Amid tensions between India and Pakistan, intermittent sirens were heard across Jammu on Friday (May 9). Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah posted that intermittent sounds of blasts, probably heavy artillery are being heard.
Pakistani drones being targeted at Srinagar, Budgam, Awantipora, Sapore, Baramulla, Pulwama and Anantnag in Kashmir Valley.
Moreover, there is blackout in Jammunow.
Moreover, 6 to 8 drones were destroyed by Indian air defence over Awantipur, Srinagar and Baramullah.

"Blackout in Jammu now. Sirens can be heard across the city," he added.

CM Abdullah urged people to stay off streets and stay at home, assuring that "we will get through this together."
He also asked people to ignore rumours and not share unsubstantiated or unverified stories.

"It’s my earnest appeal to everyone in & around Jammu please stay off the streets, stay at home or at the nearest place you can comfortably stay at for the next few hours. Ignore rumours, don’t spread unsubstantiated or unverified stories & we will get through this together," he said.

This is the second day, India foiled Pakistan drone attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Explosions and fire like sounds were heard in Channi area of Jammu. Following which, blackout was seen in the city.
Pakistan launched eight missiles at Satwari, Samba, RS Pura and Arnia sector on Thursday, while, all were intercepted by the Indian Air Defence units, ANI reported citing defence sources.
