A 16-year-old student in Hyderabad attempted suicide after being allegedly harassed byher teacher.
The student reportedly said that she was"mentally disturbed"which forced her to takethe step.
The girlis a student of class 12th in Narayan College in Hyderabad.
The girl had complained about her teacher "unnecessarily"punishing her.She said that her maths teacher had allegedly harassed her mentally for six months.
She reportedly complained to the school principal but no action was taken.

The girl said:"My teacher used to punish me without any reason. My mathematics teacher harassed me for six months, she abused me and used to torture me mentally. I complained about it to the principal, but she didn't react."
"I was mentally disturbed and attempted to commit suicide. I need justice and this should not be repeated once again," she added.
Childright's activist,AchootRao has demanded stringent action in the matter.
Raosaid that the state education department has done nothing to reduce the number of deaths due to suicide in the state.
