Paris Olympics: All you need to know about Indian archers' schedule
Paris Olympics 2024 commences with the opening ceremony on Friday (Jul26). However, the Indian archery squad willbe in action on Thursday (Jul25)with as many as sixarchers from the country set to be involved in ranking rounds, at the Les Invalides in Paris. Veteran Deepika Kumari, who has taken part in three Olympics, will spearhead the womenin the individual ranking round in the first half whereas the men will take centre-stage later in the day.

Notably, the ranking will help determine the seedings for the 128 archers in the competition. Each archer will get to shoot 72 arrows in this round and the final score -- over two halves -- will help determine the seeding.
The individual seeding will be out on the basis ofanarcher's score in the ranking round. Meanwhile, the team's seeding is revealed by the total of the archer's scores for men'sand women's team events. Thus, both teams will be on their toes.
The top four seeded teams in the men's team and women's team events will then proceed directly to the quarterfinals. On the other hand, the teams seeded between 5 and 12 will lock horns in the Round of 16 and the winners will go ahead.
Only the top 16 pairs will qualify for the mixed-team event.

Since the 2012 edition, this is the first time thatIndia have sent a full house of six archers to the Games. Thus, expectations are sky-high.
Paris Olympics: When and where to watch the Archery individual ranking round?
Women's Individual Ranking Round will commence on Thursday at 13:00(IST). The men's Individual Ranking Round is at 17:45(IST).
The live streaming of the archery event will be on Jio Cinema. Sports 18, meanwhile, will provide live TV coverage.
The final rounds of the archery competitions at the Paris Olympics will take placefrom July 28 to Aug 4.
