into such cases without her consent. All national sports federations are supposed to have Internal Complaints Committee.</p>

<p>"I was never issued any formal communication informing me about such approval, nor was any formal communication received by me seeking my approval to be part of the sexual harassment committee of the Wrestling Federation of India.</p>

<p>"The accused, in conspiracy with accused No. 2 and other unknown persons, has deliberately done this to suppress my voice and allegations against him. He has, without my approval or consensus, made me part of the said committee and is now alleging that in spite of being part of the committee, I am falsely alleging to be a victim myself," said the complainant.</p>

<p>The same 'victim' also alleged that the oversight panel did not provide her the recording when demanded.</p>

<p>"I had serious doubts that my statement on video may not have been recorded in entirety or may have been altered in an attempt to protect the accused and thus I requested for a copy of the video recording. However members of the oversight committee flatly turned down my request."</p>

<p>Delhi police had justified not arresting the accused, saying both Singh and WFI Assistant Secretary Tomar complied with the law by joining the investigation.</p>

<p>"Results of digital/electronic devices and exhibits seized and deposited with the concerned Forensic Labs are yet to be received and shall be filed through supplementary police reports. The analysis of requisitioned CDRs etc., as found appropriate for the purpose of prosecution shall also be submitted expeditiously," the police said in the chargesheet.</p>

"Even the video recording was being switched off and on while I was giving my statement and in spite of my request the committee did not supply me a copy of my video recording. I fear that my statement may not have been recorded in entirety and may also have been tampered with to protect the accused," the statement of the wrestler read further. Another complainant said that she was made a part of the WFI sexual harassment committee to look into such cases without her consent. All national sports federations are supposed to have Internal Complaints Committee. "I was never issued any formal communication informing me about such approval, nor was any formal communication received by me seeking my approval to be part of the sexual harassment committee of the Wrestling Federation of India. "The accused, in conspiracy with accused No. 2 and other unknown persons, has deliberately done this to suppress my voice and allegations against him. He has, without my approval or consensus, made me part of the said committee and is now alleging that in spite of being part of the committee, I am falsely alleging to be a victim myself," said the complainant. The same 'victim' also alleged that the oversight panel did not provide her the recording when demanded. "I had serious doubts that my statement on video may not have been recorded in entirety or may have been altered in an attempt to protect the accused and thus I requested for a copy of the video recording. However members of the oversight committee flatly turned down my request." Delhi police had justified not arresting the accused, saying both Singh and WFI Assistant Secretary Tomar complied with the law by joining the investigation. "Results of digital/electronic devices and exhibits seized and deposited with the concerned Forensic Labs are yet to be received and shall be filed through supplementary police reports. The analysis of requisitioned CDRs etc., as found appropriate for the purpose of prosecution shall also be submitted expeditiously," the police said in the chargesheet. <h2><strong>Operational base</strong></h2>

<p>While the gang primarily operated from Uganda, they occasionally made calls from India. In one instance, Armarkar allegedly requested a target in India to pay the penalty with gold bars instead of money.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Regardless of the victim's location within the United States, the gang ensured someone would collect the payment.</p>

The gang meticulously profiled their targets, scanning their social media accounts and exploiting vulnerabilities such as lack of technical expertise or feelings of isolation.</p>

Delhi Police, FBI bust call centre scam which conned US citizens of $20 million

Last Sunday (May 28), Sahil, 20, stabbed Sakshi, 16, more than 20 times and then bludgeoned her with a cement slab, killing her on the spot. She was found to have 34 injury marks on her body and her skull was smashed.</p>

<p>The police also said that the knife used by Sahil in the murder was bought by him 16 days back from Haridwar and it was thrown near Rithala Metro Station in Delhi after the crime. He then took a bus for Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh from the Anand Vihar bus terminus, the police added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sahil was arrested in Bulandshahr after a call from his aunt to his father was traced to the location. He was brought to Delhi on Monday evening. The 20-year-old was produced at a Delhi court here which sent him on police remand for two days.</p>

<p>According to police, Sakshi and Sahil had been seeing each other since June 2021. But for the last three to four months, she started moving away from the accused. Sakshi broke up with Sahil nine days back.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Accused suspected victim was getting involved with ex-boyfriend: Cops</strong></h2>

<p>The Delhi Police said that Sahil suspected that Sakshi was getting involved with her ex-boyfriend Praveen. "The statements by him are being verified. Sometimes he says she ignored him which angered him. But he also suspected that Sakshi was getting involved with her former boyfriend," an officer told PTI.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The police said that Sakshi was with Praveen for three to four years before she was in a relationship with Sahil. The accused claimed that Sakshi was keen to get back with Praveen since he had a motorcycle, the police added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last Saturday, Sakshi warned Sahil to stay away from her. She was with her friend Bhawna and her boyfriend Jhabru at the time. Jhabru too threatened to beat Sahil if he came near Sakshi.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The victim also mentioned the name of her friend Neetu's husband, a known criminal in the area, to threaten Sahil.</p>

<h2><strong>Police recreate the crime scene</strong></h2>

<p>The police recreated the crime scene by taking Sahil to the murder site and may also conduct a psycho-analysis test. The CCTV footage before Sakshi's murder has come to the fore, where the 16-year-old was going towards the place of crime two minutes before the incident.</p>

Preliminary probe required before FIR can be filed: Delhi Police to India's top court on wrestlers' plea

<p>Delhi Police arrested a 27-year-old gangster, Deepak Boxer, from Mexico on Tuesday.&nbsp;It is suspected that he may have flown to Mexico either in December 2022 or January this year. Boxer, who is a resident of Haryana, is believed to be Delhi’s most wanted gangster. Delhi Police Special Commissioner Police&nbsp;HGS Dhaliwal said there is no other bigger gangster in Delhi-NCR than him. This is the first time that a criminal has been brought from a foreign land, the Special CP added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Boxer has been accused in more than 10 cases of murder, extortion, Arms Act and robbery. Police call him the operational command of the Gogi gang and he allegedly has ties with Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Who is Deepak Boxer? Capital’s most wanted gangster</strong></h2>

<p>Deepak Boxer, whose real name is Deepak Pahal is a resident of Sonipat, Haryana. He was a boxer and joined boxing clubs in 2008. He participated in many state-level championships and was even recruited by the Sports Authority of India as a trainee boxer in 2009-10. He soon quit sports over petty fights with fellow boxers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>His dossier mentions that he studied till class 10, following which he left his studies and started his career in boxing and played till the inter-state level. At the junior level, he got a gold medal, but after he lost a game, he left boxing. Around this time, Deepak met Mohit and later the duo is alleged to have helped in the release of Gogi.</p>

<p>Since then he has been involved in a series of extortion cases but he came to the limelight in 2016 when he released gangster Jitender alias Gogi from police custody in Haryana. Boxer was heading the erstwhile Gogi gang after the former kingpin, Jitender was killed inside the Rohini courts complex in September 2021.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to police, Boxer had been running the gang’s operation with the help of his gang members lodged in jail. The gangster carried a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh by Delhi Police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In September 2022, he was searching for a builder named Amit Gupta from Delhi’s Civil Lines locality. Months after that, Boxer took to Facebook and claimed responsibility for the builder’s murder. In his Facebook post, Boxer alleged that the builder had ties with the Tillu Tajpuria gang, which is a known enemy of the Gogi gang. He further claimed that Gupta was funding the rival gang.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>How Deepak Boxer fled to Mexico and how Delhi Police nabbed him</strong></h2>

<p>Deepak is believed to have fled India either in December 2022 or January 2023 and was trying to enter the US from Mexico. He reportedly made a fake passport from Bareilly in the name of Ravi Antil and flew from Kolkata to Dubai. From Dubai, Boxer reached Mexico via Almaty, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Spain.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Police suspected Boxer’s California-based cousin helped him reach Mexico. Boxer was planning to land in the US and monitor criminal activities in Delhi-NCR.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last year in August, Union home minister, Amit Shah instructed Delhi Police to legally pursue criminals and terrorists hiding in the country or abroad, police said. The instruction from the home ministry led to the operation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A two-member team of Delhi Police was sent to Mexico as the department was sure of Boxer’s location. The team from the South West Range of the Special Cell then brought&nbsp;Deepak back to India with the help of the FBI.</p>

This is the first time that a criminal has been brought from a foreign land, the Special CP added. Boxer has been accused in more than 10 cases of murder, extortion, Arms Act and robbery. Police call him the operational command of the Gogi gang and he allegedly has ties with Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang. Who is Deepak Boxer? Capital’s most wanted gangster Deepak Boxer, whose real name is Deepak Pahal is a resident of Sonipat, Haryana. He was a boxer and joined boxing clubs in 2008. He participated in many state-level championships and was even recruited by the Sports Authority of India as a trainee boxer in 2009-10. He soon quit sports over petty fights with fellow boxers. His dossier mentions that he studied till class 10, following which he left his studies and started his career in boxing and played till the inter-state level. At the junior level, he got a gold medal, but after he lost a game, he left boxing. Around this time, Deepak met Mohit and later the duo is alleged to have helped in the release of Gogi. Since then he has been involved in a series of extortion cases but he came to the limelight in 2016 when he released gangster Jitender alias Gogi from police custody in Haryana. Boxer was heading the erstwhile Gogi gang after the former kingpin, Jitender was killed inside the Rohini courts complex in September 2021. According to police, Boxer had been running the gang’s operation with the help of his gang members lodged in jail. The gangster carried a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh by Delhi Police. In September 2022, he was searching for a builder named Amit Gupta from Delhi’s Civil Lines locality. Months after that, Boxer took to Facebook and claimed responsibility for the builder’s murder. In his Facebook post, Boxer alleged that the builder had ties with the Tillu Tajpuria gang, which is a known enemy of the Gogi gang. He further claimed that Gupta was funding the rival gang. How Deepak Boxer fled to Mexico and how Delhi Police nabbed him Deepak is believed to have fled India either in December 2022 or January 2023 and was trying to enter the US from Mexico. He reportedly made a fake passport from Bareilly in the name of Ravi Antil and flew from Kolkata to Dubai. From Dubai, Boxer reached Mexico via Almaty, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Spain. Police suspected Boxer’s California-based cousin helped him reach Mexico. Boxer was planning to land in the US and monitor criminal activities in Delhi-NCR. Last year in August, Union home minister, Amit Shah instructed Delhi Police to legally pursue criminals and terrorists hiding in the country or abroad, police said. The instruction from the home ministry led to the operation. A two-member team of Delhi Police was sent to Mexico as the department was sure of Boxer’s location. The team from the South West Range of the Special Cell then brought Deepak back to India with the help of the FBI. <p>She added, "The girl has alleged that her school teacher tried to hush up the matter. It is very unfortunate that even schools are unsafe for children in the capital. Also, an enquiry into the role of school authorities must be conducted on the issue."&nbsp;</p>

<p>DCW said that the incident happened when the minor girl was going to her classroom. She collided with the boys which apparently led to the alleged rape.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) officials said that the victim or her parents never reported the incident to the principal. They got to know about it when police started the investigation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>KVS officials said no complaint regarding the matter was received by the school authorities. "The regional office of KVS is investigating the issue. The girl or her parents did not report the incident to the principal. The issue was also not raised at the parent-teacher meeting held after the incident," a senior KVS official said.</p>

<p>Police said that the teaching staff and suspected students are being interrogated on the basis of&nbsp;the victim's&nbsp;statement.</p>
