Meanwhile, in a display of extraordinary courage, Singh’s mother intervened. Despite the danger, she persistently shielded her son from the attackers, bravely placing herself between them and Singh.

According to the police, luckily for the NRI, the attackers' gun got stuck, stopping them from firing any more shots at him. Throughout the incident, Sukhchain Singh’s mother bravely stood between her son and the attackers, trying to protect him. As per doctors, Singh is out of danger

Sukhchain Singh's family has lodged an FIR against five people, who are believed to be relatives of his ex-wife, accusing them of orchestrating the attack.

Amritsar Commissioner Ranjit Singh Dhillon said, "The firing incident occurred due to mutual rivalry between two families. Both families live in the US and they hired Indian shooters for the task. It is only a matter of time till the shooters are arrested. 5 people have been arrested so far. The trail of money transferred from the US to India is being investigated. Soon, others will also be arrested," according to news agencyANI.
