Two terrorists were killed on Tuesday in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Redwani area of Kulgam.
While one jawan has been killed, two others have sustained injuries in the exchange of fire.
The killed terrorists have been identified as Ajaz Ahmad Makroo, a resident of Qaimoh, and Waris Ahmad Malik who was a resident of Arwani. Both were affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba and were wanted for a series of terror crimes., news agency ANI reported.
The encounter took place early in the morning on Tuesday, a day after least seven Maoists and two policemen were killed in an encounter in south Chhattisgarh's Sukma near Saklar village.
Another encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in Kapran Batagund area of Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday.

According to reports, as many as six terrorists were killed along with a security personnel named Naik Nazir. The security forces recovered weapons and warlike stores, news agency ANI reported.
Four out of six terrorists belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen, rest were from Lashkar-e-Taiba. Both the district commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar were killed, SSP Shopian Sandeep Chaudhary told media.
