
Punjabi film superstar Diljit Dosanjh will next be seen portraying the role of Indian hockey legend Sandeep Singh in an upcoming film titled "Soorma". The film is directed by Shaad Ali.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the official poster Tuesday and announced the release date. He wrote:“Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in #Soorma… Based on hockey legend Sandeep Singh… Directed by Shaad Ali… Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh… 29 June 2018 release.”
As seen in the poster, Diljit looks completely transformed as a hockey player, different from the previous characters he has played on the silver screen.
In the movie, Diljit will be seen playing two versions of Sandeep--the aggressive player who is ready to take on the rival team and of a man who is seen seated in a wheelchair.
Earlier, the makers released a teaser poster featuring Diljit and Sandeep.
This is for the first time when Diljit will be sharing screen space with actress Taapsee Pannu, who proved herself to be a commercially viable actor with her latest movie "Judwaa 2". Apart from the duo, the film will also star Angad Bedi, who is part of theSalman Khan starrer"Tiger Zinda Hai".
