"Bajwa has made such claims for years, let him say it... He should not count our MLAs and instead, see how many MLAs Congress has in Delhi," the Punjab CM said.
"The law and order of Punjab is better than most states... We have to put in extra effort being a border state, and we are doing that," he added.&nbsp;
Mann's remarks came after Bajwa claimed that over 30 AAP MLAs were in touch with his Congress party.

<h2>INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) rifle</h2>
Developed by Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), INSAS is widely used by Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and various paramilitary forces like the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Border Security Force (BSF). It has faced its own set of issues, which include jamming, limited stopping power, and is being replaced rapidly. All in all, INSAS was a pioneering effort for India in terms of indigenous weapon design and manufacturing.
<h2>Russian Origin AK-203</h2>
The Indian Army has planned to acquire 670,000 AK-203 rifles. Of these, 70,000 were initially purchased directly from Russia with deliveries starting in January 2022. The remaining 600,000 are to be locally manufactured in India through a joint venture named Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL) with Tech transfers from Russia. The joint venture involves Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (formerly Ordnance Factory Board) from India and Kalashnikov Concern and Rosoboronexport from Russia.

The initial batches of rifles produced in India have an indigenization level of around 25%, which is set to increase in phases. Rutba has set a new record in the art of paper folding by making 250 Origami paper boats in one hour. Rutba had applied for this world record twice before and could not break it. However, in her third attempt, she managed to achieve the feat and broke the previous record.
''I am an athlete and during covid all the academies were closed so I started getting into art. I started making landscape art and during that period only I got my name registered in the India Book of records, and that was the point when I decided to do something big. I read about the Guinness book of records, and I researched and applied. I did my research and read about Origami paper art and there was a boy who had made 150 paper boats in an hour and that's where I started and broke his record by making 250 in one hour, '' said Guinness record holder Rutba Showket.
Rutba has been an athlete for the last one decade and has won over 50 medals in state and national level championships. Her room is filled with the awards she won for martial arts. Rutba has also featured in the India book of records. But getting listed in Guinness Book of world records is like a dream come true for her. She has been inspiring girls in the field of sport and now with her new achievement she hopes that Kashmiri girls will break all barriers and create a name for themselves.

Kashmiri Girl sets Guinness World Record in art of paper folding

Authorities announced a slew of measures ahead of the Magh Purnima Snan at the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj on Wednesday (Feb 12) which include a 'No Vehicle' zone' in the area.
The public as well as private vehicles will be parked in the parking lots of respective routes.
Along with this, the authorities have also implemented a ban on the vehicles of the Kalpavasis.
A special traffic plan will be enforced from Tuesday 5 pm until February 12, restricting access to only essential and emergency services.
The administration urged all devotees to abide by the traffic rules and plans to ensure a smooth flow of the 'Snan'.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Monday (Feb 10), said that Indian Railways has made comprehensive arrangements at eight railway stations to facilitate smooth travel for devotees attending the Magh Purnima celebrations at Mahakumbh.
"Railways has taken care of all the arrangements at 8 railway stations for Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Along with the state administration, everything is being done in a very coordinated way. Yesterday, 330 trains left Prayagraj Junction and even today trains are running in an orderly manner. If someone tries to spread rumours, we don't want to listen to them. Everything is going on in a systematic manner," Vaishnaw said.
"We have deployed more than 13,000 railway personnel at the various railway stations in the Sangam Kshetra. Special trains are also being run as per requirement. Yesterday, 12 and half lakh devotees departed in 330 trains. Today also, more than 140 trains have already been operated. 1200 CCTV cameras have been installed. The monitoring is being done on 5 levels. Control rooms have been established at all stations to monitor the CCTV feed. There are CCTVs that also have face-recognition technology and Artificial Intelligence," Information &amp; Publicity Department of Railway Board, Executive Director, Dilip Kumar.

Yesterday, 330 trains left Prayagraj Junction and even today trains are running in an orderly manner. If someone tries to spread rumours, we don't want to listen to them. Everything is going on in a systematic manner," Vaishnaw said. "We have deployed more than 13,000 railway personnel at the various railway stations in the Sangam Kshetra. Special trains are also being run as per requirement. Yesterday, 12 and half lakh devotees departed in 330 trains. Today also, more than 140 trains have already been operated. 1200 CCTV cameras have been installed. The monitoring is being done on 5 levels. Control rooms have been established at all stations to monitor the CCTV feed. Gupta, who was Leader of the Opposition in the 7th Delhi Assembly dissolved last week, said that the Chief Minister of BJP will not live in the bungalow as it was under investigation over alleged irregularities.
He said that the land of the demerged properties and used the land for other official purposes like the construction of government quarters.
The BJP for more than two years, more so during the Assembly election campaign, hit hard at Kejriwal levelling allegations of corruption including irregularities in the reconstruction of the bungalow and lavish interiors, high-end domestic goods and fixtures there.
Kejriwal transformed the bungalow into "an ultra-luxurious 'Sheesh Mahal' by "illegally annexing" neighbouring government properties, Gupta wrote to the LG.
"The scope of these unauthorized alterations is particularly concerning. What was meant to be a standard official residence has been transformed into a lavish complex spanning more than 50,000 square meters," he charged in the letter.
He said that the merged properties included eight Type-V flats at 45 and 47 Rajpur Road, and the two government bungalows (8-A and 8-B Flag Staff Road) with the 6, Flagstaff road bungalow.
"I urgently request your intervention to restore these properties to their original independent status and return 6-lag Staff Road to its previous area of less than 10,000 square meters," he said.
Gupta also requested the LG to expedite the ongoing investigation into these alleged violations, saying swift action is crucial for ensuring accountability and restoring public trust in government institutions.

Railway police struggled to control the crowd and medical teams dispatched to treat injured passengers had to return as they were unable to reach the train. In such cases, we have filed 38 FIRs, and 323 people have been arrested in those cases, and by consequence of this, 587 vendors who provide SIM cards, their licences have been cancelled,&rdquo; said Imtiyaz Hussain, SSP Srinagar, Jammu Kashmir Police.

Our actions also speak about that, and I want to caution those people who are providing such SIM cards and such facilities or any such kind of logistic support to the terrorists or terror associates that they should be ready to face the consequences, and action will be taken against them. At the same time, it&rsquo;s imperative to everyone that any facility that&rsquo;s provided by the government should honour the commitment they give while getting that SIM card. According to The Indian Express, he told the police that travel agents demanded Rs 50 lakh to send him to the US, but the patrolling police there arrested him.
The deported man, Akshay, a resident of Kharar village in Hisar, filed an FIR against three travel agents: Deepak Malik, Rajat Mor and Munish Sharma of the Jind region.

<h2>Illegal route to US</h2>
Akshay described to police how the travel agents sent him to the US in June 2024 on a work visa, which they claimed was legal.
&ldquo;The agents told me that they would charge Rs 35 lakh to send me to the USA legally by air. They said that first I would be sent to Dubai and then to America through a flight directly on a work visa. They sent me to Dubai on July 18, 2024, and kept me there for one month,&rdquo; he told police.
&ldquo;On August 23, 2024, they sought Rs 30 lakh to send me to America from Dubai after five days. Next day, my family gave them Rs 30 lakh,&rdquo; he said. However, Akshay was kept in Suriname, a country in South America, for the next 20 days.

&ldquo;When my family questioned the travel agents for keeping me in Suriname, they replied that I would be sent to America in the next one or two days,&rdquo; he said in his police complaint.
&ldquo;Then, my illegal travel on a bus was arranged for America, but the agents kept telling my family that I was being taken to the US via a flight. They also sought Rs 20 lakh more from my family, which they arranged from an arhatiya (commission agent at a market) on November 28, 2024, and gave the money to them,&rdquo; he detailed.
The man told police that the mafia that was taking him to the US, handed him over to another mafia. &ldquo;They got me to enter America from Mexico on January 25 this year, but the American patrolling police caught me within five minutes. They took me to a detention centre from where I was deported on February 3 this year,&rdquo; he said.

<h2>Police complaint</h2>
The complaint prompted the police to arrest the travel agents and get back the Rs 50 lakh, which Akshay paid to them. An FIR has been lodged at a police station in Hisar for cheating, criminal breach of trust, and under the provisions of the Emigration Act, reported The Indian Express.
According to a police spokesperson, the investigation is underway, said the report. Earlier, the Haryana Police had registered two similar FIRs against three travel agents for alleged cheating and criminal breach of trust on the complaints of two deportees and their families.
A senior police officer said that action would be taken in all cases where the deported youths file a complaint.

The most recent delivery happened on February 6, when Kanchan, 30, from Barabanki, gave birth to a baby boy.

The couple came to Kumbh to look for a job and had been living there, according to the Indian Express report. After the child was born, Deputy CM Pathak congratulated the family.
24-year-old Jyoti Sharma, a homemaker from Gwalior, is also among the 11 women and gave birth to a girl on January 27. She arrived at the Kumbh on January 22 with her husband, Anand Sharma, a businessman, her in-laws and other relatives.

Maha Kumbh 2025: 11 women gave birth at hospital for pilgrims, one baby boy named ‘Kumbh’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that he had a wonderful interaction with young students on different aspects of stress-free exams.&nbsp;

This year's session, the eighth edition, was held at Sunder Nursery in the national capital.
During the session, PM Modi highlighted the importance of nutrition and inquired about students' food and lifestyle choices. He advised them to take "Surya Snan" (sunbath).
A student from Arunachal Pradesh responded, saying her state is known as the "Land of the Rising Sun," and they practice sunbathing daily.
Emphasizing the role of nutrition in growth, the PM said, "Your growth depends on what, when, how, and why you eat." He shared an anecdote, recalling a visit to a family where a child avoided eating millet roti, believing it would darken his skin, and instead preferred rice.
