
The highly awaited new generation Maruti Suzuki Swift was officially launched in India at the Auto Expo2018 show on Wednesday.The Swift is priced at Rs 4.99 which was revealed at the Auto Expo 2018 show on Thursday.

Unveiled at 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, the new Swift is already available in the international market.
So far Maruti Suzuki India has sold 5.2 million Swift hatchbacks in India and is set to get the third generation Swift now. The1st car will be launched in the MS Arena showrooms.

The bookings for the car have already started for a token amount of Rs 11,000 and the delivery period has been stretched to 6-8 weeks.
The iconic Swift continues to feature among the top five bestselling cars in India for over a decade now and the new model has come equipped with brand new designs and features. The new Swift will carry the same engine specs from the previous model, a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel MultiJet sourced from Fiat to comply with BS4 norms and a 1.2-litre petrol K Series engine mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The car also comes with the best of Suzuki's design capabilities to is built on innovative fifth generation Heartect platform, which makes the car lighter and more fuel efficient with greater stability. It is also offering its Auto Gear Shit transmission (AGS) with the new Swift. The car will come in LXi/LDi, VXi/VDi, ZXi/ZDi, and ZXi+/ZDi+ variants.
The new Swift is continued to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines. It is wider, compact and with a longer wheelbase which provides headroom as well as luggage space. On the exterior, the 2018 Swift gets new headlamps with LED projectors and DRLs, similar to the current Dzire.
Swift also gets a refreshed grille and a new bumper as well. On the interior front, the Swift gets a new console, a new touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and new controls.
