Karnataka: 2 MLAs withdraw support to Congress-JDS govt

Two MLAs in Karnataka have withdrawn support to the Congress-JD(S) government.
Both MLAs — H Nagesh (Independent) and R Shankar (KPJP) — have joined the BJP. They say they want a change in government.
"Today is Makar Sankranti, on this day we want a change in the government. The govt should be efficient, so I am withdrawing my support (to the Karnataka government) today," ANI quoted Shankar as saying.
"My support to coalition government was to provide good and stable government which utterly failed. There's is no understanding among coalition partners. So, I decided to go with BJP to install stable governmentt and see that government performs better than the coalition," ANI quoted Nagesh as saying.
Karnataka Deputy CM G Parmeswara said the BJP was trying to lure their MLAs away.
He added that the attempt would fail and that "our government is stable".
