Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde said that he is aware of what is at stake this week as the Spanish giants prepare for the Catalan derby with Espanyol, the trip to Villarreal and then we host Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou.

Barca hold a ten-point lead in La Liga and have won their last six matches in all competitions, now they have the chance to earn three crucial points as the league is reaching its decisive stage. 

"We take into account that this is a derby and as such is very motivational both for us and them," said Ernesto Valverde. 

Valverde also talked about Lionel Messi's physical problems, he said, "Leo has been suffering from those physical discomforts for some time now."

"We are trying to make him feel better in time. And the same goes for his process with his national team. And now he is back after having rested a few days. And he feels better."

Lionel Messi is back training after missing his country's friendly with Morocco earlier in the week due to a groin injury.
