DMK leader A Raja has threatened the Centre and the state government with a warning that the protest for Cauvery Management Board (CMB) may snowball into the demand for separate state of Tamil Nadu.
Issuing a warning, he said the party's agitation will lead to a demand for separate state.
He said, "We want to implement the entire order in letter & spirit. We'll agitate, it'll lead to separate state. Before that, it's warning bell for central and state government, don't push the entire Tamil community to demand a separate state of Tamil Nadu".

Meanwhile, DMK Working President MK Stalin has hinted at launching a " Cauvery Retrieval Walk" for their demand of immediate constitution of Cauvery Management Board.

Parties protesting for the formation of the CMB blocked rails in Thanjavur, disrupting services for some time.They also blocked two express trains.
Protesters at Tiruchirapalli held a rally over the Cauvery and defaced the Tamil name board of the Hindi Prachar Sabha.They also allegedly burnt BJP flags.
In Chidambaram, Tamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi, held a "rail-roko" demonstration.
Protests were also staged against the holding of IPL Matches in the state.
Nam Tamizhar Katchi leader Seeman said they would not allow organisers to conduct IPL Matches in the state. He said they would lay siege and would not allow anyone to enter the stadium.
The state has been protesting for long against the government for not setting up the Cauvery Management Board despite the Supreme Court's direction.
The ruling AIADMK, led by Chief Minister K Palaniswamy and his deputy O Paneerselvam, had observed a hunger strike on April 4 while the DMK led opposition parties' had observed a state-wide bandh on Thursday.
