Kylian Mbappe has finally been unveiled as a Real Madrid player. The French footballer was introduced as the latest Real Madrid player in front of 85000-strong Santiago Bernabeu crowd on Tuesday (Jul 16).

Mbappe was visibly emotional during the unveiling led by legendary French footballer Zinedine Zidane and called his introduction as Real player 'a dream come true.'

“It's an incredible day for me. Since I was a child, I had only one dream, and that was to be here. It means a lot to me to be here. Thanks to the Real fans who have been showering me with love for years. I have another dream now, and that is to live up to the history of this club, the best in the world. I'm going to give my all for this club."

"To all the children here, know that I was like you, I had a dream and I made it come true. With determination, you can achieve anything you want. This is so huge for me. I am proud to be here. I am not going to continue talking because otherwise I will shed tears. Uno, dos, tres: Hala Madrid!,” said Mbappe.

The Frenchman will be donning jersey number 9 just like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo did upon his transfer to Los Bloncos back in 2009.

Mbappe wore number 7 at his previous club - Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in Ligue 1 and dons iconic number 10 in international matches for France.

Both, number 7 and 10 are already allotted to other players in Real Madrid. Brazil's Vinicius Jr. wears Mbappe's favourite number 7, while Croatian Luka Modric wears iconic number 10.

Earlier in the day, Mbappe underwent a medical examination for broken nose at the recently-concluded Euro 2024 where France lost in the semis against eventual winners Spain.
