Moto GP returns to India after one-year absence, likely to take place in March 2025

Moto GP is set to return to India after a one-year absence, having debuted in the 2023 campaign after an announcement was made on Thursday (August 1). The premier event was dropped from theMoto GP calendar in 2024, but that won’t be the case in 2025, with the race likely to take place in March 2025. The deal also saw Eurosport, the official broadcaster of the event in India, announce a new three-year agreement with Moto GP, until 2026 inclusive. In addition, Dorna also confirmed a new contract between Moto GP and the government of Uttar Pradesh reaffirming the Indian Grand Prix for the calendar from 2025.

Moto GP debuted in India in September 2023 with a huge response from the Indian crowd, however, the race was dropped from the 2024 calendar of the event. But the latest announcement is set to bring smiles back on the faces of Indian moto sports fans. The deal will run till 2026, giving fans a golden opportunity to witness the annual track race event.
